This is the reason why I love Hank Voight, because Jason Beghe is the seed of him. He is the glue that binds the actor and the character together. Without him there's no way for Hank Voight to be born. He's a wonderful man and veteran actor. I don't know what most have against him or his character but I 've watched the show many times including the 1st episode of the new season to see that he does have a heart of gold that is big as Chicago and he has been affected by each case mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Jason inspires Voight as much as Voight inspires Jason. They sort of empower each other to be or to do better in their own worlds. That's the source of their relationship. I know that both of them have support from their fans as well as the cast and their characters because they admire and respect as well except them and treat them like family regardless of their actions or accusations or their pasts, their rights or wrongs or anything that might make others not such fans of them but even if I was the only fan of them they have my full love and support. They have a lot of people behind them that's knows the true them and that they are willing to do what's best for themselves and those closest to them. You can't judge a book by its cover like how you can't judge a person by what they are or what they wear. What race they are or what religion they believe in or their past or in this case how they handle things in or outside of the law. Judge with your heart not with your eyes. I watched Chicago pd from the beginning up to the last season 5 last episode where voights great detective elias koteas gets shot while a old black cop friend is going to try to make voight lose his badge and voight bsd the whole scam covered while the whole team is looking for elias koteas culprit who shot elias koteas .I hope thier will be a season 6 .
I think when the interviewer says to Jason that he is just as intense as Voight it actually disappoints him. I agree he is intense and cares deeply about what he does. He has had anger issues but I don't believe he is a bully as Sophia Bush has made him out to be and I certainly do not think he's intense in the same way Voight is. I think the interviewer didn't approach that very well there x
