I really believed Filipino had this. But then I realized Phenom spent many rounds trying to solidify how he was going to come in. Then he executed. Phenom adaption was great.. more than I can admit.
Gief is not good in this version, even if someone like Itazan has placed decently well with that character in tournaments. It just happens that Gief's tools in this game suits and helps Itazan's reckless playstyle, but it doesn't suit Snake Eyez who is more about playing solid and patient. Itazan is also great at playing mind games with Gief and that helps contribute to the effectiveness of his playstyle
Zangief just doesn't have the right tools anymore. He can do well at times (see: Stupendous), but he just doesn't have anything to get in, or really force people into advantageous situations. His anti airs are mediocre, he has something like two combos, using armor is risky, SPD is 5 frames. No Green Hand. As it is, I'd say either he or F.A.N.G are the weakest character in the game. Not to say they can't be used with results, just that they are the weakest characters
