I remember the first video of the trips from Birmingham to Chattanooga, but my excursions were behind 611. I remember taking a few trips as a child and riding in the open-air car on those trips. My mother would be so mad, because by the end of the day we were covered in soot. As for me, I loved every second of it!!!
That's pretty rare footage of the Ohio Central. Most of those coaches are still lettered for the Dresden Scenic Railroad venture before they started running out of the Sugarcreek.
I have to give Trackside video this, it gives us a lot more of the doubleheader between N&W 611 and 1218, which was also their last together and the final run of 1218 all together.
Definitely the most I’ve ever seen of both the tripleheader and the doubleheader. One can imagine the tidal wave of foam that would happen if that run was to be replicated in the modern day with all three engines going to Atlanta together rather then splitting.
As an S Line local, I WISH the 4501 would make a return to Asheville. I’d be hitting I-40 so quick the guys who originally paved the Interstate system would be seeing stars, just to go see the ‘01.
What if 1551 gets fired up again for another life under steam, she can one day visit the TVRM and possibly first time meet up with 630 or 4501 for either a future doubleheader or tripleheader? Maybe on a ferry move from Sugarcreek, Ohio to Chattanooga, Tennessee!

@@NickelPlatedProductions Dang it.... I was hoping they would at least include scenes from 3751's 1992 LA to Chicago and return trip in that volume. :T
@@NickelPlatedProductions Darn, they didn’t cover the 765 on the point of the 1992 New River Train. The first day of the ‘92 NRT had the longest consist to date with 33 cars, with the 765’s auxiliary tender and tool car obviously bumping the number up to 35. Would’ve been neat to have seen some professional coverage of that, but I guess the 611’s voyages up the S and W lines, which occurred in the same weekend as the third and fourth days of the ‘92 NRT, outshone the 2-8-4’s West Virginia journeys.
No, this is the only Steamin' show i have from Trackside. Steamin' In '90, Steamin' In '92, Steamin' In '93 & Steamin' from Trackside are all currently lost media as of now.

I don't know why they got wrong on that!
Yeah, not just the railroad name, but they also got the wheel arrangement wrong too!

@@justahillbilly7777 Indeed and That would be the most epic moment in recent times if that were to happen again.
1:15:37 and 1:15:47 same whistle different sound.
You just don't get mainline steam today like you used to in those days
290, the finest Pacific to run in the south

It`s fine to see the steam engine pulling the passenger cars but to see the diesel baby sitters makes me sad.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice
