Mother Day May 11, 1997 C.N.S brain tumor was told I had 30 days to live. Still here 23 yrs later 3 time cancer survivor only by the grace of God. I've had 180 radiation treatments and 157 chemotherapy treatments, tell me how God dose'nt exist.

My mom died December 1 2024 after 26 years battling breast cancer. Looking for songs for her funeral, I came across this. Mom would not have lasted 26 years without all the support she received. My husband was diagnosed with stage 3 sinus cancer. Loving him through it is the only thing you can do sometimes. He is finished with initial chemo and radiation and, has 3 more rounds to go. Cancer takes so much from the patient and their loved ones. This song was truly touching.

I’m going through this now as of September 12th,2021 I was diagnosed with 3 types of cancer, & I just found out this week that it’s another place of my body. I’ve had no treatments, because I don’t have health insurance and I don’t qualify for Medicaid, so I’m fighting this disease day by day. As of today it’s been 184 days since my diagnosis & no treatments. But I still believe in believe in miracles! God bless everyone that has had this disease and fought and overcame this. I hope to be one of these people.
Went through this in 2015, had the most wonderful, loving, caring man who took care of me and all my Dr's appointments and plastic surgeon and my son's and parents. I had to sleep in a recliner and he slept on the loveseat every night, love him more than any man in the world 15 years together and going strong.
Today was a very emotional day, at my school there was this girl named McKinley she was an amazing person, did sports, had good grades, believed in Jesus, had a good boyfriend and she sadly died today on 1/14/25 it was heart breaking to hear what had happened because she was so a nice person and she a leukemia. And every teacher was crying when they first heard about her death. She was a senior and her dream was to be a pro softball player. Sadly she didn’t get to reach her dreams. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 3 and my brother was 6. She beat cancer while taking care of two young kids and a terminally ill mother-in-law. My dad was good at supporting her but it just goes to show how strong she is. I'm 23 now and my brother is 26. My parents stayed together through thick and thin. Now my mom is Cancer free. My dad and my other relatives loved her through it.

It’s been a tough 5 years, my mom battled stage 4 pancreatic cancer and beat it, then she had Covid-19 and her lungs got damaged really bad that her lungs became rigid and not much elasticity. She was in a coma for a few weeks, but now she’s recovering slowly. I’m thankful to God and my step father for helping along the way. She’s a fighter and making progress slowly. I can feel for ya as Im battling cancer for the 2nd time, I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2012 and had chemo , radiation , and then surgery. I did great til 2015 (March) and it came back, this time it metasized to my lungs but im pushing. Just had a birthday yesterday and God gave me another yr.

Always loved Martina, but this song, i cant say how much it helped me 12 yrs ago with breast cancer treatments and radiation, almost not able to finish them, and again 2023, now with 2 thyroid cancers. Dont give up. My daughter took me to Martina's Christmas concert in Milwaukee in 2013 i believe it was, and i cried through the whole song.... 22 year old pregnant sister was diagnosed with stage 3 aggressive Breast cancer exactly a year ago. Since then she had a double masectomy(day after diagnosis), 6 chemo treatments and gave birth 3 months ago to an amazing little boy we call Lucky. I love this song, but it reminds me of my friend who was diagnosed two years ago with lymphoma and my grandma who died in 2009 of pancreatic cancer, so I cry every time I hear it.
When I first heard this song, it REALLY hit home... In late 1993 my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She was 38 with three minor daughters, just like the lady in this song. What followed was nine months of intensive chemo (normal for this disease is typically three to five months), and yeah, it's just as bad as they say. About the only good thing I can say about it is that I don't have to speak of her in the past tense. She was here to see high school and university graduations, the births of our three grandsons, and lots of little things that mean so much. It goes without saying that we think her oncologist walks on water. He is still my primary care doc. She also was around to be there for me when I was in a serious auto accident less than a year after her chemo ended. Over two months on a ventilator, the first month and a half in a medically induced coma. Total of 3 1/2 months in the hospital. We refer to this period as our year in hell, and the period when I was comatose as my time in LaLa land. Update: This video still makes me tear up. Not he only Martina song to do this, the end of "God's Will" is one, and then there is "Concrete Angel". One of my favorite songs of all time, if this video does not tear your heart out, you may not have one. Oh, and I need to update that grandson count, our youngest daughter Melanie just had her second last Friday.

I'm 70yrs old. I got my breast cancer on 4/15/11 Surgery was 5/3/11 & Had implants put in after my double mastectomy. 6 weeks later had to have them removed. I was 58 at the time. This song means so much to me and my mother. This song came out about 2 or 3 months after my mom was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer. I wish I could tell you in person how much this song meant to her and our family. My mom was 37 when she was diagnosed and she at three kids like the song , even though the women was 38 in the song,. My mom died December 1 2024 after 26 years battling breast cancer. Looking for songs for her funeral, I came across this. Mom would not have lasted 26 years without all the support she received. This song is a great testament to those who survive and those who have helped. We all go through the grief of losing a parent, partner, or friend. But we would not have come through so much without the support of friends, families, and medical staff who've all been part of this journey. Thank you

I'm not a woman, but personally I think this song should be dedicated to anyone male or female, or child who is fighting cancer. I had it when I was 17 back in 96. I'm blessed today to be almost 38 and cancer free 19yrs. My family and friends were there for me and loved me through it.

I’m going through this now as of September 12th,2021 I was diagnosed with 3 types of cancer, & I just found out this week that it’s another place of my body. I’ve had no treatments, because I don’t have health insurance and I don’t qualify for Medicaid, so I’m fighting this disease day by day. As of today it’s been 184 days since my diagnosis & no treatments. But I still believe in believe in miracles! God bless everyone that has had this disease and fought and overcame this. Went through this in 2015, had the most wonderful, loving, caring man who took care of me and all my Dr's appointments and plastic surgeon and my son's and parents. I had to sleep in a recliner and he slept on the loveseat every night, love him more than any man in the world 15 years together and going strong.

Today was a very emotional day, at my school there was this girl named McKinley she was an amazing person, did sports, had good grades, believed in Jesus, had a good boyfriend and she sadly died today on 1/14/25 it was heart breaking to hear what had happened because she was so a nice person and she a leukemia. And every teacher was crying when they first heard about her death. She was a senior and her dream was to be a pro softball player. Sadly she didn’t get to reach her dreams. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 3 and my brother was 6. She beat cancer while taking care of two young kids and a terminally ill mother-in-law. My dad was good at supporting her but it just goes to show how strong she is. I'm 23 now and my brother is 26. My parents stayed together through thick and thin. Now my mom is Cancer free. My dad and my other relatives loved her through it.

I can feel for ya as Im battling cancer for the 2nd time, I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2012 and had chemo , radiation , and then surgery. Nobody will ever understand how much this song means to me as a daughter of a single mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer last January. She is the most amazing person I've ever met. She not only took care of me and my brother, but took in my brothers best friend who's family went homeless when he was 16. Now they have both moved out, but I am 19 living at home with her and can't imagine life without her. I've dropped classes at College to make sure I can get her to all of her appointments on time. Always loved Martina, but this song, i cant say how much it helped me 12 yrs ago with breast cancer treatments and radiation, almost not able to finish them, and again 2023, now with 2 thyroid cancers. Dont give up. My daughter took me to Martina's Christmas concert in Milwaukee in 2013 i believe it was, and i cried through the whole song.... Helps me get through my cancer treatments. This song says exactly how I felt/feel with multiple surgeries and chemo. When you're so young and don't have a partner in a big city by yourself, it's hard to get through it.
I beat bowel cancer & now fighting stomach, bladder & lymph node cancer, I'm not even 30 yet. It's exhausting, but I have an amazing boyfriend who makes me laugh everyday even when I want to cry.. He's the best ❤️

22 year old pregnant sister was diagnosed with stage 3 aggressive Breast cancer exactly a year ago. Since then she had a double masectomy(day after diagnosis), 6 chemo treatments and gave birth 3 months ago to an amazing little boy we call Lucky. She is now cancer free and is getting reconstructive surgery tomorrow! Xoxoxo

My unborn child was moving to this song and it made me cry a little because me and my mom thought she had cancer before I knew I was pregnant and it scared me, but thankfully she doesn't I don't know what I would do without my mom with her grandbaby is almost here
I love this song, but it reminds me of my friend who was diagnosed two years ago with lymphoma and my grandma who died in 2009 of pancreatic cancer, so I cry every time I hear it.
When I first heard this song, it REALLY hit home... In late 1993 my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She was 38 with three minor daughters, just like the lady in this song. What followed was nine months of intensive chemo (normal for this disease is typically three to five months), and yeah, it's just as bad as they say. About the only good thing I can say about it is that I don't have to speak of her in the past tense. She was here to see high school and university graduations, the births of our three grandsons, and lots of little things that mean so much. It goes without saying that we think her oncologist walks on water. He is still my primary care doc.
She also was around to be there for me when I was in a serious auto accident less than a year after her chemo ended. Over two months on a ventilator, the first month and a half in a medically induced coma. Total of 3 1/2 months in the hospital. We refer to this period as our year in hell, and the period when I was comatose as my time in LaLa land.
Update: This video still makes me tear up. Not he only Martina song to do this, the end of "God's Will" is one, and then there is "Concrete Angel". One of my favorite songs of all time, if this video does not tear your heart out, you may not have one.
Oh, and I need to update that grandson count, our youngest daughter Melanie just had her second last Friday.
This song has meant so much to me. I am a cancer survivor. It comes back I fight. I know one day I won't make it but the time I'm given I'll take. My husband gave me this song and he truly loves me through it. If not for the love of my family and friends I wouldn't be here today but most of all the love and strength God has blessed me with. I never really thought about that until now, me and my aunt were really close, she was the most closest family member I was mostly close too. My sister, Julie Milana, died of cancer November 4th, but because hospice didn't call it, their records indicate Nov 5th, 2021. I miss her so much already. implants put in after my double mastectomy. 6 weeks later had to have them removed. I was 58 at the time. Luckily I didn't have chemo or radiation since the double mastectomy. This song means so much to me and my mother. This song came out about 2 or 3 months after my mom was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer. I wish I could tell you in person how much this song meant to her and our family. My mom was 37 when she was diagnosed and she at three kids like the song , even though the women was 38 in the song,. My mom died of leukemia 3 years ago this December. And I miss her everyday. The holiday season sucks and I can't stop myself from crying because the disease took away someone that meant so much to me. But I'm going to keep living my life the way my mom wanted me too. Love you, mom ❤️❤️❤️

I claimed my victory from the beginning. I couldn't believe that God was going to let me die. I REFUSED to die. I was alone of a human person. Just me & God in the room when diagnosed. After going through 8 surgeries in 2 yrs, now im going on 6 years cancer free.

I was just diagnosed with stage 3C hypercalcemic small cell ovarian cancer and have already had surgery and about to undergo chemo. I’ve been very good not to cry until seeing and hearing this song again 😭😭😭

My grandma has cancer, but they didn't catch it in time. She is not strong enough for chemo. She has always been the person to "love me through it". So this hurts so bad. She deserves better than this.

An old friend of my mom had breast cancer, it was diagnosed soo late so they couldn't do anything about it, and told her she'll live a few weeks more if she was so strong.. She lived 16 years after before dying.. so just love your grandmother and have faith in God and everything's gonna be okay ❤I hope she'll get well soon ♡♡
This song I dedicate to my mom who was just diagnosed with advanced stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She was told 6 to 12 months... This is so hard... I cant loose her. I never imagined a pain this painful...im gonna love her through it...every word of this song fits perfect... I love you mom... We are gona fight this and you will survive
My mom knew she was sick. But didn’t get diagnosed till too late. Just love your mom more. Tell her every day. I don’t regret my time I was with my mom till she passed. Prayers for you and your mom ❤️
Thank you but unfortunately about a month and a half after her diagnosis we lost her. Worst time of my life holding her hand watching her take her last breath... We were so close.. 2.5 yrs later and still stings just as bad.. I told her before she died this was my song to her .. she went fast.. thank you for ur encouraging words and I'm so sorry for your loss maybe our moms met in Heaven
My mom has cancer in her bones and she is doing pretty good but keep the prayers lifted up for her.
