Yes,you can.I use mi 4c.But u should not use any kind of mi rorter, because it is a very disgusting router I have ever seen.If u use it,you should face many problems.So choose another router in lieu of mi routers.Thanks
The modem routers competition available today is abysmal.. ten years ago shopping for a router was so pleasant and exciting so many good choices to choose from, now is just ukh.. most are rubbish and ur left with a couple of choices..
Netgear is garbage Ive had the R7960 i believe. Its the one just below the R8000. And its firmware has been stuck for years. No support help, they just give you the guide link to basic updating.. and pretend that is a solution... Doesnt work even flashing it, or factory reset. Manually installing firmware doesnt work, revert or by incremental versions. Do not buy their crap. Basic updates are too complex for them to manage.. and then they just left those of us who got screwed hanging unless you had warrantee.. Should never need to pay more for basic updates...
This is an awful video. The info might of been good 5-10 years ago. We have newer wifi standards that make this video look like a joke. You would have to be an absolute idiot to buy a 802.11a router (wifi 1), when wifi 7 is already here. AX routers have been out for 2+ years (wifi 6/6e) these are the routers people need to look at. They are $30+ and work great. If you buy any of these routers, I feel awful for you.

Get a family member or roommate, make them change the name of the wifi and its password and hide the ssid. Now hide the router in a place that is not visible unless someone is looking for it. Now tell the roommate to turn it on and off randomly. Your job is to guess if the router is on or off and tell that to roommate everyday and then you both go check if you are right or wrong. Your delusion of how wifi works will shatter.
