Thon crosswind thing is a ball ache, I’m sure you need to do it with the merc star laptop, I had a small strip of rag tied onto the N/S mirror arm so the wind blows the rag over the mirror and cleans it, that hiviz wetsuit is the same I’ve got and can’t fault it, I take it your stores have a brain and let you take what you need?? Stores usually think parts are coming out their own wallet 😂, have you got a night heater in back to keep tools etc dry/warm
Yea they’re not to bad sometimes you’d think it was coming out their own Waller we used to get black surgical gloves you’d get through 3 pairs on a 500 hr service probably 100 pairs a month they grumbled at the price of the orange ones at the start but I think they’ll be paying for them selves now I recon I’m using 100 pairs over 3-4 months 😂

Great video Ali I've just done 103474 miles in my 19 plate 316 automatic van this it I went for a low roof one .it's my 5th Mercedes sprinter . i can fill mine up every other day it will do 450 on a full tank. but very comfortable to drive the cross wind is a pain when on cruise control . its not got as much power as my 14 plate one .
Auto forgot to mention in the video I’d love an auto ! I bet I could get 450 out of a tank if I were on decent roads ! My317 has plenty in the power department no complaints there 😂
@@alisdiggerdiary it runs on the limit of 3.5 tons it's the second auto I've had I do lots of motorway miles from the Midlands to London but I work all over the country but a good van .
Hello Mate the 2017 sprinter I drive has the cross wind assist, can defiantly catch you out if your not expecting it. Its got 250,000km on it now and it gets about 14L/100km if I'm taking it easy. (20mpg) I ran it over a scale a couple of week ago and it pretty heavy (4200kg) so I guess it not so bad. Its and auto as well so much more relaxing to drive 😉
I`m with you on the crosswind assist, it really slams the brakes on when it kicks in, as for the carplay it seems to be a problem on mine when i use it as a sat nav, since i've switched to my work phone and use android auto it's fine and never drops out, i work lands end to john o groats so i use the sat nav heavily and car play was a right pain when it dropped out in central london etc, another great vid m8, stay safe
I’ve got the same van 23000 on it now first time the cross wind assist came on was exciting never knew it had it😂 rear suspension gave up around 12000 just sits on bump stops now (not overloaded) found it to be a very low van before that too not ideal for the off road work
Is it just me or was it the video making that rototilt look like is was turning slow and struggled a bit to tilt and turn while picking up the stone? Great video as always bud
Yeah cracking bit of kit once you get used to them am currently in a Takeuchi tb295w duck with engcon after coming out of a jcb hydradig with engcon, will need to try get a shot of a rototilt see how they compare also fancy a shot of a doosan duck unfortunately Blackwood don’t run any yet lol
@@bunter92 heard a lot of good things about Takeuchi ducks I know I see TH-cam videos of tilt rotators and think yea that looks easy … it ain’t 😂 there’s definitely a skill to running one 👍
Grear video as normal ali. How do you get on with the orange gloves ? I love them. Get yourselfs a pair of Railway orange all in one wet suits bloody spot on. Lol. Wet dry and good. You must know someone on the rail.
Yea orange gloves are great generally re use them for a couple jobs before they break I recon a box of 100 will last 3-4 months and I wear them for anything 😂 I’ll have to mention it to a mate of mine in the rail 😉😂
Yer they are good I got given some from a fitter on liebherr never looked back. Get the rail winter ones mate they are spot on. Anything in our game free or cheap is nice. I have two pair but the will be to big for you. Sorry. LoL

I think mine sits higher than my old van but I expect it to settle in after a few months see how it goes 🤞
