- This was filmed at an Out-Spoken Live event in the Purcell Room, Southbank Centre. It's a small section of a spoken word theatre piece written about my experiences as a butch woman, a lesbian, and about our bodies as battlegrounds.
The full show is called C*NTO, written in a series of cantos, and developed through a commission from Apples and Snakes around the theme of PROTEST. It was set in a barbed wire boxing ring, as a woman slowly gets dressed into a 3-piece suit.
Special thanks to Karim Kamar for filming and editing, and to the Southbank Centre for the audio.
The theatre version was directed by Rob Watt with a stage design by Bethany Wells.

Congratulations on your TS Eliot prize. Brilliant!
How heavy those words drop like missiles... So sad today the world only drinks words that are fizzled.
Absolutely great!
