OK so taking the protective film off the Vat FEP is a must, but the protective film that is on the screen can be left on it. In fact I order slightly larger 13 inch screen protectors for lap top computer screens and put them on my M3 Max and I have had leaks from the vat on that machine and the screen protector has kept the resin from going down into the machine. Trust me on this. The first time the vat failed it leaked resin down into my M3 Max and ruined the screen. 6 weeks later I get a replacement screen from Anycubic. the first screen had a screen protector on it but it was the exact size of the screen. The lap top protectors are about an inch wider and longer and I have to trim around where the screws hold the vat in place. I use Electric Tape to cover the area's where the printed out border tape decal goes. When I had another vat leak due to FEP breakage the resin made a mess on the bottom of the FEP, and the Screen but it couldn't leak down through the seam this time. I am going to set up the Mighty 8K as shown on initial set up as it is a smaller screen machine, but I am boing to leave on the screen protector, and when it wears out I am going to use the 13 inch lap top ones to trim them to overfit this machine also. I buy them on Amazon and they are significantly cheaper that the ones that Anycubic, or Phrozen sell. They are the same quality as far as printing through them goes.
I have had my Mighty 8K in the box in my Printing office for about a month now. I havn't had time to unbox it and set it up until today. I have been using an Anycubic M3 Max and a 4K M3. Phrozen has a reputation for being superior, so I am going to pit them against each other. I print Large scale Star Trek models that I model in the Blender Software. I have had ghosting issues with some parts on the Anycubic machines but I think it is because of their slicer causing it. I then started using Chitubox but is still converts the file into the anycubic slicer format, so I am hoping that since the Phrozen machines go strait from Chitubox that it will eliminate the ghosting problem. I am on the Phrozen group on Facebook. As far as the size, I am hoping to get a Mega 8Ks by December. I will see if I can swing it by then.

As for protecting the screen and everything from resin... why not use a car Ceramic coating on every part you don't want the resin to stick to...
