I think what is portrayed in these shows is spiritual intimacy, two people learning they are halves of a greater whole. I've seen a lot of kisses that were much less intimate than some of these scenes. Too often people think that physical intimacy creates spiritual intimacy, but I've always felt that was backwards. Vision must come before action, thought before speech, therefore: the physical proceeds from the spiritual not the other way around. What gives the physical gestures meaning is the spiritual connection. Also, while I am capable of filling in a scene by imagining two characters sharing a kiss when it would be natural for any two people to do so, I can't fill in the first part of a scene that depicts a kiss and nothing else. I see a lot more of the latter than the former in media, both western and eastern.

Word of Honor had me on its courage to push the limits of censorship.
Wei Wuxian and Wen Kexing smiles just had me weak on my knees. Lan Wangji and Zhou Zi Shu cold elegant charm is to die for.

Oh I love this edit. When I watched Word of Honor after the The Untamed, I didn't notice these scenes are similar. It looks like real parallel worlds.

Man!!!! These two legendry series are fu**ing similar. It's like season 1 and 2. I have noticed it before that they do have similarities but when these scenes are cut and pasted together, it gives more chilles and the song is like cherry on top of the cake. Awesome edit.
