In all seriousness, I don’t know what’s so appealing about this kind of music. It’s just so... timeless. Like it evokes a universal sense of happiness.
@@srijamitra4806 sorry, I suppose that read wrong, now that I’m looking at it again. I meant something more along the lines of: “Why does this appeal so much to me? Old folk music isn’t something that I hear every day, so I don’t understand why hearing it just automatically evokes feelings of timeless happiness within me.” It was an expression of wonderment, rather than of incredulousness.
@@CurlyHairedRogue wow, it's so great that you're replying after 2 years!! 😯 And sorry I misunderstood haha, it truly is such an amazing song :) one of my favourites and has been since the first time I heard it, similar case as yours! 😁
Just came back from a 4 months journey in Asia (India, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan) and this was my anthem, listened to it everyday, and so, thanks for this !
Usually, I'm not a big fan of your songs with a voice, even though some are great (Telescope, for exemple). But this one is so beautiful that I've been listening to so many times I know by heart and still can't get enough of it. Definitely one of the two best of this new album, so wonderful. I create some new art pieces with it that I'm quite proud of it and you remain the main inspiration, wether in my art or in my writing, so thanks. I'm impatient to hear new music ! (sorry, I never get enough of your work, but take your time :D)
Very inspirational song for my next book in an adventure stoy,, where two companions travel around their world. They started off in Finland, travelled through Norvegian landscapes and now cross the ocean, which brings them to the Scottish/Irish kingdom of "Eachgall".
I love the bagpipes, this instrument reminds me of good times in Bretagne. Thank you again for sharing this heartwarming song Marcus and all the amazing musicians who contributed !
Your music gives me inspiration to work on my own story. It also keeps playing as my daily playlist and brings so much joy to my life. Bless you Marcus!
One of my favorite tracks from 39 Seconds! I love how incorporated it is in Where the Earth Meets the Sky; that whole album and this song gives me How to Train Your Dragon vibes (especially the 3rd film)! Lovely work Marcus; I look forward to your future works! ^^
Hello from France 😆 This song is so amazing !!! What am I saying... All your songs are ! There are pretty few musicians / composer that I follow for years, you are clearly part of them ! I hope I can still listen to you for a long time 😊
Returning home after work and listening to it transforms these moments into sweet and pleasant ... I was humming all morning, so pleasant surprise. By the way, nothing happened with the storm, it was just a normal late summer storm here. hugs from my little town. P.S. Music is magic... thanks a lot!!
This is one of the best of "39 Seconds" in my opinion, the vocals and the text flow so well together. And while it may just be me, I find that you can read so many stories into it as well. Bravo!
I remember hearing this during the album premier stream, and oh MAN what a song. That vocalist sounds incredible, and she has that gorgeous accent to go with it >u< Also my goodness so many collaborators! What a huge project this must have been to undertake. Listening to the final product though, It MUST have been worth it in the end, cause this easily skyrockets up there as one of my favorite tracks I've heard from you. Keep on being amazing Marcus!
Great tune! I somehow get the vibes of 'Test flight' track of 'How to train your dragon' from those more drive-y parts, even though I can say they sound rather different.
Holy crap, I loved this song in the documentary, wasnt sure it was available on youtube since its being sold as soundtrack for the movie, so I am super excited to see it! I dont usually go for vocals much but this and See me fight by TSFH are my obsessions right now, Kaitlin has a beautiful voice. This is an incredible piece, I feel like im writing this in comment sections for just about all your songs but damn if it isnt true.
All the tracks are available to listen to on Spotify, which is free like TH-cam, but actually helps me make a sustainable income. Thank you for the comments.
Out of all the songs i have ever heard in my life, this is the only music that beated my most favorite song in my life. Thank you for sharing your artistic brilliance in this world Marcus, always be unique ;)
I'm pretty sure this song's my favourite from your 39 seconds album... The voice and the music are so beautiful ! Thank you for providing us with tracks so awesome !
My man Marcus! This song has helped me through my darkest times to help me feel joy and conviction. I'd have to say it's my favorite song now! Well done and thank you. :)
Hey Marcus, I'm not sure if you'll be reading this. But I just recently discovered your channel and I'm so grateful for it, you're the best composer I've seen this year! Keep it up man!
Would it be evil of me to ask what it means? I got the impression it was the land speaking to a traveler, but not sure. This is my favorite piece of world/epic music right now.
Lyrics (Credits to Jo Hammon): Stay, in my shelter Beneath, a bed of stone Though tides, pull me under I’ll be carried, carried home Grey shorelines, break the silence With songs of rivers flow And I see you, cross the ocean But I will never go, I will never go But I will never go, I will never go Taken, through the open To faceless, disarray Crowded hallways, filled with colours And rooftops, where giants play In streets, we heard a calling A house where, summers show Burnt feet, and cities sprawling But I will never go, I will never go But I will never go, I will never go Stay, in my shelter Beneath, a bed of stone Though tides, pull me under I’ll be carried, carried home Grey shorelines, break the silence With songs of rivers flow And I see you, cross the ocean But I will never go, I will never go
