Diana married her Prince Charming... And Prince Charles & Camilla's longterm friendship eventually became a strong marriage. Camilla weathered all the storms & kept strong for Charles. The way she helped King Charles with his mother's death & got them all through the funeral and being the new king and then filling in so seamlessly when cancer struck. She earned my respect.

On Charles’ visit to Australia, he was very well accepted and received by the Aussie citizens. They love him because he gives everything a go and is not afraid to do something they ask of him. He’s so friendly. It was a surprise as the premiers of each state refused to meet him, however, I’m so happy for him that the crowds were bigger than expected, since they keep harping on TV about A Republic Australia . No Republic for me, I love and feel safe with our King and Commonwealth. I like Charles, he does a marvellous job. She stands back from them as if they are going to eat her for dinner or something. I saw her same body language and smirks when she went to Canada. I can see why the people are not that attracted to her as they were for Diana and for Kate. She needs to view herself on video to see how she interacts with ppl and improve her image.

There is historical precedent. Queen Victoria had a half sister. Richard 11 had half brothers. HenryIV had legitimised half brothers. The institution of monarchy has coped with most things over the years.

However, Parker Bowles had a wandering eye (several times) and the marriage fell apart. When Charles was widowed their longstanding close friendship further developed, but IMO she never aspired to be a Queen. As you say, it was Charles who insisted on pushing her further into the limelight. Also IMO should Charles pass away before her, she will fade away from the royal scene (but still carry on with her favourite charitable work) and retire back to her own home and family where she is most comfortable,

I read your email with interest and of course nobody really knows what goes on behind the scenes. However, it has been proved beyond measure that Camilla and the prince of wales as he was then had been having an affair for many years, what her husband did or did not is immaterial, but no man cares to be called a cuckold whether it be a royal or otherwise. Too much whitewashing of people in high places goes on, the fact that Camilla is working and behaving as a queen is supposed to be according to the ‘rules’ is commendable but do wish people would stop with re-writing history… I have lived for many years and do remember those times, furthermore, I too know somebody who was knows a great deal about the royal household, retired now and I was astonished at the things I was told, would I ever repeat them? Lady C, You mentioned the Swedish Royal family. I have followed them almost as much as the British Royal family. I am American. The Swedish Royal family is such a nice family. What stood out the most, to me, was when their only son, Prince Carl Philip, married a girl by the name of Sofia Hellqvist. I'm sure you know, it was a little concerning, at the time, because Sofia had done a few questionable things. For example, she was a model & posed for a magazine wearing only a bikini bottom & a live boa constrictor on her upper body!!! People were concerned as to what sort of wife she would make for the Prince. Surprisingly, since marrying, Sofia has been a wonderful wife to Carl, an excellent mother to 3 boys, an ideal Princess & lady!!! On the other hand, everyone loved Meghan, when Harry married her, calling her a wonderful breath of fresh air & were so happy he found her! One: the Royal family have a positive standing amongst the vast majority of Irish. On Charles’ visit to Australia, he was very well accepted and received by the Aussie citizens. They love him because he gives everything a go and is not afraid to do something they ask of him. He’s so friendly. It was a surprise as the premiers of each state refused to meet him, however, I’m so happy for him that the crowds were bigger than expected, since they keep harping on TV about A Republic Australia . No Republic for me, I love and feel safe with our King and Commonwealth. I like Charles, he does a marvellous job. As for Camilla I find her body language

She stands back from them as if they are going to eat her for dinner or something. I saw her same body language and smirks when she went to Canada. Hellos 👋🏻 Lady C. I feel that this year, although it has been a challenging year for the Royal Family, have shown the world that Harry and Megan are not needed or wanted. There was a lot of concern about King Charles III slimed down Monarchy. But this year has proved that, although not ideal, the Royal Family can continue without the riff raff.
Metaphorically speaking, there's a graveyard full of flash in the pan celebrities . Harry and Meghan have yet to realise that people have moved on to the next big thing as they always will. It takes a tremendous amount of talent to maintain celebrity status long term. The difference between celebrity and royalty is something Meghan never had a grasp of.

Yes you can! Eugenie clearly made a mistake and changed sides as soon as she realised what Meghan was. You don’t have to admire her, but Eugenie is 100% royal and is 100% for the monarchy. She may at the same time still be on Harry’s side in part, but that’s ok he is her cousin.

It amazes me just how many people do not realise the difference between a Queen Regnant and a Queen Consort.

A Queen Regnant is a Queen who was born into the RF and a Queen Consort is soneone who marries into the RF.
Both are titled Queen.

There is historical precedent. Queen Victoria had a half sister. Richard 11 had half brothers. HenryIV had legitimised half brothers. The institution of monarchy has coped with most things over the years.

If you ever see old commentary by these people on Harry and William, none of those peoples commentary has aged well over time. Their predictions particularly on Harry have proven to be to be wrong. I have zero inside contacts, but you could look at the behavior of Harry, that the palace tried to cover up, and figure there is a serious problem with that young man. He's not just a cheeky prince.

Lady C. I agree with you regarding Queen Camilla. All she ever wanted was to be a 'Home Counties' wife and mother enjoying horse-riding and gardening.
However, Parker Bowles had a wandering eye (several times) and the marriage fell apart. When Charles was widowed their longstanding close friendship further developed, but IMO she never aspired to be a Queen. As you say, it was Charles who insisted on pushing her further into the limelight.
Also IMO should Charles pass away before her, she will fade away from the royal scene (but still carry on with her favourite charitable work) and retire back to her own home and family where she is most comfortable,
I hope Camilla doesn't fade away, should she be widowed. She's served her apprenticeship and earned her stripes. She will be Dowager Queen and will still have lots to give the Royal family and her charities and patronages.
I read your email with interest and of course nobody really knows what goes on behind the scenes. However, it has been proved beyond measure that Camilla and the prince of wales as he was then had been having an affair for many years, what her husband did or did not is immaterial, but no man cares to be called a cuckold whether it be a royal or otherwise. Too much whitewashing of people in high places goes on, the fact that Camilla is working and behaving as a queen is supposed to be according to the ‘rules’ is commendable but do wish people would stop with re-writing history… I have lived for many years and do remember those times, furthermore, I too know somebody who was knows a great deal about the royal household, retired now and I was astonished at the things I was told, would I ever repeat them? No I would not because it’s not the sort of thing I do.
I totally agree - Camilla is great value, genuine, fun and well grounded. I love her just as much when she is no longer queen-if she survives Charles!

Lady C, You mentioned the Swedish Royal family. I have followed them almost as much as the British Royal family. I am American. The Swedish Royal family is such a nice family. What stood out the most, to me, was when their only son, Prince Carl Philip, married a girl by the name of Sofia Hellqvist. I'm sure you know, it was a little concerning, at the time, because Sofia had done a few questionable things. For example, she was a model & posed for a magazine wearing only a bikini bottom & a live boa constrictor on her upper body!!! People were concerned as to what sort of wife she would make for the Prince. Surprisingly, since marrying, Sofia has been a wonderful wife to Carl, an excellent mother to 3 boys, an ideal Princess & lady!!! On the other hand, everyone loved Meghan, when Harry married her, calling her a wonderful breath of fresh air & were so happy he found her! Well, we all know how all that turned out!!! 😊 Guess you just can't judge a book by it's cover!!!
