I really think the reason he doesn't like this game is because he is trying to hard to make sure he does everything. It's way more fun if you just go wherever the game takes you
Word. Also stopping to check/read EVERY item really destroys the pacing and immersion of the game.
This isn't Dark Souls, I feel like his brain just can't unlearn that.
Absolutely, man's literally going down a list of things to do, that's great for a challenge run but, imo, not a great way to experience a game for the first-ish time.
I look forward to seeing your thoughts on some of the mid to late game areas
Been messing around with power stanceing, if one weapon is bleed it doesn't work so well, if both are bleed it procs normally. Might be worth trying on daggers
I've been trying to do a build with daggers and status' the problem is the way Elden rings MVs work make it so when you power stance things like daggers your only applying 50-65% of the status with each hit, where as paired weapons (fists are the only ones I know off the top of my head) deal a constant 65% (two handed, with both they deal 100% in one hand, but the fist deal 100% two handed in certain parts of the combo) but the fist have the added point of being able to buff both with one spell, and if you apply bloodflame blade the bleed over time makes them absolutely busted.
@nightflare22 do you use occult daggers? I can't apply additional status to my bloody weapons. I've always increased higher buildup as opposed to higher damage rating, so I am more unfamiliar with occult, if that allows you to apply additional status buildup, that would be busted. I just added it to power stancing grataxes, any obstacle isn't much of one, I see why people go STR.
@@Grandmaster-Vex if you infuse it with a status or you normally can't buff it, there's a few other options, you can either buff your left hand weapon with a spell, then use grease to buff your right hand weapon, or you can infuse one weapon and buff the other, or you can use a weapon with a base effect (like the hook claws for example) you can infuse them for damage and apply a buff to add another status, such as poison weapon, or bloodflame blade. The problem I have with daggers specifically is their MVs which make it take twice as many hits to apply the status when power stanceing, this applies to pretty much every weapon, the benefit of power stacking is the extra damage you deal, for about 1.5x damage if the entire attack hits.
@nightflare22 you can't use grease, or Magic to add additional affinities to weapons that already have an affinity. However you can use an ash of war, like poison mist to do so. Also I've only had proc issues when power stanceing two weapons of different affinities. Like-weapons proc close to normally, my one scythe takes two hits to proc, my dual scythe takes two attacks to proc, It's fairly similar. Daggers may be different due to low damage output, I don't use them, so I wouldn't know. my axes and scythes do fine with dual weilding proc though
@@Grandmaster-Vex that was probably the problem I was having then, because my first build was a status/strength claw build that delt status like crazy but I wasn't able to achieve anything close with daggers because because it's so much harder to apply two statuses like that.
A large sum of enemies and specifically bosses in Elden Ring are immune to poison while weak to Scarlet Rot(Toxic) or just Bleed. Its basically the inverse of Darksouls 2 where things were just immune to bleed but not poison or toxic. BUT... The enemies you can poison/rot are completely cheesed with it or absolutely push overs in some cases.
ALSO: Home-schooling is objectively the best way to teach your child, current day education is based on the Roman Empire Slave education that was designed to teach certain skills and only certain skills with nothing beyond them. Home-schooling lets you actually shape knowledge to the bases of being able to do anything you actively want to achieve because the schooling you had taught nonfixed to a singular matter knowledge. Marcus Tullius Cicero's works on the New Roman Man and the roman education system at the time is almost a 1 to 1 rebuking of modern day schooling. If you worry about your kid not being able to learn how to be social put them in local sports, local game shops for things like cards, and or other situation that teach REAL WORLD social interaction not protected public or private school social interaction. Real world social interaction is EXTEREAMLY different from how you interact with your peers at a school building.
Home schooling is fucking bullshit propagated by religious sociopaths for the express purpose of indoctrinating children into their garbage, whatever said garbage may be.
It has been glommed onto by right-wing pieces of shit as a way to end support for public schools and help move children into privately funded for-profit charter schools that are not beholden to Federal education standards and can be as discriminatory as they want.
Anyone advocating for home schooling has fallen down this shitwell of lies and can be readily dismissed.
The Romans fucked children. I don't think you want to use them as an example of anything pertaining to children, unless that's your point and why you're so into home schooling. Less chance of them telling their friends when they only see their friends once a week for baseball practice, eh?
