Saotome really isn't as soft and delicate as Tamasaburo. i'm not saying the kid isn't good. he's amazing. but his characters are totally different from Tamasaburo. the latter always seems to play soft, beautiful, and delicate women while this boy plays strong and independent young women. it's amazing to see the generational gap at work!

Even if it s a modern form of Kabuki, i repeat this is NOT Kabuki but TAISHU ENGEKI. If a Japanese read your comment, he would probably tell you the same thing cause they respect the differences of the 2 forms and noone would make the mistake to name it Kabuki. (As if they would call Kabuki for Noh theater, it s ridiculous) Remember that.
ps: there s a few weeks, i was talking about S.Taichi and Taishu Engeki with Japanese friends and they never said "No, it s "Kabuki", you re totally wrong !!"

Me, i said as their style of dance & experience are very different, we cannot compare them & i took the advantage to tell what i think cause i have seen on other videos people saying wrong things. And i said i "half agree" cause B.T is able to play other roles than delicate & soft women for example, in Aoi no Ue or Kagami jishi which are a bit violent ;)))

I half agree to what you said cause i prefere to clarify, it isn t cause of the difference of character they play. I like Saotome Taichi, but, Tamasaburo is 100 times better. The level is totally and the style of theatre are completly different, to make a parallel between them is totally incongruous. Tamasaburo too is able to play independent young women as he s able to play everything. People who would like to think they have a equal level are ignorants. :(

i think you should reread my comment. i never said they were on the same level. if nothing else, Tamasaburo is about twice as old, thus twice the experience.
all i said was the characters they play are different. people who jump to conclusions without thinking out their comments "are ignorants" :(
