Horses for courses. One needs to choose if one needs a long legged highway tourer or a core offroader. Each extreme will compromise the other. Each one needs to find their own middle ground somewhere. I use my Django for exclusively off-road. So the mods are off-road spec.

@@lordchadwickedwardsiii4093 If you ask for advice, At tripaccino, I'm not a fanboy of any one particular car, even my own Gurkha, so I would only give you honest advice based on technical and rational decision. THe Gurkha is a great spacious practical rugged offroad truck. Its not the best in terms of mileage, or road manners because of height and shape. Its a 4 seater with decent luggage space. IF youre choice is just between the Thar, Gurkha and the Jimny, I would suggest Gurkha. If its general between all cars in he market sub 20 lacs, then for your particular application, there are definitely better cars out there which are better everyday cars than the Gurkha. What was the second closest car you have shortlisted?
