I imagine part of the reason for the small drops in prices are because there for a year or two there were probably tons of people attempting to get full sets (both TH-camrs and regular collectors), and now a lot of those folks have achieved that, so sales of Wii U stuff have slowed somewhat. Just a thought…might not have anything to do with it.
For sure demand probably has dropped! 🍻
WiiU and a Pro Controller is the sleeper console of the century!
Yesir! Great pro controller. One of the best and the battery life is killer
@@GamingOffTheGrid I like the Wii U Pro Controller more than the Switch Pro Controller because it has a much better D-pad.
The Wii U was very under appreciated. The eshop alone was way better than the one on the Switch.
We been saying it for years and people think we are crazy! We love the Switch but the Wii U is better in our opinions! 🍻
@@GamingOffTheGridI said the same thing. The 3ds and Wii u had so much personality, and the switch...white or back background.
What’re some differences? I sadly never got a Wii U
I still play my WiiU all the time. Love the backwards compatibility too. So many great on rail shooters for the Wii that will really help this console hold up well over time.
I missed out on the wii and Wii U and their eshops. I simply can’t believe the switch shop offers so much less. Why?!
It was you guys that cemented my decision to pick up a Wii U! I grabbed the black model 32GB in April 2021 for $150 in great shape, along with an SNES mini brand new for the same price. I’ve only got a handful of games for it, but I still really enjoy it and I’m glad I took the recommendation! Cheers!
Awesome! Glad you are getting to enjoy the Wii U! 🍻
you need to take into account the prices spiked because of the pandemic people stuck at home gaming. hence the prices settling now. its going to be a few years before we see any major price jumps IMO
Very good possibility for sure! Time will tell! 🍻
I think a price jump for the Wii U will happen but I don't think we're quite there yet. The Gamecube wasn't a great performer but once the little kids who owned one grew old enough to have a steady job and be nostalgic about it things started to go crazy. Give it a few years.
For sure! If we had to throw a guess out there it will be 5-10 years! 🍻
Lol The 3ds, and the OG wii is considered nostalgia now. Just wait until 2025-26 and the wii u is gonna become some worshipped peice of nostalgia like the Gamecube and in 2035 will be the switch.
we dont know what the next nintendo console is yet, someone tell me in the future
Did any kid own a wii u ?? i mean i can understand gamecube but wii u ????
It is what it is. Check back 5 to 10 years from now and then you'll know. The craze could die altogether and everything we've been collecting could go back into the bargain bin so to speak. Only time will tell really.
Spot on! Its all speculation right now! 🍻
5:42 I was wondering the same. When I see the numbers of games ported over to the switch I don't know what's left there except maybe 1 or two games. For myself I'm thinking of only collecting games that used the gamepad because it's what makes the experience unique. 🤷
To our knowledge theres 8-10! Some wont for sure because they need the Wii U tablet to work! 🍻
I found Deus EX Directors Cut on Wii U complete for $4 at a thrift store the other day. Was that a good pickup? Wii U is a gem!
Hell ya it is! Great game and it uses the tablet really well. I prefer the Wii U version over the other console variants hands down. Love that game
Congrats on getting a sponsor :) Love the content and always appreciate a Wii U market update video. Take it easy fellas.
Thanks man! tasty 🧀 ! 🍻
Dudes...thanks for this insightful video...
I just checked up on my local (Dutch) online marketplace and apart from some games, WiiU titles actually seem afforable at the moment...perfect moment to obtain games I actually wish to play still
Hoi Marcel, what I find so fascinating is the big difference in prices between US and Europe. For example, I bought Devils Third for €9. In the US it's now over $350. But yes, lots of kids have moved on to the Switch, and their moms are now selling the Wii U on Marketplace. So it IS like stealing candy from a kid! 😄
Exactly! Enjoy man! 🍻
That's why I recently bought Wii U breath of the wild 🙏🏽
Such a great game! You will enjoy! 🍻
Great video. I appreciate the reminder on what to look for at garage sales and thrift shops.
Glad to help out! Good luck in your hunt! 🍻
Glad I got most of my Wii U stuff a few years ago before (most of) the insane price hikes! P.S. was not expecting to see an ad in the video but so glad you guys are able to seize those opportunities, cheers! 🍻 💵
Glad you snag those games up! You wont regret it! 🍻
I’m not surprised that the prices have dropped. I’ve noticed recently on the marketplace in my area gaming in general the prices have dropped. I suppose due to the high costs of living right now and coz of the high interests here in Australia right now so people aren’t spending as much like they were during covid wen gaming went stupid
That is probably a factor for sure! Markets also go in cycles so that could be it also! 🍻
While I think much of the Wii U library will remain collectible, it won't get to the heights of the Saturn or Dreamcast because there aren't enough physical games on the Wii U for the highly collectible genres like shmups, JRPGs, and fighting games. It also doesn't have the quirky, non-AAA, third-party games those systems had.
Yeah we dont see it passing those two but we really do think it will surpass the Gamecube! 🍻
When Nintendo's next system comes out after the switch, then prices should spike up and up for Wii U
Very good possibility! 🍻
The Wii U is actually one of the greatest home consoles ever made. It can play Wii U, Wii, and Gamecube games natively. On top of that, it can play the entirety of Nintendo's retro library as well as Atari, Genesis, NEO GEO, Saturn, Sega CD, PS1 and this list goes on. Incredible console, one of the best game purchases I've ever made, Buy one now folks because there aren't many out there!
We agree! Such a great underrated console! 🍻
I think that the covid checks they sent everyone artificially inflated all game prices, and we are starting to see the readjustment. I also see a lot of people who got caught up in the trend cashing out soon. Hopefully, collecting gets a little easier.
That would be awesome! So many amazing games out there! 🍻
Xenoblades' price dropping is strange to me. I got it at around 35 a while back, and then it peaked for a while around 100. Now it's back down to 63.26 and is locked to the console as of right now. I'm curious if how easy modding the console is will affect the price of games going forward.
those physical games on the switch xenoblade games will increase a lot. 2 was at $100+ before back in 2021 thanks to smash.
Yeah that will be a huge factor! There will always be alot of physical collectors out there! 🍻
I said it before, I'll say it again. It's going to come down to the demand of the Wii U. Most of the Wii U library is on other consoles, especially Nintendo games. Yes, there's Devil's Third which they published, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zelda, and Game and Wario, but beyond that, what's the incentive to go and buy a Wii U? I have one, and it's barely used. The only reason why I still have it is because of my digital library. I have Metroid Prime Trilogy on there, which is like $100 for the disc. I already had the first and third game, but it was cheaper for me to buy the trilogy on the Wii U than to get just the second game. Plus, I'm not a big fan of Metroid Prime, but I love 2D Metroid. I also got Devil's Third and Game and Wario before the eshop closed down. Devil's Third was decent, but Game and Wario is something I could have lived without. The only other Wii U game I would want is Twilight Princess, but with my luck, the moment I buy it is the moment they announce it for the Switch or for Nintendo's next system. I have the Wii version, which plays on the Wii U, which still baffers me. Anyway, bottom line is that the Wii U's popularity, or lack there of, is going to determine its fate going forward.
For sure demand will be important! We think Nintendos name will help create that demand! We could be wrong! 🍻
You said 69 so many times and not a single cut in of Bill and Ted saying "69 dudes!" This is a classy channel after all.
😂
Ahhh having my coffee ☕️ watching this marvelous video I always wait 1 year to check on the prices with you guys lol cheers, I’m just looking at my shelf of Wii U games as you guys speak.
I think you guys missed on breath of the wild on the WII U that has the miss print.
Yeah theres tons of games we missed so we continue to do the games we did the first yearly update! 🍻
Here in the UK, it's different, as PAL devils third isn't particularly expensive. Around £30-35. The most expensive games that I can find are Mario V Donkey Kong Tipping Stars (around £150) and Walking Dead (around £100). First party is mostly around £10 or less - affordable!
Thats so awesome! Definitely sounds like its easier to collect there! 🍻
I've bought the Big game hunter games twice because of you fellas! You two are the whole reason I have a wii u and a decent collection to go along with it!
Nice man! Good to see you got good use out of it! 🍻
I think that once the full set collectors get what they want, demand for the WiiU will drop and accordingly, so will prices. There will be very little nostalgia for the average/casual collector/gamer sufficient to support higher prices in the long run. Generally, if you’ve got the Switch (and most people do) there’s no reason to own the WiiU.
Definitely could be right! We just have this feeling it will pop because its a Nintendo console! Could be wrong! Time will tell! 🍻
GAMING OFF THE GRID . Thanks for the valuable information about the price of stuff. I enjoyed the video very much
Glad you enjoyed it! 🍻
I think a lot of the collecting community might be focusing on the 3ds right now but I do think the Wii U is a long term play in terms of value. Even the North American virtual boy stuff is expensive.
The only thing I can think of that might affect the Wii Us collectibility is the game pad. People may not want to go through the hassle of finding one in good condition. Another could be the many switch ports we got taking away a lot of exclusives even though the game pad may make them better experiences
All great points! Might just take some more years for the prices to go up also! Time will tell! 🍻
I think Wii U will go up eventually. Asynchronous gameplay I feel is done and it will be left behind. It’s the only way to play DS games officially on a TV, but no one is going to invest in the complexity that it requires to replicate it. We’re just in a precarious economic situation currently.
Yeah thats probably a huge factor in why its like that for sure! Might take a few years! 🍻
Id be interested in a similar video but for the special releases. My 6 year old son loves some of the games as they are very approachable for him
Interesting idea! We will have to think about it! 🍻
Some of my local retro game store has that paper Mario for the Wii u for 80 dollars .had a devil's 3rd disc only for 169.
3rd disc only! Yikes! 🍻
Some of these listed in the video in glad I found on sale in the eShop before it closed.
Yeah glad you did that also! They will just keep rising! 🍻
My wife and I love the Wii U, but we don’t want a full set. All we want are the certain games we want to play. I would like it if the prices dropped so that it would be cheaper to get the ones we want. Unfortunately there are some in your list that have gone up that we don’t have so it’s going to be interesting on us obtaining some of these games.
Understandable! Get what you want to play and you will be doing great! 🍻
@@GamingOffTheGrid I do want to add that I appreciate replying to comments. It makes your channel so much better than others I have subscribed to. It shows what level of dedication you guys have that is above most of what is on this platform. Maybe one day I’ll shake hands and say “hi” to y’all.
Im super glad the for the most part Wii U prices are leveling out and not spiking as much since im one of the veeery late adopters of the Wii U (finally got it last year for the first time) and have been slowly getting the games i want for good deals. A shame i probably will never be able to get Game and Wario tho. The price of Devil's Third is so insane lol
As for my predictions I think for the most part it will level out after a general increase after a couple more years
Yeah some of the prices are crazy! We think there will be more of a rise overall! Nintendo consoles all go thru it! 🍻
Born in ‘97 been gaming since GameCube days but just got a switch last year. Started buying physical games for it instead of digital cause of the channel. Keep up the work fellas 🍻
Awesome man! Gamecube is a great console to start with! 🍻
Keep buying them, they are only going to go up in value in 10 years.
I feel the price fluctuating may be related to the pandemic (my theory is many started collecting while in lockdown and have HD games while also having backwards compatibility with Wii games like Wii Sports and then sold them while at their peak when not staying home as much). Would guess the prices would rise steadily but apart from Nintendo exclusives not to the same level as the GameCube (the backwards compatibility on most Wiis meant there is more demand than supply as opposed to the Wii U- if you don't have the console you cannot play the Wii U version)
For sure! We think because it has nintendos name the demand will go up! Nintendo collectors are crazy! 🍻
You guys aren’t wrong. I believe that way you will be a very sought after and collectible system as well. Unfortunately, the economy right now sucks and that’s what I believe is keeping things down at the moment. I am curious to see where the prices will be in the next year or two. Great video guys!
Yeah it may take some time but we think it will balloon! 🍻
DuckTales: Remastered is still available digitally for Steam and Xbox. I bought Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games at the end of last year from my local shop for about $20. I got really luck because the owner is not up to date with many video games prices.
Nice snag! Yeah thats two other ways to get DuckTales! 🍻
@@GamingOffTheGrid I bought it to play by the way, not to collect dust. I agree that's a fun game!
I bought xenoblade chronicles x and pokken tournement a couple years ago at gamestop for $10 a piece!
Awesome! Always good to snag the games before they jump up in price! 🍻
I only have a few of these titles. Most of the ones I thought would go up in value, didn't. Glad I spent money on Vita games a few years ago rather than Wii U.
Was smart to snag vita! We think Wii U prices will jump alot also! 🍻
I been trying to find Mario and Sonic Olympics Rio and Turbo in the wild since the Wii u came out.Ive see. All the others and see this going up in price once the weather gets colder. People be going on vacations, concerts, outdoor activities but watch in Nov or when the next Nintendo console is announced 👌🏽🙆🏽♀️😂
For sure! The volatility in the market goes thru flows! We see it happening in a 5-10 years for sure! 🍻
With the Saturn dream cast and GameCube being 20 years old or older I say give the Wii U library another 10 years and we could see game cube prices for the Wii U
For sure! We think it will get crazier than the Gamecube! 🍻
Wii U is Nintendo's Dreamcast or Saturn. No one cared in its heyday and complain about game prices later.
💯! That day will come and alot of people will be so mad! 🍻
This was interesting. Honestly, I am pretty good with my WiiU collection as is. I did have Tekken, Avengers, Super Luigi U, Cabela Hunt, both Batman games... Um, 007? None were super great for me, but relationships break apart and well, you lose stuff. I bought Rapala's twice, because i came across another copy. And it's pretty good, actually. Fishing Resort on Wii is more interesting, but i recommend both.
I'm kinda okay with with prices going down somewhat. I do want to restock my collection. Luckily, the eShop gave me a good option to rebuy some games, or stuff i couldn't find. Id rather have them on my shelf, but.. you make do. I believe i got Wii Party U and Wario for free due to club Nintendo. That was sweet. If I have a game digitally it's almost as good. I have DuckTales, Remix1-2, Tank, and Axiom Verge, etc. Digitally. And that works. You are exactly right about finding games in a stack, and you only want one, but the seller doesn't know or value what they have. So maybe you buy three to get the one you actually want. So get out there folks. I think the covid artificially pushed up prices. Now they are coming down a bit, so probably now is the time to bite.
Now is a great time to hunt! Good luck building up your collection! 🍻
We are still really early in the lifecycle of Wii U. I think it is actually out performing (due to the pandemic) so we still need to wait until the nostalgia factor of 10 year old who had it as a kid to become 25+ with disposable income before it really takes off. Great vid as always.
This is probably very true! We think maybe 5-10 years! Thanks! 🍻
During the pandemic GameCube prices soared to record highs. At the time I kept saying the WiiU would also soar in price ! It did sell less consoles and games than the GameCube. So get the games you want while prices are reasonable for the most part..btw, I’ve bought nearly every game I want for GameCube years ago.
Very true! Prices definitely peaked during the lockdown! 🍻
I predict the working wii u itself will be more collectable then all the others.
As much as I don't like things being very expensive I kind of wish some of these games would go up. Because that means some people may want to buy some of those games and we you didn't do very well so that means people will be interested in their games and possibly the Wii U System down the road
Its going to go in up and down flows but overall we think it will rise! 🍻
Got a wii u in the pandemic on fb marketplace. Great underrated console
Super underrated console! 🍻
A Wii u and cheddies video doesn't get any better awesome Wii u update vid
You said it man! 🧀 🍻 🎮
007 Legends is going way up for Wii U, main reason is because Wii U is now the only version of the game that has the final mission since it was on the disc and not DLC.
Watch Dogs for Wii U has also gone up, it's still online and have a playerbase which is cool.
Yeah we noticed those two games! We own Watch Dogs and its such an underrated game! 🍻
Would like to try Turbo because it reminds me of the Tony Hawk or Rush games on the N64 with their stunt mode. Tank Tank Tank is the one that made me most excited. I didn’t realize this was a physical game. My wife, my daughter, and I love to go to the arcades and They have a bunch of these lined up for co-op more. We always play Tank Tank Tank.
Thats awesome! It would be an amazing family game! 🍻
It's really interesting, I think people are reconsidering Wii U collecting since the hardware is prone to failure, with all the NAND problems and bricking !
Let's see in few months or maybe a year !
Yeah that could definitely be it! 🍻
I barely ever see Wii U games in the wild. Speaking of wild, can't wait to come across the Rapala and Cabela's games! I probably said the same thing a year ago 😂
Yes man! Hope you find them out there brotha! 🍻
I think it will definitely have a collectability to it because of it being Nintendo , but I think it won’t go up too much more as too many people got ahead of it and speculated that it was going to rise. I am def not one of those TH-cam is ruining the hobby but I think it affects things like this.
Could be! We think the low install base 5-10 years from now theres a good chance the prices overall will go way up! Thats just our guess! Could be wrong! 🍻
Again another great info/update video i personally think the wii u games might just stay balanced until Nintendo announce there next console but im mainly more scared of if they will make the switch backwards compatible with the next system but as usual you guys keep up the good work and updating the community
Thats what alot of people are saying and that could for sure be the case! 🍻
Just playing Xenoblade Chronicles X!!!
Its an absolute hammer! 🍻
Another great wii u video fellas 👌. Love to hear what your guys top three wii u games are someday. Keep up the great work gotg
Thanks man! Might have something like down the pipe! 🍻
The fact it was an unloved system makes it more likely it will be collectible in the future but time will tell.
For sure! Collectors will go wild! 🍻
So we need to examine things biased on the normal trend. The normal trend is 15 years. Because kids 15 years ago have a lot of disposable income today. Thus they have the opportunity to buy that nostalgia and that increases demand and price. Covid and the retro fad have increased the demand and shortened the window to about 12 to 13 years at maximum and increased the time span to present day. All of these factors have created a 2ndary market that is very aware of changes and possible price spikes in the market value of games. It is not that you are wrong about your prediction per say, but that the market has evolved and is more prepared. Follow that with the reduced initial interest in the WiiU and you lean more towards a market timeline that looks more like the TG16. I think it will take longer to experience a major spike in the Wii U space than the GameCube. My math says you should be right with adjusting for factors, a normal system should spike 10 years after release in today's market. The Wii U is anything but normal. At the time I would guess a more significates spike in Wii U prices in 2027.
Very possible! We were thinking 5-10 but 2027 might be dead on! 🍻
Good thing I just bought all the wii u games I wanted physically.
But I'm a pal collector so prices and the fluctuations are different between NTSC and us.
For sure! Completely different! Glad you snagged the games you wanted! 🍻
I think you guys are right about the Wii U becoming expensive someday very much like the Dreamcast, Saturn, and Gamecube. You're just a bit off on the timing. Those systems were worthless for years and years and they weren't. Most of us didn't notice the change until it was too late, me included.
I think what we saw with the wii u price spike around time of the eshop closing is but a preview of the future. There was just so much excitement that has now evaporated and prices have suffered in response. This strikes me as just a cool off but it's going to take some time for those prices to recover.
Many thanks to Wes and Bob all for changing my opinion on the wii u in 2021 so i was around to make the most of eshop. What a treasure! I didn't miss out this time.
Glad we could help you get onto the Wii U! Such an amazing console! 🍻
question when are you going to do another mario kart live stream again? those were fun
Not sure yet!
Let’s go! I have a brand new Wii U console and brand new games that I hope will continue to rise for the long term! 🤞🏼
Good luck! Hope it works out for you! 🍻
@@GamingOffTheGrid thanks! 🤞🏼
I’m surprised “Rodea” is still so cheap considering it has 2 discs for 2 systems.
Yeah that one shocks us also! 🍻
I think it had a reprint or found loads of copies , I brought 10 sealed copies for £100s
Some people over time will become nostalgic for the Wii U, but consider how many were sold... compared to most Nintendo consoles, not that many. So I feel like nostalgia might not be the biggest factor in determining future value. There will be some for sure, but if the Wii U skyrockets in price in the future I feel like it'll be weird collectors driving things up.
For sure but Nintendo collectors can be crazy! 🍻
In addition to having all of the good 1st party games being ported, another knock against Wii U collecting is that the games come in a case that, while it looks great, is constructed incredibly cheaply, even worse than the 3DS game cases, and when it's incredibly hard to get a wii u game that doesn't have a fair amount of game case damage, that's going to temper the desire to collect for it. I only know one game that didn't come with those cases being carved out by Nintendo.
Yeah the cases arent the best! Some people like it some dont! We just happen to like it! 🍻
Holy shit my bois got an advertisement! Let's gooooooo
Thanks man! Our little channel is growing! 🍻
great video guys and it sucks how much money is the will u cost but thats the gaming world we live in
Yeah the price will continue to rise over time! 🍻
Better get thumb stick caps for that Wii U. Robert has Cheddie fingers.
😂 That gives the controller character! 🍻
In UK Wii u isn't up yet and inflation issues has caused prices to come down
Thats awesome! Good time to collect it then! 🍻
I know this is off topic, and appreciate if you guys get to read this comment. So yesterday at the PS event they announced a bunch of titles, but after it was announced by the studio behind Alan Wake 2 that they will only be releasing the game DIGITALLY. I was hoping maybe you guys could revisit this topic again. It seems changes are coming even faster than expected! 😱
We seen that. Might have to touch on it in a video
The Wii U and Ps Vita are both going to be similar in terms of value
Yes they will! Glad we got what we want for the video already! 🍻
I have a good 40 + Wii U games. Games are very desirable right now I know two people in my city who have the complete set. I feel like the Wii u's going to plateau eventually I don't see prices getting crazy like Sega Saturn except for some low print run games. Games are desirable and collectors get behind them prices shoot up than prices go down.Cheers
It may not get to saturn level but with Nintendos name it will definitely climb alot down the road! 🍻
The Wii U spiked when the announcement of the closing happened a year ago. Everyone panicked spiked prices and all the collectors got all they want so there is no longer a demand like there was. Over the long haul it has the recipe to be expensive, but with everyone having fair warning of the closure it set a new variable into the mix of all the collectors knowing the end to give them time to get what they wanted. It's the opposite of Saturn or Turbografx 16. Nobody knew of them really at the time and they where rarer then 15-20 years later everyone realized what they where and how great they where building a demand with low supply as opposed to Wii U with all the internet hype of "OH my God, this is gonna be so expensive" everyone ran out and grabbed it all which is why a year ago Devils Third actually had a 10 day period of being $650-$700 on Price Charting. The problem for everyone who strictly invested in Wii U thinking it was gonna be a huge over night payday is all the collectors who pay the big bucks already have everything. Basic terms, NO DEMND, currently.
I own a small video games store and aside from. My personal Wii U complete library have a few of the $75 plus games in my shop for the past few months in very good to near mint, some even still sealed that I have priced $15 to $20 under Price Charting value and I can't sell em. The people who would buy em already have em and the others just don't want em. All depends on your view the info/internet age fixed or killed the market. I make my living off of reselling games but I'm happy to see games become more affordable to the common man but I got a few customers who complain about it cause they buy everything based on what value they think it will have. They are games not retirement funds or get rich over night schemes.
never bought the Wii U - only Nintendo console I never bought. My thought is any game worth playing for that system is getting a re-release on the switch.
There is some great games that will never get ported but we understand what your saying! 🍻
The price of the physical NTSC version of Wii Sports Club is gonna shoot up in the future. Another game I wouldn't sleep on for the future would be Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker due to the exclusive Super Mario 3D World-based levels on the Wii U version.
P.S. DuckTales 2 > DuckTales
We agree! Those games are hammers! Havent played the 2nd one definitely need to! 🍻
I barely find wii u games out in the wild as it is after going to the thrift regularly. The system just wasnt that popular when it was out, the saturn of the nintendo era. amazing the prices havent shot up already but I guess the larger named youtubes need to post some videos yet to push the prices up. Maybe if WATA did something as well it'd help uptrend the market.
We think it will just take a little time! But it will come! Low install base consoles eventually pop and with Nintendo name will make it crazy! 🍻
@@GamingOffTheGrid virtual boy cough cough, and i loved the virtual boy back then
Yes thats a great example!
Glad I completed the NA library a couple years ago when it was still cheap!
Thats so awesome! Having all those Wii U games! 🍻
@@GamingOffTheGrid and I appreciate you fellas keeping the good name of Wii U alive with your excellent videos!
I see the Wii U landing somewhere between GameCube and SNES as far as pricing goes. The heavy hitters will stay, and to be honest, I'm thinking of selling some of my collection. Just keeping the ones I will play.
Wii U was my favorite system to collect for and play. Was the only system I tried to complete, I am kind of complete for US, but I do have a few disc only and I'm not going for every variant.
To be 100%, I have some games that won't play on multiple systems. Discs look perfect, but game doesn't work. Some are shovel ware type games, some are first party, and some and 3rd party titles. I heard "disc rot" is a major problem, and as I collector of Wii U, I have seen it and I am concerned.
Yeah disc rot is going to be a thing in the future unfortunately! 🍻
Wii u games will have insane prices. But you have to wait ten years or so... Youre just to early with your prediction
We could very well be wrong! Isnt the first time! Wont be the last! We are just guessing! 🍻
Had no idea some of these games had dropped in price so much in a year. But didn't this happen with the Sega Saturn and then it and games went crazy. Not sure it will happen on that level with the Wii U but still wouldn't surprise me. Cheers boys 🍻
Didnt collect like i do now during that period so not sure about that! We do see it going up in the future for sure! 🍻
Values are dropping on all consoles. Not sure if it's summer or lack of money for people. I was pumped I just got gunblade/la machine gun for wii for 80. First time I've seen it under 100 in a couple of years
Nice man! Thats a great game! Enjoy! 🍻
Turns out prices actually fell. Devils Third is down to 50, at least here in european ebay, was 150+ before. Tank Tank Tank is down to 90, Game & Wario I found for 25 (lol). Lots of lucky finds.
The wi u is a lot like the n64 i do think over time people will buy games for the system. The one thing that will go up a lot in value will be the console itself sense there isn’t a lot of those around. Keep up the great work you guys are awesome
Yeah we see the console exploding in price especially the tablets! 🍻
Zelda: Wind Waker was 25 bucks in April 2021, and now its hovering around 55. I believe both Zelda's will reach 120+ as Nintendo has too many projects to port this over.
Whaaaaaaaattttt their e shop closed ONLY RECENTLY !?!?!? I Thought it had shut down AGES ago @_@ !!! Goddammit I could have gotten the wii u sooner like 6 months ago had I known it was still up T_T
Dang sorry but yeah back in march! 🍻
@@GamingOffTheGrid :( daaaaangggg I was literally thinkin of gettin a used wii u back in march, but decided to "take it slow" cuz I thought all services were gone already @_@
everything good has been ported, I only hold onto my copy of Windwaker.
We think theres quite a few good games that havent and even some of the ones that have play better on the Wii U! 🍻
The WiiU is going to be a slow burn. Give it 5-10 years & I think you will see these games going for Saturn/GameCube prices.
We see it also! Low install base and Nintendos name! It will be a pricey boy! 🍻
Still not sure why Wii sports club is $69. You can easily get the Wii disc of the original for $20 and play on a Wii U.
Yeah that is a head scratcher for sure! 🍻
Imho i think it will still take another decade before Wii U games are getting a lot more rare and valuable..
Kinda what we are thinking! somewhere in the 5-10 year range! 🍻
Been watching this channel long enough to say the only way it could get classier is if they started drinking and reviewing islay scotches
Scotch would be a nice change of pace! 🍻
I truly think it's going to take time. It's been thru a boom because it's still shock from the store closing. People feel like they are going to miss out. In 5-10 years it will be hot and probably expensive to collect for. Just need more time in the oven. Heck even vita had that spike and now it's coming down. That's another one that will have it's time were it's going to be crazy pricey.
We fully agree and think the same way! 🍻
What do you think about 3ds since its from a similar era
Its going to pop also! 🍻
if you stream funky barn i will watch that "That's good shit, pa!l"
😂! We might have to sometime! 🍻
I think eventually the prices will soar. Not sure when, but eventually. Let's not forget, whilst gamecube games have been high for a while, it wasn't until covid struck where they really soared. It could be a repeat of that and might not be for a good few years yet 🤷
Yeah we see it happening! We think they will soar more than the GameCube! More like the Saturn did! 🍻
Where do these prices come from? $24.17? What in a game causes the price to add 17 cents or 49 cents onto the price? Why can't the game just be $25? Why the extra 70 cents? 😂

@Gaming Off The Grid ah ok. I was like, who the heck sells it for that price? I'm sure it taxes come into play when buying from a retailer. Cuz if someone is listing it at that wierd price other than $25 or $25.99 I'm like, really dude? What's with the 17 cents? lol.
@TMNT_Zombie Ah I see
I predict that one day WiiU game prices will surpass the GameCube as the highest for Nintendo games and hardware !
Completely agree! Lower install base than the Gamecube! 🍻
I love how people try to explain the reason why Wii U is going up or down. I find it humorous. I resell them mostly. They are some fun overall. The only one I kept was Mario Kart 8. No need for switch for me. I believe switch will eventually kill the need for a Wii U over time. It will just become a collector's system eventually. Cheers :)
For sure it will be a heavy collectors item! 🍻
I feel like the Switch Lite will become terribly flippable. They still make those, but there’s this dirty feeling I get that always tries to get me to part with mine for a Switch OLED. I simply won’t _do that._ I’ve been down this road before. Switch lites seem abundant, but you won’t find accessories or variants of them these days. That’s a red flag if I ever saw one.
And it’s been a long while too.
Great Stuff, as always.
Yeah they definitely are! But Switch is becoming hot already which kinda shocks us! 🍻
@@GamingOffTheGrid Well, if I means anything coming out of no where from me, _don’t_ flip your Switch lites. At least the ones you want to keep and games I would invest in are: Arms, Pokken Tournament DX, Hyrule Warriors Definative Edition, and the incredibly expensive Samurai Shodown (the 2.5D US version). There are others but people slept on the these high profile games that are now out of print. The first three especially. And game flipping is built on FOMO.
Also the Palkia and Dialgia Switch lite is black and matches the black joycon along side most grips and cases. It’s already $60 more than it should be on Amazon!
Happy hunting!
Hold on to your Switch lites!
