It seems like Sparky figured it out by the end of the Lich fight, but for anybody else that's curious, Spell Reflection doesn't make the spell "bounce" off of your shield or longsword exactly, rather it fires the spell back to where you're aiming when the spell connects. Aka, you have to aim with your crosshair in order for the spell to go back correctly. That's why the first couple of times, when Sparky reflected the Lich's orb, it went off into the ground: because he uses his camera to position his longsword blade for the parry, that has the unintended consequence of making the reflected spell miss. In general, it's better to think of it less ass reflected the spell, but rather as re-casting that spell yourself. tl;dr, aim spells back with your crosshair while using Spell Reflect
Now is it too good if instead of a skill it was instead a perk they could use in place of defense mastery or something and just increase the cooldown on it? Cuz it would be a dope perk to run along side actual fighter sprint and second wind which would be cool
That’s what i said on his stream, it’s too niche to be a good skill but as a perk it would be solid to give fighters another skill option against spell casters
1:30 its bs but you are slightly off the center line of the fireball to the left when you go frame by frame you can see it flying in at an angle on the sword like a freaking mm off.
Yeah I noticed that too, I think it's an oversight from the devs: They never expected people to parry it, so the hitbox of the actual fireball is super tiny, and the size of the graphical effect makes it seem much bigger. I've ran into this before with skelly wizard fireballs reaching through tiny cracks in walls & cells and stuff, just generally fitting through map geometry that it really has no business fitting through.
Reflecting a warlock curse with long sword is crazy work how did he do that with it not being a projectile but the fireball didn’t work very weird Interactions
@ barbs are better in melee than fighters and so are bards and by a long shot too unless fighter runs pure bis in which case yea hes favored against a 2k kit barb but he could still easily die and still gets spanked by any 500gold kit warlock
@@paxconsciente3352 I often run 2-3k kits (which is BIS) on fighters and can walk through the average barb player with only a little finesse, on my 5-6k kit in 224 it is even easier. I don't know if this says more about me or not though as I also walk through the average fighter. A 500g warlock should get smoked by any decent fighter, usually all that happens is they turn tail and run away, come back 2 minutes later before running away again, 50% of the time I just kill them with my longbow. I usually build armor pen, hybrid 45% pdr with 30% mdr, max health, some bonus damage and move speed. Technically I have the highest PDR in any given engagement due to my armor pen.
2:44 this entire fight looks goofy. LS is the most hilarious weapon ever introduced. Keep it up Kawa

does that mean it also uses the fighters magical damage bonus instead of the original casters?
@1brianyaffa That I couldn't tell you lmao

😭
Sadly the hitbox of the fireball is the very center of it, not the entirety of the giant firey orb.

Short answer: Ye. Long answer: hYEEEEEEEEEEEES.
W0w you are in a good mood this video, nice
cant you try to get like 5 orbs behind you running trough the dungeon finding ppl and sending those orbs on them with reflect
The orbs expire naturally after a time

No fun allowed, sorry
spell reflect works on longsword, of course it would. lol
Ls doest work its troll to use it :(
They need to buff fighter vs casters if they can't make spell reflection actually work
hell no casters are a counter to fighter and thats a good thing
Fighters can also build to counter casters, its just that they can no longer kill Barbarians and Rogues which means it just isn't worth it.

@@paxconsciente3352 I don't think I have ever lost to a bard. I daresay my experience is not close to your own.
Try it on Banshee
