For the C-Walk, i read dancers saying that in hip hop is often used and is not a mocking by any means, especially knowing how much care Chan puts in every detail i think he documented thoroughly before putting it in the choreo
atp i’ve seen mostly positive reactions to the dance and song, since it was made in a ”tasteful manner” and by not mocking anything. i think they mentioned in the intro that this song and the 2. track bounce back are truly just an ode to 90’s hiphop :)
