A great comment and for a minute there I wondered if you’d ever visited his dry goods store 👍👍. Unfogiven over Josie Wales? really? Now there’s a video. Cheers Mark. Keep em fly in’ ya hear 👍
Steve , I just knew you were Clint’s stuntman!🐎 The scenes involving the trains were shot in and around Jamestown, Ca. I’ve actually worked on the locomotive used in the movie. It was also the locomotive used in Back to the Future 3. It can be seen at Railtown 1897, in Jamestown. The train depot was given to a rancher, Joe Hurst ( Hurst Ranch, feed store, and Hurst Winery)by Clint Eastwood . It still sits right next to the highway as you drive into town. Cheers my friend!👍🍻
Oh wow. What fabulous anecdotal information to add. Just brilliant. I always think it’s a shame comments like these can’t get into the video. Much appreciated and down right jealous too. 👍👍👍👍😂 thanks Lance
@@CodyandSteveDownUnder I got to ride in the cab of that locomotive It’s a Rodgers 4-6-0, built in 1892. The engineer at the time was a friend and offered his seat and the throttle. I declined as we were carrying passengers and I didn’t think it was a good idea. It will do 50-55 mph. At 20 mph it feels like it’s flying. Clint Eastwood has donated to Railtown 1897 through the years and contributed to that locomotive’s restoration about 15 years ago when it needed a new boiler. The whole restoration cost $1.5M. It’s currently in pieces once again getting new boiler tubes. Old number 3 , it’s stable mate number 28, and Railtown 1897 have been in over 200 movies and TV shows, from High Noon to Little House on the Prairie, to Bonanza.🚂🚂
@@calsurflance5598oh wow. Sorry I missed this. Brilliant info. Topic would make for great video. There must have already been 📺 doco on this. Just fascinating. Cheers Lance
Yes mate. I sort of broke my own rule. Cody’s been taught how to behave and there I go doing the wrong thing. I doubt he understands the concept of just demonstrating a bad thing. Cheers my friend, comment appreciated 👍🐴
@@steelhelmetstan7305 thanks Stan. Appreciate that. Looks like November has been a chilly one. Keep track of my rellies in London. Bit chilly. Keep warm old mate. Cheers.
@@CodyandSteveDownUnder yes Steve m8, bit cold at the crack of dawn when I cycle 6 miles to work.....sounds like a Monty Python sketch...'6 miles, 6 miles?, I used to walk that far just to go to the outside lavatory....in a snowstorm!'🤣🤣🤣
That is so funny. Back in the day before video killed the radio star there was a band called Cunning Stunts. When every the DJ announced one of their songs I always thought that if it was me saying it I would concentrate so hard on the right words I would be bound to say the other. Hilarious. 😂😂😂😂😂. Cheers cobber
I havent watched " Unforgiven" as its not free on TH-cam. Pulling the left rein hard to the left is also a very common stunt when the horse is galloping ahead and gets shot ( pretend ) , the horses head is yanked left causeing the horse to lose balance and crash into the ground.
Cheers John. Always good to hear from you. Yes I must admit I cringe when I see movie horses falling to the ground. So often we really don’t treat them very well. Cheers mate
Cody is so amazing ❤
