Hi Curtis, I have many happy memories of delightful holidays and weekends spent at Cape Vidal going back at least 53 years. My parents used to deep sea fish. We have since been back with our family twice and stayed in the log cabins. We were shocked at the state they were in, bat infested, not maintained, sewerage smell in the area, smelly cabins, cockroach infested, torn couches, filthy or no water at all. We have also been back to camp during 2010, the ablutions then were acceptable. Sadly, I have seen many reviews of campers expressing the shocking state of the ablutions, broken windows, tiles, no water and no maintenance. It would seem as though you however enjoyed a positive experience with your children recently. We now reside in Gauteng, would love to return, depending on the overall state of the ablutions and general maintenance pertaining to the campsites. it would be wonderful if the ablution blocks have been upgraded.
Thanks so much for your message! Yes, it certainly goes through phases and can be a hit and miss, but overall, recent visitors have been happy. I feel one should go there these days expecting things not to be in top shape, with some issues, and be happily surprised, than expecting perfection.... It's still such a fabulous destination! I hope you get to go back! Thanks for supporting us!
Epic video! I have being going to St Lucia for many years, but this year will be my first year staying down at Cape Vidal. I see campsite 19 looks pretty epic. We will be 2 vehicles, one with a roof top tent and one with just a normal 6 man tent. Are there any other sites you can recommend? By the looks of the map 18, 19, 29 all look nice and secluded.
Great video and perfect information! And your pictures are just perfect. My wife and I are travelling from Switzerland to South Africa at the beginning of September. Cape Vidal is planned, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to get there with our vehicle without any problems. We have a Toyota Landcruiser HZJ79 with a cabin. The Landcruiser is 3 metres high. Is this a problem? Many thanks for your tips!
Great video and review of Vidal, those kids really enjoyed that boat trip by the sound of the screams.
Thanks a mil! 🙌 Yip, no shortage of excitement and laughter....
Well done on the video
@FlipNel100 Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
A great video, well edited and really made us homesick for KZN 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow your video is stunning! Love the way you spend quality time with your kids. Pls show your camping setup with your Afrispoor.
Thanks Lizel, really appreciate it! It's on the cards to show the setup, I'm presuming you also have one....

Previously had one years ago, the steps was a problem for me. But I loved our kitchen setup.
They are fabulous tough trailers! Know many people that have them, well made!
Your channel is so underrated brother. All the best, rooting for you.
Thanks for your great message and support! We really appreciate it!

Thanks a mil for the msg! Yes, those sites don't get as much 'driveby' traffic and you will be good 👌 Enjoy your trip!
See you soon

Hi, there will be no problem with your LC accessing Cape Vidal. Occasionally large tourist buses take visitors to the beach with no issues.
@@Fergus_Afrique Thank you for your answer
Thanks @Fergus!
Hows the water at Vidal?
Hi John 👋 in context of what? Fishing, diving, surfing, clarity ??????
@@SafariFamilyAfrica the water quality in the camp site? Drinkable?
🤣 aha.... water was at least there, with some pressure and pretty clean, but don't think I'd ever drink the tap water there....
Hi this is zoe hannah hi
