for anyone reading this, this video is correct and serves as a good guide for defence types. Atomic is also a pretty good driver for defence types, so if you don't have something better I'd recommend that. Over is probably the best disc, it's actually the heaviest disc available atm (im mostly sure it is, at least). it's good to experiment with different parts and launchers to see what works best for you, what you're most comfortable with and your desired outcome
atm, my combo is Chain Kerbeus Over Atomic'-6 (Chain isn't the best blade but I use Chain Kerbeus due to a personal bias of mine. more on that later). I plan on getting Prominence (black to match the driver) cuz i love the gimmick of it and it's pretty good, and Bearing Drift due to it's high defence and good stamina (i like the idea of a stamina-defence hybrid)
i appreciate that you used Ken (my favorite character) in the thumbnail, even though he's irrelevant nowadays. it's honestly a shame the original defence type blader and his bey (in burst) has been mostly forgotten. he didn't even get to battle in Evolution/God, and the last he made an appearance was in Turbo/Cho-Z, and he was just on a photo and in some flashbacks
it's neat that at least Kerbeus gets some relevancy still, but sadly Hazard Kerbeus was owned by some weird homeless Red Eye wannabe in a weird tight suit who liked Kerbeus, Hasbro made some crappy Hypersphere Kerbeus, Takara Tomy didn't even make an official GT Kerbeus (although CrazyAries' Omen Kerbeus is pretty neat, wish I could get one), and Chain Kerbeus didn't even make an appearance in the anime. at least we got a DB Kerbeus at all tho ^^
i really loved Keru and Besu. so cute
i can get behind those personal bias Beyblade choices, my first burst bey was the blue spriggan requiem from one of the random boosters and every go to bey I've used since then has essentially just been an evolution of that so there's no shame in using "non meta" parts, its all about having fun with it. My current combo is astral spriggan giga zone'+z 0 (also a kinda defence stamina hybrid). It would be nice to get more kerbeus, fingers crossed for pro series I guess lol.
my brothers first bey was a Spriggan too lol. well, kinda. it was the Spryzen Heavy Defence from Hasbro. my first bey was Hasbro's Kerbeus Wing Fusion. since we first got our Beys we've stuck to those evolution lines. my brother's current bey is Spryzen S3 Around-P Bearing. he beats me most of the time unless I can hit him hard enough to get a ring-out or even a burst (i use a powerful launcher [WBBA Cyber Edition black] and my brother hand spins his bey so it's kinda easy to hit him hard, hitting him hard *enough* is difficult tho). the Spriggan line is so cool and is owned by one of the coolest characters. so many gimmicks into one bey and it works so well
back to Kerbeus just a sec, I really like how unique the Kerbeus DB Core is. it's the only round core and its one of the 2 cores to have rubber locks. very cool last evolution for the Kerbeus line

I do think as far as drivers go, you may wanna go more in the realm of Keep' for extra friction and staying power, but I do understand that I'm probably the only one who legitimately uses keep' in the standard meta lol, defense types are kinda rough these days.
I actually quite like keep’ i got mine with judgement pegasus from some random booster
I always preferred drift because of the better LAD but i can see how it would be pretty good in an opposite spin match
@@Milgo honestly, the main problem with keep is that its not good in opposite spin, hence why like nobody uses it. I'm kinda old school in standard, just cuz I specialize in the WBO burst classic format, and that's almost exclusively same spin, so I'm just a lot better when playing that way. Drift is definitely the best choice if you're looking for a better matchup spread and more versatility.

You can also use a dash driver if you have dragon or Valkyrie1
I think that the best defence tip might be atomic or quattro in defence mod
Atomic is a very very good defensive tip, just slightly outclassed nowadays by tips like drift with similar defence but a bit better stamina, cant speak for quattro though as i dont have it yet 😅

Its worth it solely for the drift driver honestly the best driver in the game except for bearing drift

Probably wind knight would be what your looking for its best at same spin but its not bad in opposite either.
A combo like Wind Knight Illegal high Xtend+’ should be exactly what you’re looking for but its maybe not quite as strong as something thats specialised into one niche and doesnt stray from it

Valkyrie one is great until, its teeth get wear down too much unless you're using the one from prominence valkyrie
The gold one is also good but it depends on what mould, could be wrong but i think the A3 one is the mould you want
I think the best defense driver is atomic
It certainly used to be the best and is still very high up there
Nowadays though its a bit outclassed by stuff like bearing drift and zone’+z
Though these parts probably wont matter once july rolls around and we get a new generation of beyblade

From this video, what would you recommend as the best db defense bey?
Because of the way beyblade is there is no “best” per say though drift would absolutely be the best driver for it
All the other parts you want something thats heavy and rounded
If you’re talking the best stock defence combos it would probably be roar bahamut but theyre quite hard to get a hold of

Armour only really matters for balance tuning. Just use the heaviest you have and try and make it line up to where you want weight concentrated
And yeah that is a a very solid combo
The only bet I have is Roar Baklesh, what launch should I use for it?
That all depends on your tip really
If you’re using a fairly standard defence type tip a flat launch would be the best, but if its a free spinning tip like drift or zone+z id say try launching it at an angle to keep it in the center
@@Milgo So you’re saying that for the flat driver I should use a flat launch, and for the stamina driver (apex) I should angle the launch
Actually if the driver is flat thats more an attack type tip so you’ll want to launch that at an angle
