I am suffering from Alopecia on my edges as well. When I listen to your story I said OMG this is me this is the same thing I had to deal with growing up as a child and in high school also right now in my adult life before you even started the tutorial I automatically subscribe to your channel because of your story alone touched me in so many ways and after watching the tutorial thank you so much for giving me the confidence to be able to wear hair styles that I thought my self cannot achieve because of my edges.
You are pretty with or without edges but what you have shown on your video I know a thousand million girls preciate that and I am so proud of you to even bring that out you have a blessed day girl you looking good
You are helping so many women talking about your alopecia. I’m 72 yo white woman & my hair started falling out due to stress. You put my situation in perspective. I cannot imagine how hard it has been for you since you were so young. You are an inspiration and keep sharing all your tips. You are a beautiful young woman, & I wish you great success in everything you do. ❤️☮️
I almost cried watching your video! I've never been able to wear certain styles because of my edges. Now, I'm confident enough to try a style because of you. Bless you 🙏🏽 ♥️ 🙌
I've been a beautician for over 30 years. You gave me a great solution that I've faced with people who have thin hair in those area. I am also thinking about getting a channel showing my ideas. Love it!
Girl you do what you need to do honey I think I have a little bit of alopecia at the top of my crown I'm thinking maybe from medications you know diabetes hypertension these things like that people don't recognize and if you got a way of finding a way of you know covering it up you cover it you know people wear wigs weave all this stuff it just just do what you need to do to make you feel good cuz that's the only one you have to deal with if you and God you know God gave you the idea so you go for what you know
Go watch miss Willa omg, have been watching her for years. She is soo innovative she even was doing this before there was lace frontal wigs so that the hair line would look the same colour as the wig, she is a bosss!!!
This technique is old someone name SAM I Am Have a video here in TH-cam doing it 6 years ago, but I have to say this one is the best so far look way more natural 👍🏽👍🏽🙌🏾🙌🏾
They already were/are when people were getting invisible parts. My BFF does hair and watched her do it. This is definitely a dope way to spin the method!
I know I’m not the target audience, as a white woman, but I wanted to say I appreciated this video to learn about what black women face and how they style their hair. You are really talented at this, and nobody would ever have known! Good for you for silencing the haters and continuing to help other women.

@@Ashley_emam just hope u never experience alopecia just because it’s a black woman in the video doesn’t mean that it affect only people that looks like her. The children w alopecia I have seen the most on shows like dr Phil have been white children. Maybe your just ignorant and need educating but no, hair loss can affect everyone look at all the top of head bald men of all races we see daily.
When ever God allows us to be a Blessing to others never hold back. You have made a difference in so many people lives by showing this technic, THANK YOU!!!
One of the downsides of being a Content Creator is that you expose yourself to other people's opinions. Keep your head up. Your content is QUALITY & your video went viral because the idea is GENIUS! Keep doing you! I'm here for it 💕🤗
Girl l feel you, pray every day for your edges. There is a testimony of this lady that had Alopecia the whole head, but she was prayed for and her hair grew back. Prayers are so powerful, have faith in God. I also had problems with my edges but l prayed for them and now they are growing back
Yes! I had a bald spot on my head and someone told me to give it to god and so I did. I prayed over it and I started using wild hair growth oil and it’s grown back.
I love that you showed women who are suffering from thinning edges, a way to fill them in, to be able to wear a style, confidently! You look beautiful!
I've never seen a woman more talented, motivated & compassionate about her hair before. Thank you for your story, may God bless you and don't give up and listen to the negativity. Even God himself until this day has people who hates him, keep on being awesome 👌 😊
Thank you Vanessa. Thin edges is hard as an adult woman. Your openness regarding this issue that is often made fun of is so helpful to us attempting to embrace our beauty. Sidenote: You my dear are GORGEOUS.
As a sufferer of alopecia, your technique was a game and life changer. You're inspirational and beautiful. Thank you for your story. Yes, you did that!
This really brought tears to my eyes. I suffer from the same thing since birth. I was teased and felt low about it, even to this day on that feeling. Socially, romantically, etc. but I’m so happy you made this video to let people like us know, we are NOT alone. I appreciate you and the world needs more of YOU!!
Vanessa I think you're great!!. I have been trying and trying to figure out a way to conceal my edges or lack thereof. YOU showed me it was possible and it changed my life. Please don't let these people make you feel bad. You're a beautiful young woman and I appreciate you. Don't stop your videos I need them.
Thank you for having the courage to put this out! It’s something millions of women struggle with, and you are helping aid in making others feel beautiful and confident!!! Love the hair and makeup!!! Keep going love ❤️
Don't mind those sounding brasses and tinkling cymbals...they are just empty barrels! This strategy is GENIUS! Keep doing you and don't worry about nonfactors. Bless!
A lot of people are ignorant to the fact that sometimes people have weak edges or no edges just naturally ,and it's not due to abuse or a wigs or braids. So I'm glad you shared. I don't have this problem but I know people that do and it can get worse as you get older. I do have times where spots and my temples go bald in a circular pattern due to hormones. I can nurture them back but it means no relaxers anymore. I think it's amazing that you shared this and you're just gonna get blessed for it. So thanks for having the courage to leave everything in place and move forward in power. Will's slap has had a positive side in educating on alopecia.
I have had traction alopecia since I was a child. I applaud you for allowing us in your space! I'm 50 and I'm still self conscious about it. However you, have inspired me to embrace me for who I am! For that I say thank you 👑 queen!
Ms. Monae, you did an AMAZING JOB, do you hear me?!?! This is by far the best video I've seen on creating edges. Please continue to help others and strengthen your confidence. People hate when someone is completely confident with themselves "flaws" and all. It's envy because they wish that they could do the same and they can't, so keep doing what you are doing!! God bless you!
Thank you for sharing this video! And we appreciate you & ignore the negativity! We go high when others go low! Keep your head high & You are amazingly beautiful lady & thank you for sharing! 💗💗❤️💗♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I love this I have Alopecia and I am so self-conscious I’m going to share this with my niece that does my hair she just did a front lace on me I hadn’t had edges in years and they finally she put on me made me have edges it change me so now when I’m not wearing a front lace I will have her do this God bless you
You are a genius!!! And you have taught me how to conceal my bald edges and how to restore my confidence as well!! There are so many of us out there who suffer from this problem and have been limited as to the styles we can wear. But you my dear have given us freedom to style and to rock the styles that everyone else is rockin!! Thank you again🥰
I just found out my hair loss on my edges is caused my Fibromyalgia. This video is AMAZING! At 54, I am so insecure about it, I wear scarves or wigs, but I want to wear my ponytail again!! This gives me hope! Thank you.
I have Alopecia to no edges n no hair on my temple area the back of my hair is long. I got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia when I was 37 years old I am 60 now. I take hair vitamins to n tired of wearing wigs to.
Oh ,my God I have Fibromyalgia I had no idea that it could contribute to hair thinning or loss. I blamed mine on years of relaxers, but now I am natural.
When I saw your video on TikTok I saw myself. Alopecia and baldness runs in my family so I know exactly how you felt growing up with no edges because I experienced the same trauma. And because of that trauma I would constantly wear head wraps, hats and scarfs. Not really into wigs and weaves but after watch this tutorial I will definitely be trying this. Thank you so much for sharing 🤗.
Hello Vanessa, I just want to let you know I’m so proud of you for being transparent and sharing your story. I don’t suffer from having alopecia but over the years I’ve had braids and waves in my hair and from the tension my edges have came out, more so on my right side than left. I just recently had a WIG installed and by me not taking it out properly, more of my edges came out. I’m a 51 year old mother & grandmother, but I still like to look youthful and classy. Vanessa, it was my daughter that found your video, so I thank her , but most of all thank you young lady for sharing your story. May God continue to give you the courage and confidence to move by faith. God got you!! 🙏🏾🌹❤
This delivery was delivered so heart felt an warming. Your not alone I can relate to you all the way. I'm 52 an I have full alipiesha it broke my heart I'm still not use to it. Thanks for your videos I appreciate them an you for sharing . ♥️♥️♥️♥️👀✌️🙏
I must admit that when I 1st saw your video on a hair page on IG I started to prejudge without knowing your story, honestly after seeing your video & hearing you speak about this I’ve further reminded myself that you should never judge someone without knowing their journey. You’re absolutely beautiful & I love that you’ve created something so innovative & makes you feel more confident. Thanks for educating me, much love from ATL♥️🙏🏽
TY TY TY! My daughter sent your video to me. I am a 58 year old woman that has been suffering with hair loss. I don’t know if it’s alopecia because I’ve yet to get diagnosed. I am so discouraged and depressed..not only do I not have edges my crown..the top of my head I have SEVERE hair loss..you can see the shape of my head because what hair is there is so THIN that I can’t even wear it back or over let alone to cover any “pieces” so I have elected to wear wigs. My question is..do you think this technique would work to cover all over? I am SO tired of wigs and have not worn MY hair in over 5 years. Please let me know and TY again
You are beautiful inside and out! In a time where black women are soo blatantly disrespected, it takes soo much courage to put your insecurities on display. Thank you soo much for being brave & walking in your truth. I know there are soo many girls and women that are glad that you did this! I am one of them! 💪🏽👍🏽🌻🥰
I have had this since I was 13. I was diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia at 16. I'm using minoxidil and taking nourkrin tablets but with limited results. There are many of us going through the same, it's not easy at all. You did a great job with this hairstyle by the way. Consider doing this same hairstyle with a centre part, and adding edges on both sides. I can promise you'll love it!
I obviously don’t know you but I’m extremely proud of you for being vulnerable and willing to post this video. I know you’ve helped so many people. For all of those, especially the men who used to cherish and protect us but now belittle us while they lift other races up, enough is enough. It’s beyond time to come together as a community and find ways to empower each other. We are so strong but so broken. It’s time to get healed. In all areas. Beautiful video, Sis!
I myself suffer from alopecia and watching your story is very encouraging. This is by far one of the best tutorials I've seen. I would've never thought to use the extra hair the way you did. Haven't worn a ponytail in almost 13 years but with your technique..that's all about to change. Thank you for sharing..❤❤❤❤❤
This was by far the easiest video tutorial on this type of style I've EVER come across. Thank you young lady. Your presentation gets an A+. Watching you create those edges! Wow! And it was so simple! You kept me engaged because every step was explained along with the demonstration. You ID'd (and listed) each product you used thus making it simple to put the products in my Amazon cart. You just got a new subscriber. You're very talented!
WOW, UR COURAGE CAME ACROSS LOUD AND CLEAR. I THANK GOD I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY EDGES, BUT I KNOW WOMAN THAT DO. THIS IS GONNA HELP WOMAN & SALONS 🌏WIDE. YOU ARE AMAZING KEEP DOING YOU. EVEN THOU YOU PUT YOURSELF OUT THEIR, LOOK AT ALL OF THE WOMEN YOU HAVE HELPED WHO THOUGHT THEY COULD NOT WEAR A PONYTAIL. POSSIBILITIES IN THE MAKING. GOD BLESS. 🎯💕💯💚☀️
2 years later but I was searching for a way to cover up my edgeless edges with faux baby hair. This has given me another option. Thank you for your transparency. Thank you for your compassion.🌺
This runs in my family and I was always self conscious about having thin edges but I know it’s something that I have no control over. Thank you for sharing such a sensitive topic!
Young lady you have opened the door for women of all colors with their hair concerns, especially edges; giving women the courage and faith to know that she can be regardless of what their flaws are. This video is more than "hair care"! Know that. You will be sought after by a variety of people from many walks of life informing them that the average person can too, be gorgeous to their likings and you're a walking advertising tool for the company's products that you're using. Something you thought was bad has uplifted the lives of so many women. Stay on the path that you're on because you have a purpose and this is just the beginning!! I wish you the best at your journey! Continue being an inspiration to so many of us.
I decided to comment to let you know that you are not alone girlfriend! I've had traction alopecia for years and I had no other solution but to slap a wig on my head everyday. I can never wear the braid styles, the ponytails, the sew-ins, the crotchet locs or anything all the other girls wear and that has dampered my self esteem so much. You have to walk around everyday subconsciously knowing that there's a part of you that you have to hide and that's not easy to cope with. Worst off i've been married for 4 years and im still embarrassed to let my husband see my hair. I always keep a wig on or a hair bonnet on when he's around. So i must definitely say, kudos to changing the game with this one!
You should be proud of yourself for stepping out on a hard thing. Know that you are courageous and you are helping others to make that next step! I love the creativity!
Thank you so much for your vulnerability. My edges broke off this summer after braids were too tight, so I’m trying to see what I plan to do to get them back. That’s how I got to your video. We all have struggles, and I just pray that God continues to build our confidence in the women He created us to be with or without edges, concealers, enhancements, or whatever. You’re beautiful! God bless!
Lil Sis- Whew! Sisterly Love... A lot of women just feel- not good on the inside because of what society deems beautiful. But as a back-in-the-day creative hair stylist, a mom, and a in sync queen with you- I applaud you with KUUUUDOS!!! You paved the way for your generation by being your authentic self & LOVE to your mom for having insight to pushing you to be authentically you! Sigh. We women ALL go thru but as a mom, YOU ARE creatively beautiful on the inside as well as out. You and mom be blessed! Keep blessing all generations!
If you build the edges, they will come! Your hair turned out seamless! I have never, ever had edges! Hereditary trait. Was always talked about and made fun of (behind my back of course). Thank you for this innovative technique! Please continue to create fabulous content💯❤❤
I've never had edges before not having edges was a thing or issues for so many other people talking about edges. They have always been thin. I Never cared what people thought or think. You continue to be great and shine with or without edges. You're still beautiful. People find something to talk about good bad or indifferent.
Thanx so much for being transparent & sharing such sensitive to You.. I suffer from it myself & can relate to You 110%… You give me great confidence to now try more hairstyles that I haven’t been able to wear for years.. Thank You.. Keep bringing in this content! Bless You..
Love it Love it I to suffer with missing sides Love your methods went out and bought me some gra y. Human hair keep on making yo videos you got one follower for life I love you and THANKYOU. SOOOO MUCH🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💯
This makes me feel like I can do this for myself and be confident too. My edges are thinning out too and so is my hair and I think what you're doing for people like me who have this issue is helping build self confidence and high self self esteem. Thank you so much for your videos. Look forward to watching more 😊
I have never really paid attention to other people's edges. I have always known that we all have different hairlines, but I haven't connected the struggle that some people face with that particular part of the face/head. This video here has been very eye-opening as well as encouraging to others who have been suffering in silence. With or without edges, you are indeed beautiful. I hope that you'll continue to be an encouragement. ❤
You look gorgeous…love the ponytail! You’re a very brave woman. Sorry that people are so inconsiderate and ignorant to the fact that this is a health issue. Blessing to you!😍
I am so glad you didn't let the negative comments stop you from sharing. This is a game changer for so many women!! God bless you for your courage. Keep up the excellent work.
Sis, I love the positivity and confidence. We ALL have something we don't like about ourselves. I'm so glad you discovered something to boost your confidence! Being vulnerable is so hard...especially on a public forum. Keep helping people!!
Vanessa you are a natural beauty, so glad you found a needed solution! It’s beautiful and one thing that we know is that “We Black Girls MAke it Do What It Do”🙏🏼❤️
I always had thin edges. Never had weave or wear wigs. I wear my hair naturally which covers my edges. Thank you for being transparent it is a major issue but I don’t care what people say. You are beautiful
As so many have already expressed, thank you so much for being so transparent and sharing this. I know it was not easy. I also appreciate your integrity in that you gave credit to the person you got the idea from. I watched her video years ago and think the technique is genius. Thank you again and know that even though some may criticize, you've blessed countless others.
I haveI alopecia in the back of my hair. I’ve always have long hair to hide it so people didn’t & still don’t know unless I tell them. I cried because I wanted a short haircut & I found a hairstylist that cut my hair super short & hide my bald spot perfectly. Thanks for being so strong & confident❤️ #Flawless#Beautiful
I'm 32 and started losing my hair about 2 years ago.. it will not stop falling out and I'm starting to get very thin on the sides. My doctor will not help me figure out what's going on. It hurts so much and is embarrassing so I understand what you're going thru. But I have to tell you that you're absolutely beautiful!!! With or without edges! And please ignore the people that are mean to you, they obviously have something going on in their life that they have to take out on someone. Or they have to put down others to feel better about themselves. It's very sad, but you seem like an AMAZING beautiful woman helping others! There is absolutely nothing wrong with you!
Your video is so uplifting. There are so many people who suffer from this and it's great to see an alternative. You are such an inspiration and so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your story as well as a process to help others.
@@nessmonae I'm so loving your idea. Just came across your video. Absolutely beautiful. I also suffer from thinning edges. My edges was bold, but they have grown alot, still have a ways to go. If I was to use the got to be glue will it take out the hair that has already grown in.
You are a beautiful soul.Do NOT stop being transparent. You are helping a lot people who don't have the courage to do what you are doing. KEEP BEING AN INSPIRING YOUNG LADY..
Amazing video. You’re absolutely beautiful with or without edges. I’m glad you didn’t listen to the negative comments, as like someone else said you have no doubt changed thousands of lives. As black women we should be empowering each other and that’s what you are doing here. Thank you for being a REAL shining light in a world that can sometimes be dark and fake. There’s great power on sharing your issue to help others. Continue to shine ❤️
I also suffer from traction Alopecia around my edges, your video give me hope. Thank your for being transparent and sharing your experience with traction Alopecia and working up the courage to make a video on how to rock a ponytail with fake edges. I am over here flooded with tears of confident and joy. You just made my day young lady!
My daughter is 13 now and she has this same issue but she wears headbands all the time to hide her edges. I’m differently about to try this on her. Thanks for sharing I came on here to look for her a teenage hair style and you just gave us the game changer 💕
I can sooo relate to you girl! First off, you are STUNNING, such perfect skin & features! I'm a white girl, so i just have always called it having a high hair line or huge forehead, cuz I've never heard of the edge thing. I'm either in a ball cap, hair down, swooped pony or some kind of wide headband or very rare occasions a high bun with lots of hair magic in the front! Keep doing you! Lots of us just like you out there! ♡
Vannnessssaaaa, you are telling my story. OMG you are a-ma-zing... I don't remember having edges as a young child either. I, as a 48 year old women this is one of my insecurities still today and I want to applaud you for getting the courage to post your story, my story and millions of women around the world. You gave me LIFEEEEEE. 😍 You can be edgeless and still be confident!
Just ..thank you‼️ I’ve dealt with the same condition as you for as long as I can remember (and I’m 40). Therefore, I definitely relate to your heart and story. We as human beings must learn not to judge a person without knowing their story. Again THANK YOU for being so brave. You are unquestionably the encouragement many of us need right now.👍🏽
You just saved my confidence!!! I suffer from hair loss due to a surgery I had a few years ago and my edges are GONE! I just bought that Toppik stuff that did not work and it looked terrible. Thank you for your courage to share a vulnerable piece of you with the world girl. My son also suffers from hair loss alopecia which started at age 3 when he loved to wear his hair cut in a mohawk like his big brother. That hurt my heart. At one point he was completely slick bald and almost losing his eyebrows, but God....one year his hair just started growing back and now we can keep it cut low even though it is still patchy in some areas. I am running out to my beauty supply to go grab some hair to try this technique because I love to style my hair be became self conscious with hiding my edges over the last few years. Much love to you dear!!
Thank you for sharing! As Beyoncé stated, “Perfection is the disease of a nation”. Instead of fixing to society’s demands, you’ve embraced your imperfections. This encourages me to love myself even more knowing that I am not alone.
Really ingenious. Glad you found a way to feel more confident about yourself. You have shared this technique so that others can feel confident too. You are beautiful inside and out.
Thank you so much! I lost my edges after having a baby at 37 years old. And it really broke my confidence. Seeing this video (and I saw you on TikTok) I was like Yes!!!! Finally! A means to an end. You have forever changed my life. Thank you so much for sharing
Very very proud of you …it takes a lot of courage to share your insecurities with a world full of critical people! I too suffer from balding edges at 52 and you have inspired me!
Thank you for sharing your testimony. I also been suffering from alopecia. I'm grateful for someone like yourself showing me how to cover up both side boldness. You are beautiful lady. God bless you. 😊
This is so wonderful - thank you. I experienced hair loss as a result of too tight braids and over styling. I found out the hard way that hair changes over time and what you can do in your twenties you can’t do in your forties after having kids- even though I was taking vitamins. You are truly a blessing
When I saw this tutorial on Tic Tock I was very impressed and believe me you have help a lot of people including me ....Don't pay attention to what people say cause they probably using your process on themselves... I now can wear a ponytail now 😂!!!! Well Done and thanks for helping and showing the edgeless technique ❤️❤️❤️
You just gave me a better method for covering the edges, I was using hair sprinkles, I too have thin edges, your method is much better, love 💕 it, thanks for sharing 😊.
You're so freaking gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS💕 and I'm so proud of you for sharing this. It took so much courage, you have no idea. Also, anyone that tries to judge- alopecia can literally happen to anyone! It's soooo common and can be due to genetics, hormones, underlying health issue- ANYTHING.
I e dealt with this all my life same story born with my mom is a professional hairdresser and we have always tried to hide it I’m so emotional just seeing someone better help us I can finally feel a lot more free😫🙏🏽💕
Good job. I too am a part of the edge struggle due to styling and having naturally thin hair. I have always been self conscious about my forehead before the thin edges. So I feel your pain and applaud you for loving your self edges or nah.
OMG, You did that ! I would have never known that wasnt your own hair if I hadn't seen your video, it looks TOTALLY natural. My daughter is a hairstylist and she gets alot of clients that have alopecia and have no edges, this will definitely help her to make her ladies look amazing and feel so much more confident. Thank you for sharing this video. Wishing you nothing but the best for your channel. Keep the good content coming. I am now a subscriber 🙂
I am so glad you did this. I was so tired of my natural hair and traction alopecia at my temples due to braids that I cut all of my hair off. Now I wish I hadn’t because this would have worked for me. I have missed wearing a ponytail which I loved. When and if my hair grows back I will definitely try your technique. You are a Godsend ❤️🥰
You are a gem 💎!!! Thank you for this ☺️☺️☺️ I’ve always struggled with thin edges and have never been confident, but this gives me hope. I’m grateful that you didn’t delete it!!! 😍😍😍
You are such a blessing, and you are so right these days people only see perfection and perfection is in the eyes of the beholder. I too suffer from little to no edges and it's actually hereditary all 3 of my sisters and my mom deal with it. I applause you for taking the time to share your story. God bless you sis keep shining and letting God use you to to help others feel beautiful!
Pregnancy went with my edges. I have the same problem. Thanks girl. I appreciate it❤❤❤ love u girl. Gods blessings be on you always . I will always be using this from now on
Just Brilliant!!! I suffer and always have since my childhood…I’m 64 now!!! This is a great idea and I’m happy you feeling better about yourself! Doesn’t bother me at all I precision cut my hair and camouflage very well!!! Btw I’m a retired hairstylist and cosmetology instructor!!! God bless you and keep shining🙏🏽❤️

@@Jasmine-ju2wm oh I unferstand, I just meant a challenge black women may face, that I didn’t know.
I'm here for it 💕🤗
I’m learning! And thank you🤎
I 100% agree!
Opinions aren't what makes me upset, it's the mean and hurtful things that pisses me off..
Had to start using the block button a lot whew😅
@@nessmonae it's ghetto out here 😂
I like how honest she is about this struggle. We all have to figure out edge retention...it's a battle and it's tough.
So people are suffering, dying, getting abused and God leaves them in their misery to come save your edges? What a loving caring deity 🙄
Glory be to God , but girl I've been praying for my edges since I was little and they are still ugh 😫
@@deniseclemmons7842 keep on praying and believe
I love that you showed women who are suffering from thinning edges, a way to fill them in, to be able to wear a style, confidently! You look beautiful!
I've never seen a woman more talented, motivated & compassionate about her hair before. Thank you for your story, may God bless you and don't give up and listen to the negativity. Even God himself until this day has people who hates him, keep on being awesome 👌 😊
My edges are my biggest insecurity as well I’m definitely going to try this! Thank you 🙌🏾😌
You’re welcome
This video is absolutely amazing. And so are you
because you are insecure if you are beautiful
Mine too. I love her for what she did for us. Courageous
I'm a licensed senior cosmetologist and you did an
amazing job!
Unfortunately, there will always be haters. Keep your head up sista girl. You're an intelligent black queen. God bless you.
It’s not only the technique, you have such a humble, welcoming vibe to you.
Well thank you.
Beautiful lady thank you for the edges imputed
Yes shes beautiful inside and out.
This is beautiful, well done! 🌹
We got this 💕🤍Have a great week!
Yes! I am so happy that I found her because this has been my life since I was younger.!! Wheeew! Thank you
Vanessa I think you're great!!. I have been trying and trying to figure out a way to conceal my edges or lack thereof. YOU showed me it was possible and it changed my life. Please don't let these people make you feel bad. You're a beautiful young woman and I appreciate you. Don't stop your videos I need them.
I appreciate you! Thank you so much.
Thank you for having the courage to put this out! It’s something millions of women struggle with, and you are helping aid in making others feel beautiful and confident!!! Love the hair and makeup!!! Keep going love ❤️
Thank you🤎🤎🤎🤎
Don't mind those sounding brasses and tinkling cymbals...they are just empty barrels!
This strategy is GENIUS! Keep doing you and don't worry about nonfactors.

Traction alopecia is from abuse. The majority of the time some type of habitual and consistent abuse of the hair and scalp is the reason.
I have had traction alopecia since I was a child. I applaud you for allowing us in your space! I'm 50 and I'm still self conscious about it. However you, have inspired me to embrace me for who I am! For that I say thank you 👑 queen!
Me too
Such a beautiful comment

You are a genius!!! And you have taught me how to conceal my bald edges and how to restore my confidence as well!!
There are so many of us out there who suffer from this problem and have been limited as to the styles we can wear. But you my dear have given us freedom to style and to rock the styles that everyone else is rockin!! Thank you again🥰
I just found out my hair loss on my edges is caused my Fibromyalgia. This video is AMAZING! At 54, I am so insecure about it, I wear scarves or wigs, but I want to wear my ponytail again!! This gives me hope! Thank you.
OMG! We must connect hun. Fibromyalgia is the worst.
Wow i suffer from that also, came across this video months later❤️❤️ she has given me hope something to try
Wow, I have Fibromyalgia Too 😧 I didn't know Why My Edge's was thinning.....🤔 Thank You 😊
I have Alopecia to no edges n no hair on my temple area the back of my hair is long.
You’re welcome! I’m happy to know I helped. We are in this together🤎
Vanessa Sis you just started something Big. Girl you are a blessing to a lot of women. Great idea!❤️
You better come thru, sis! You can't tell me nothing about the ingenuity of my people. I love us. Cuuuuute.

Amen sis... I agree.
I don't struggle with alopecia, but thought this was pretty genius artistry. I know a lot of friends who do. you look amazing.
You're beautiful for what you've done to your hair .But you're also beautiful just the way you are.
I enjoyed watching you do the fake edges that was great love it❣️
This was by far the easiest video tutorial on this type of style I've EVER come across. You're very talented!

i love this! thank you.
2 years later but I was searching for a way to cover up my edgeless edges with faux baby hair. This has given me another option. Thank you for your transparency. Thank you for your compassion.🌺
You're so beautiful; this was an excellent job. You deserve all positive vibes.
Hey 👋🏾
This runs in my family and I was always self conscious about having thin edges but I know it’s something that I have no control over. Thank you for sharing such a sensitive topic!
Hey 👋🏾
Janay hello how are you Babe
God bless!
How beautiful you look! You’ve blessed many women with your ingenious idea, Vanessa. I’m very proud of you, honey.
Best fake edge video EVER♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you

A lot of women just feel- not good on the inside because of what society deems beautiful. But as a back-in-the-day creative hair stylist, a mom, and a in sync queen with you- I applaud you with KUUUUDOS!!! You paved the way for your generation by being your authentic self & LOVE to your mom for having insight to pushing you to be authentically you! Sigh. We women ALL go thru but as a mom, YOU ARE creatively beautiful on the inside as well as out. You and mom be blessed! Keep blessing all generations!
Hey, want to thank you for being SO beautiful, brave & vulnerable! This is SUCH a helpful video! ❤
Bless You..

I have never really paid attention to other people's edges. I have always known that we all have different hairlines, but I haven't connected the struggle that some people face with that particular part of the face/head.

OMG, that was actually brilliant. Who knew. You did that!!!😮

You have honestly changed my life...I thought i would have to wear wigs forever. thanks Sis!
Proud of your self-confidence. Thanks for sharing this. This will definitely help me. Continue to hold your head up and know that you’re beautiful.
I love your enthusiasm and you give women courage not to stop looking beautiful no matter what set back we have keep up the good work .blessings
OMG, You did that ! I would have never known that wasnt your own hair if I hadn't seen your video, it looks TOTALLY natural.
Your hair will grow back. Eat well, drink water and give your body a chance bounce back; you got this!🥰
Cantress Thomas some proud of that really make your hair grow and it stop it from being Tangled and everything
As you said "you did that" So beautiful. It's going to take some practice for me. Thank you so much
