Great show guys, I'm here in Birmingham England , we are the Ladykillers band and everything you say is so connected, about the Paradise Cove clip, we think that could have been so awkward to do because of Brian it's amazing they did anything at all ???
I enjoyed the Genesis book on the Beach Boys more than the Disney+ documentary. Even though the book stops around 1980, it caught the relationship dynamics of the band and the impact of the music.
well yes, the Beach Boys deserved a six part one hour a piece episode type anthology. The Grateful Dead had this on Prime. To me this is typical of how the Beach Boys are still treated. Compared to the Beatles, the Dead , the Stones they will always be considered lightweight who's creative period was seen as being relatively short. As a long, long time fan I've dealt with this for years. They will always be seen as a "greatest hits" cash cow by whomever owns the rights
just to be clear about something : when you see Mike and Bruce or when you saw the Brian Wilson Band you are not seeing the Beach Boys. The Beach Boys as a band, especially as a live act ended when Carl Wilson died and Al Jardine was booted from the band. That was it, when you have no Wilson's onstage you have no Beach Boys. Even in 2012 when the surviving members reunited it wasn't really the Beach Boys because you were missing the best singer in a vocal band: Carl Wilson. I realize that Mike , God bless him , is leasing the name and the remaining members have signed off on that but it still ain't the Beach Boys.
That's right, Gerry. The Beach Boys' music exists solely in the music, not the group name. That said, whenever anyone has the opportunity to see any one of the group perform I think they should take it. At the very least they get to join with whoever's on stage and celebrate that music and the memory of Carl and Dennis Wilson.
Really appreciated this interview, especially the relationship between Mike & Brian ❤️

Thanks for watching. Yeah, it is frustrating.
Love never credited Brian like this guy is talking about. Even if he is paraphrasing it’s still not true. Love has always wanted equal credit.
@@pauldrew3696 we will address your statements in an upcoming video. Thanks for watching.

This joker in the striped shirt must be getting paid by Love. Nothing but propaganda and lies.
