Keep that subwoofer at ur right corner of ur room from the TV. U can get a best reverb bass instead of keeping near ur TV as The bass gets muddy if it kept above the basement and the vibrations of the room will be lesser. Also Keeping it near the TV can damage the TV display (Due to powerful magnet), also the vibrations of it can make it move and fall of from the table.

Sony ht-s20r doesnt decode dolby through the hdmi-arc but optical cable does why? According to your view hdmi is more advanced. But slight difference in audio quality between hdmi-arc and optical cable, i feel optical cable is far better. And it decode all the freequency
