- Texas vs Vanderbilt Highlights | Astros Foundation College Classic | 2024 College Baseball Highlights. Texas Baseball and Vanderbilt Baseball played in the 7th game of the Astros Foundation College Classic in the 2024 College Baseball Season.

Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other TH-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Agree texas needs better pitching in bull pen last 2 games have been horrible giving up leads to loose games. If that's how it's gonna be then texas baseball is in for long not so good season.
Tell me about it. They almost always throw these early ones away and then get hot at the right time and make a push for Omaha. For us longhorn fans, it really IS the gift that keeps on giving! 🤘🤘

Brother it’s week 3… Texas went 0-3 in the globe life tourney last year and still made a super…
Vandy fan here, it’s way too early to say that. UT can clearly mash and you don’t know how each piece of the pitching staff will settle in. Kumar Rocker got shelled in February of his freshman year and look how that season turned out for him.

Being a tennessee vols fan i despise the vandy commadores. Coach vitello's teams have finally got enough talent over the past 3 seasons. They have been beating the candy land boys. Last year the vols swept a 3 game series with the brats in Nashville.

@harolddenton6031 Oh ok, so let’s just forget that the Vols players are literal jerks. They do bat flips when they get walked, trash talk pitchers when they get hits, flip birds as they run the bases, and yell and argue with umpires. They even message opposing team’s players before games to tell them how awful they are and how they will never win because they are terrible. Vitello has THROWN A BAT at an opposing team’s player (still a kid!) just because the Vols were losing and he was mad. He has been thrown out of games so many times it’s basically expected. Not to mention he has literally hit an umpire. It’s no wonder the Vols players act the way they do when the man who is supposed to lead them acts like a baby himself.
On the other hand, the Vandy Boys are taught respect and how to be gentleman. I have been to many games and have seen the Vanderbilt guys talk to and interact with opposing players before, during, and after games; work with the other team to put up equipment; and apologize for accidents during a game. After games, the players come out and sign things and interact with fans. I have seen them talk with little kids, people with various disabilities, and fans who just want to chat. Coach Corbin knows that life isn’t just about baseball and teaches them how to stand correctly for the national anthem; how to be respectful towards coaches and umpires; on and on. Corbin would rather have a respectable team who follows authority and plays baseball well than a team who can play ball but doesn’t know how to be respectful, kind, and able to get along with others. And while the Vandy Boys are not always perfect (Yes, they have gotten mad at the coach or at an umpire or been rude to another player, but they always get reprimanded and at times transferred out of the team), I would rather root for a team with good morals than a team full of brats who don’t know how to be a good sport, win or lose. I am a proud Vanderbilt Commodores baseball fan and will always be one, rain or shine!
Why is that Vandy catcher yapping. Buddy did absolutely nothing the entire game. Vandy has definitely fallen off hard since the rocker and Leiter years.

After Cunningham dealt so well yesterday, I had a nervous feeling about Futrell today since he has been our best starter so far this season. Apparently my gut was right. What I didn’t count on was the lineup having a never say die attitude and stealing a victory to help Vandy go 3-0 at the tourney & 5-0 on the week against some decent competition. ⚓️ down
