    "Tesla forgets that these cars have to be cars"
    that's how a lot of their recent things feel, especially the cybertruck (if that's ever coming out....). Hell, that whole thing looks like it was made by people who have never in their life had to actually *use* a truck

      Tesla is a tech company that happens to make cars. They're the Apple of the car industry, but at least Apple products are well put-together.

      I agree, they need criticism. In the video I meant that a lot of people bash Tesla aimlessly and hopelessly. I think their good points should be noted and their downfalls should be addressed.

    What is wrong with Tesla giving price discounts going forward? Did car companies not use to give rebates? They never made those retroactive.

    The non physical buttons are absolutely ridiculous. I’ve got an android stereo in my car and sometimes they just don’t register when my hands are dirty, whatever it’s just a cheap tablet but when they are necessary to open doors and use the horn and for turn signals that’s when it’s enough. I still think evs are cool but they need to stop being a fad and more practical.

  • @meadmaker4525
    @meadmaker4525 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think the square/circular (squircular?) wheel in the Cybertruck is probably the best sort of hybrid between the yoke and a normal steering wheel, especially when paired with the steering ratio of the Cybertruck. The yoke looks cool, but it's a little clumsy to deal with until you get used to it.

    Love how you get access to all these cars! Ive seen much larger channels, hmm straight pipes, that don't do Teslas because they wont give press cars. I think some of the points made in the video were good but some are just not the reality, I have seen many owners like the yoke after they get used to them and you just have to learn new things if you want something cool like that. Same with the shifter, why have a physical shifter sticking out taking up space when that works great, Especially giant shifters in the center column that waste so much space. I think they should update the outside look more over the old models but on the inside I disagree, they come with much faster processors, horizontal versus vertical screen, better sound insulation and overall build quality. Why knock those aftermarket buttons, I prefer this aftermarket option to a stock button that is fixed forever in location and function. There software is exceptional and I think very intuitive to learn, if you want certain things on a button where you want it you can add it. Keep up the independent reviews!

    • @paulm6481
      @paulm6481 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because physical buttons and shifters are controlled based on muscle memory. Tesla interiors you have to stare at those controls, stupid

    Since the price of Tesla shares fell like falling granite and Musk cut new car prices Tesla needs sales volume, consequently quantity overrides quality.
    At the price point they are Tesla cars needs to vastly improve fit and finish and the interior is below par for an expensive vehicle.
    Musk thinks his cars are A1 but he can't get Tesla's build quality up to Japanese and European standards. I sometimes think Tesla owners are blind to build quality and think because it's an EV all is well.
    Here in the UK we lack the infrastructure to cope with 90,000 EV's , heaven help us if the tree huggers get their way and there are 500,000 EV's on our roads. The National Grid will collapse and riots will break out over who gets to a charging point first.
    I'll stick with my 60 mpg diesel car, £30 VED and 18p/mile running costs..

    Tesla made it official that a full steering wheel is now optional and can be retrofitted to yoke cars. It was a dumb idea from the beginning and there have been issues with the yoke's coating coming off. Tesla is a tech company that happens to make cars where Elon's idea of cool is the only deciding standard. There's probably a reason why the Cybertruck is still vaporware while the F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T are destroying the EV pickup market. Legacy carmakers have caught up and build cars that don't fall apart as often. Competitors have full interiors with buttons and more options.
    Tesla is the Apple of the car industry but at least Apple has good quality. Expensive premium "luxury" good, proprietary connector, proprietary service, rabid fans who will defend it to the death, quirky CEO, limited styles and options, tech for the sake of being techy, dull design sold as being upscale and minimalist, styling never changes.
    The black hood makes it look like it was crashed and repaired with a hood from the junkyard. Two-tone doesn't work with this pattern. This one also has the spoiler up, because if your car has a power spoiler you must drive with it up all the time to show everyone how cool you are.

    Putting the shifter in the screen like that should be illegal for an auto maker to do... If the screen freezes, or is somehow damaged... HOW THE HELL WOULD YOU OPERATE THE CAR ?? Tesla has lost its way.. wow.. complete trash! The yoke should be banned by regulation unless they fix the ratio, and the screen shifter is so dumb idk how to put it into words how stupid it is!

      @@Annette_Hons oh I noticed.. I also noticed they aren’t always visible. And if anything should always be visible in a vehicle it’s the way you shift into and out of gear. This is a BAD move on teslas part. Little things like this ruin otherwise phenomenal cars. This would be a dealbreaker for me if I were looking to buy a Tesla.
