You probably missed him. He came to SA twice: 2013 Cape Town International Jazz and 2014 Joy of Jazz in Johannesburg.

@@rmr3528 oh you have no idea! I had tickets for a concert in April 2020 and then boom, pandemic happened and concert cancelled. My money was refunded and everything but I missed the opportunity to see him live yet again. I had missed another concert date previously for another tough reason.
I saw him last Friday in St Augustine, Florida. It was in a quaint backyard with Spanish Moss hanging from trees all around. It felt so personal and warm even though there was a slight chill in the air. It was nice !

Saw Gregory in concert in Sheffield UK a few years ago, apart from loving his music I was inspired to go & see him by my dad who regretted for the rest of his life never seeing Sinatra when he had chance to, Jeeez Gregory Porter is world class & that concert will live long in the memories of my life, if ever you get the chance just go even on your own like I did you will never regret it.
