      It is better to show in your ITR even if small amount.

      If you have Commission Income is incidental to main occupation than you can show Commission Income under Head Income from other source in ITR-1 Otherwise you have to file ITR-3 along with Profit and loss Account and Balance Sheet

    Sir, one of my friends commission income from other sources is 46,000 and tution income is 40,000 . Total 86000, filed ITR 1 as other income and got defective notice.
    Please suggest what to do.. can I Mark disagree and continue.. urgent please respond

      @@er.debasishroy there is some issue at CPC while processing ITRs this year......As per Income Tax Rules you can disclose Commission income under head Income from other Sources if it is received occasionally or not from regular business but this year Income Tax Department is sending defective notices if comission income under head Income from Other source .....now it is better to revise your Return and show commission income under head Income from Business and Profession.

      Itr 1 as salary amt is more than commission. You can show commission as incme frm other sources

    Sir, I got one time commision/brokerage and it's showing in my AIS and 5% TDS was deducted by the payee. Now do I have it as income from other sources and pay tax as per my income tax slabs ?

      You can file ITR-1 by Declaring Commission Income under Head Income from other source, you have to pay tax after adjusting TDS deducted according slab rate considering other incomes if any.

      @@InderjeetSunda sir actually case aisa hai ki, gas cylinder agency hai -reliance eg, or retial sale karte on commission u/s 194 H or expenses bhi hai iske samne
      And unka retial shop bhi but commission income jayda hai retial shop.
      To itr-4 mein commission income ko business income nahi dikha sakte

      You can file ITR-1 showing Commission Income under Head Income from other source without claiming expenses against such Commission or you can file ITR-3 showing Commission Income under Head PGBP along with P&L and Balance Sheet, you can claim expenses against such Commission Income in ITR -3.

      If You want to show expenses against Commission Income than You have to file ITR 3 along with Profit and loss Account and Balance sheet, Commission Income to shown under Commission in Profit and Loss Account.

    Bhai maine ek plot sale karwaya h usme mujhe cash commission mila hai 10 lakh dono party se 5 5 lakh krke.. Mai itr me kaise dikhaunga isko or mere pas to koi paper nhi hai commission ka wo to bs cash diye h mujhe. agar itr notice aaya to kya bolunga unnhe.. Please reply

      As Per Section 269ST of Income Tax Act 1961 if You accept/receive Rs. 2 Lakh or More in Cash in Single Day or against Single Transaction in Multiple Days than penalty equal to amount received will be levied on you.

      @@SubhamSatapathy You have to show Hereditary Commission Income under Head Income from other Source and if you show Commission income under Head Income from other source than you need not to file Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account.

    Sir main coal field limited(ccl) Main commision pe work kr raha hu coal lifting ka kam hai jispe commision milta hai..
    Suggest kijiye mujhe kon sa itr form file Krna chaiye...
    Or payment mere hi bank account main aata hai jisko main party ko pura payment ke deta hu ye mere account main dikh raha hai...
    Esse koi problem hai ya notice aa skta hai kiya thoda bataye or kon sa itr form bharana chaiye

      In this case You Need to file Your ITR. Your ITR is depends on Nature of your Income. First you need to check your 26AS, If TDS is deducted u/s 194C than file ITR-4 Declaring income u/s44AD and If TDS is deducted u/s 194H than file ITR-3 along with Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account.

      Yes You Can File ITR 4 after Showing Commission Income under Head Income from Other Sources and also Choose Income source Under TDS Schedule as Income Chargeable under Head Income from other Sources.
