You've upped my win percentage from around 60-65 to 90+. I learned a lot trying to apply an Usyk/Loma like game plan and letting them burn their stamina. And it worked well, but I realize now that it was to much movement for the high level spammers. My only issue now is back foot point fighters. Great videos man
Thanks and glad you're winning more. Yeah with high level spammers I'd focus on only hitting their body with single body shots on the same side the are spamming from at first to let them tire out. Also a big factor is avoiding backstep straights, that's almost mandatory. (Use your left straight or hook to body from southpaw vs their orthodox straight etc. ) Just focus hitting their body occasionally and not getting hit with straights. (see this first section th-cam.com/video/3mSEVS3KCR4/w-d-xo.html and part of the fight with the dude that is 60-5 after that section. Then later in the video there is part of a fight vs a guy that was 640-0 , he used a pattern type spam, I tried to show how to block that all the while only using my left hand.) I have a lot of that in videos but I'm not really a youtuber/video editor so it's allover the place. I actually was trying to think of how to put together a video specifically about high level spammers, I have some fights I need to dig out, I'll try to do that. For runners you can try to dash into them, jab their body for a while or switch stances to move faster to catch up to them. If you're down on points hit the body only (maybe a few head jabs) for 6-7 rounds if needed. th-cam.com/video/zk-XP7cR9TA/w-d-xo.html But yeah with high level spammers a lot of stepping is not good. I'd only throw a single side step straight or hook to their body until they start slowing down. But remember when facing an orthodox straight spammer we need to be southpaw and use low punches under their straights. and take the fight very slow. If they southpaw then we go orthodox and go under their left straight. Thanks for the comment, it's always great to hear people are doing better. I'm trying to put some more vids out. Take care

Man I’m coming from playing mostly fight night round 3. And I stumbled across your boxing classes for FNC. Now I’m a FNC junkie lol smh. Because I don’t have a style yet, I decided to adopt your classic boxing bully style. I haven’t played online yet but been in the lab with Hager and ray the cpu on G.O.A.T. The worst thing about this game are the camera angles. I’ve been practicing exactly how you suggested. But with the camera on broadcast..feels more like a sim. I don’t know if this is bad but I also lower the time for counters. These last few days I’ve only been working on catching punches (perfect blocking). When implement it correctly it’s almost as if you’re fighting inside like a real bout. I love it!!! Ty!! Would love to pick your brain for more knowledge about this game. You are hands down the best teacher so far.
Thanks a lot! It's great that you're practicing offline first, it will really help because online is (usually) as spam fest. The main reason I like the high or wide camera angle is that most players do that backstep straight (see the "Body Punching" video about 5 minutes in) I find it easier to see it coming with the high or wide camera angle but everyone is different and see things in their own way. Preventing/countering that backstep straight and straights in general will be the biggest obstacle online. In my view the straight punch is 2x (at least) more powerful than any other punch and for that reason it's spammed and spammed online. If you can become very adept at dealing with straight spam you will do very well. (see video "Don't Get Spammed Out") The brawling style with a short reach is a very, very effective style. You won't see many people online using it. These days there's more but in the past I very rarely came across with the shortest reach throwing hooks and staying close. I had planned on going online and doing some sparring with people but this last year has been very busy (change of career and learning even on weekends). Hopefully in the future I'll have some time and I can give some tips online. Let me know your gamertag and I'll hit you. Thanks for the great comment!
Take away the issues with spamming, Fight night is still an amazing boxing game. 10 years? That’s ancient in video game years. It’s older than GTA 5 and had way less support after release. But more or less, it still holds up. At the end of the day if you’re skilled and understand the game. you’ll beat most spammers with ease.
Agree. It's a great game. I honestly think EA could have just tweaked a few things, added a boxer or two (for a sales point) and sold another version no problem. But yeah, we can't really ask for more. The servers are still up, online gameplay is generally really smooth, no complaints from me.
Thanks man! I remember scouring youtube and forums when I first started playing years ago. Most people that posted instructions are more counter puncher types. I figured one day I'd make some videos in a way that I would want to watch when I was new. So I try to do that. I also prefer a more aggressive style, I only found a few videos that showed that. I'm glad it helps out. I'm not a youtube/narrator type guy so sometimes the commentary can get ugly; but my main focus is getting everyone that plays the ability to beat any spammer. I hope down the road spamming will be obsolete. That's my mission and why I bother with all of this.
Just wondering, does combination stat to the max make combination speed of two just punches faster? When I played I would probably only combo 3 punches max. Usually combo only 2. Therefore wasn't sure whether it was a waste to max it out...
It's the speed and the number of punches. I too usually only throw 2 - 3 punches at a time. For me, that combo stat really is effective later in the fight. There are times where the opp is so tired he can be overwhelmed with big combos (6-8) punches. You have a good question though, I'd experiment and see what works best for you. For me and my style, often times I have to chase people around at the end of the fight and having the combo stats in that clutch situation has been very, very helpful. Sometimes people literally look like they are running for their life and I have to throw combos that can launch me into them. Like a lunging hook, straight, another lunging hook etc. I'd play around with it and see if it works for you.
Not me, I haven't played online in like 6-8 months, I started a new career and when I'm not working I'm trying to learn more things for work. Most of my clips that I use in videos are from at least a year ago except for the offline training ones and most of those were taken about 6 months ago. I wish I could play more but I'm in a position now where I have to make a lot of money. In the past I used to spend all night and all weekend playing games, unfortunately I can't do that anymore. Sometime in the future when I can play some, we can have some matches, that would be cool. 👍
it can't be there's an exact person named bald bully in a kilt I fought 8 rounds with was a really good match! no lies! if I find him again I'll record it for you!! thanks for your reply and yes alot of good advice helped me online get more rounds out of spammers even though I'd lose 3 knockdown s I'd still get 2 on them making them think twice. and seeing raymond bishop, well alot of people just run away or lag switch. crazy. thanks again and hope to fight soon. peace
