Life is a journey that tests you before giving the lessons. Mistakes are made and knowledge is gained. Keep a clear head, stay positive and enjoy the journey.

I understand this story 100%. Lost my dad a year ago and can really appreciate all the things he taught me. Made me the man I am today, exactly like you said.

I watch you every single day. I dont think there is a video i havent watched. I enjoy all your videos cause you are blunt, no filter, and you speak the truth and dont care who it makes mad or anything.

As a man who works with his hands and was taught everything By my dad and my dad wasn't the guy to grab you and say here this is how you Do this Instead he made me Watch and learn and don't ask no questions just watch and pay attention and then when you do it you're gonna fuck it up and hes gonna let you mess it up that way you can learn to fix it That's all learning craft is just messing it up over and over and over again until you learn not to fuck it up thanks reaper⁸

To all those that appreciate the life lessons and respect they have for their fathers, very much respect. There is a huge difference between hard lessons and abuse, unfortunately that was my life growing up and you never get over it, because I grew in a time that neighors would not think of butting into what went on in a neighbors home because that was grounds for a gun fight in the middle of the street.

I learned after my Dad passed, and as I got older, pretty much everything he told me when I was growing up was spot on and never meant to hurt me or fck me over in any way. When we are young we think we know it all. Oh well, live and learn.

I was always impressed by how awesome of a painter your dad was. Even more impressive was watching him walk beside the car and hold that spray gun steady. He definitely taught me some things. I was thankful to have known him.

    James,for one you look amazing
Two,you talking about your dad ,and things that you said he said with your first wife,ha sounds just like my dad when I was with my first wife even before we were married. I’m only three years older than you ,and if my dad was still alive he would be 95, born and raised in Tulsa, then move to Jay in 81, my dad was a paint and body man for 60+ years, taught me a lot, wish that I had payed more attention, but being young and full of,well you know I didn’t
    Thank you for sharing

Man I relate so much with you talking about how your dad was with you, even though I remember you telling those stories a while back I still love hearing it again cause it's so much like how it was with me and my dad it's unreal. My dad passed away in 2014 when I was 22 and it was an absolute unexplainable feeling which I'm sure you know all too well. Much love and respect brother from Columbia, TN

Man I’ve been here for a while and like your videos a lot. But there’s one thing I’m curious about bc I’ve never heard you talk about your kids really. How are they and how did u end up with Brantley. I know that’s got to be a touchy subject but I’m interested in knowing how your kids are today. I love the life story videos btw. I’ve learned some things from them and tried to better myself from listening to your story

Sharing can be theraputic; what may be more important to you: it will be completely lost if you don't document it. Sorry to hear about your father, like all of us he seems flawed in one way or another -- but it's important to face up to these things.

Like you my dad was hard on me But he was a good man. I never went hungry and was provided what was needed. He had a stroke when I was 4 and was told he wouldn't walk again but he also walked out of the hospital. But we was different. He was a cook I was hooked on big block motors he liked in 6cyls.I cooked for a living at times truck driving was my thing.
