Pound dogs are the best dogs. My first dog was from the pound. I had found her on the street, kept her for one night, and then turned her into the pound to give her owner a chance to claim her. When I went back to pick her up, she was sitting miserably in the cage until she saw me walking up. Then she got up and excitedly wagged her tail. Turns out her previous owners had just moved away leaving her in the back yard. The people next door fed her for a few months until she escaped from the yeard. Best friend I ever had.
Doodles from the pound are there for a reason, which is usually because their owners were in over their heads. You'll be spending a lot of money in behavorist visits.
There is an 8th reason not to get a Labradoodle. My Labradoodle just turned 4 and is incredibly smart and understands much of what I say. He absolutely is an incredible dog, full of personality and we have formed a tight bond. Separation anxiety is a problem, but its mostly on my part. i get very upset when I am away from him for a long period of time, but hey, I'll deal with it. I love my dog so much, he has brought so much joy to my life. Now the 8th reason not to get a Labradoodle is that they don't live long enough. I know when the time comes, I will be emotionally devasted. I know that can be the case with any dog, but these are dogs you can really bond with and one has to be prepared and be able to deal with a devasting lost down the road. To anyone that has gone through the pain of losing dog, you have my sincere and deepest sympathies.
We got our first labradoodle 2.5 years ago at the young age of 9 weeks old. She was the craziest puppy we have ever had but wow, now she's just a wonderful and very smart dog. She brings so much happiness to everyone in the family. She would rather be with people than dogs except for her boyfriend, who is a huge Rhodesian Ridgeback. My girl is 41 lbs and truly never took a nap while she was a pup but now she loves her naps, car rides and walks. She does go with us everywhere we can take her. It is true, she wants to be everywhere we are including the bathroom.... ugh she loves our granddaughter and when she's out here visiting, our girl will camp outside our granddaughter's bedroom door waiting for her to wakeup. She's just so fun and she loves everyone in the family 💯! She's only thrown up once and that was the other day, and she was under the weather all day, but as soon as Daddy got home, she had a full rebound. Thankfully, I am retired, so she has me most of the day..
Tbh you should never ever get mixes... Mixes can be dangerous and expensive in vet bills. Mixes have a tendancy to be cheaper yes but they are also faulty as hell. @@damiendsleep yah. Ours will sometimes eat too fast and then throw it up 🤦♀️. Lol. And the no shedding thing is a lie. It depends on the type of fur. I had a Labradoodle for almost 10 years he was my best friend, lost him in November by I honestly feel so lost without my Monroe, He was the most loving dog I’ve had, he was a big dog who acted like he was a lap dog inside and he loved hikes.
I understand how you feel. Ours died two years ago of old age and we all miss him terribly. Yes, he was hard work as a puppy as he had endless energy and bounce but as an adult dog he was the best company. We only realise now how important he was to our family and what a benefit to our health. You can’t find many F1 labradoodles anymore but if I had the chance to get one again, I would go for it!
one thing he forgot to mention was the fact that labradoodles come in small, medium and large sizes so they are not all big. they also have different personalities so yes some might be high energy but there are also labradoodles who prefer to sleep and chill :)
We have to have someone home at all times. Although, he does understand that I am his sole caretaker (mom) and recognizes other family members are his secondary caretakers. He gets very upset when I leave for work. Basically it’s like having a human toddler in a dogs body. His behavior is just that. And we are non stop everyday. So I definitely agree with this video. All around. I am referring to an Australian labradoodle.
We have a labradoodle. Got her as a puppy in 2017 and she’s been great ever since. My dad wanted a lab as he had one before I was born and we went for the doodle aspect as my grandma has dog allergies but does well with poodles. She’s a bundle of joy and who loves everyone and wants nothing more than to play and make you smile We’ve not really had any issues with her like this. When she was younger there were ig some stomach/bathroom issues, but it was more just puppy getting a little excited when you get home
I adopted an adult labradoodle that was neglected by his former owner. I don’t know if or how he was socialized as a puppy. Yes he has energy and I walk him twice a day. His impulse control is not great. But other than that, he is sweet, patient, can stay home alone for 9 hours on those days I sometimes go to the office without trashing the furniture of chewing my shoes, is a bit stressed when we try new things but does his utmost to stay calm and behave. I took him in without thinking it through, but I lucked out to have a dog that is always sweet and 95% well behaved. Love my doodle:
I had a labradoodle that we lost to kidney disease 2 months ago and I could never have asked for a better dog. The breed is so sweet and smart and probably one of the best you can get
Apparently, this guy has no idea what he's talking about. Labradoodles come in in three sizes. Large, medium, and small. They even come in toy sizes. I have a 2 year old medium-sized labradoodle, and I work 8 hours a day 5 days a week, and I leave him home alone when I'm at work. He's the sweetest dog, never barks, and very friendly. He eats normal kibble from walmart, with no special diet. The only thing I would agree with this video is the grooming. I brush him every day and wash him once a month. The best decision I ever made was getting him. Don't listen to this guy. They are great dogs 🐕 ❤️ ♥️
1) Don’t forget to feed them 2) Strong active dogs make great companions 3) They will force you to be active, which is a good thing 4) All creatures need socialization 5) The upfront cost in this video is high, the grooming is well worth the companionship 6) no dogs like to be alone 7) it’s not hard to own a dog
I've had 3. The oldest passed on suddenly at 13 years. The 12 year old is healthy as he's always been and is a beautiful specimen. The new puppy is fantastic. We've purchased only through reputable breeders that do full genetic screenings and health panels and members of the WALA, ALAA & ALCA. We will be getting another puppy in the spring. Bottom line, use only reputable breeders for ANY puppies/breed. I have had poodles all of my life and these dogs are the sweetest most loving dogs I have ever had, with no bad traits. Haters gotta hate
I have a labradoodle and she's an absolutely amazing dog. Listens really well and picks up on stuff fast. I haven't had any problems with her but if all labradoodles are half as good as mine I highly recommend a labradoodle.
@@hlessiavedon Dog trainer of 30 years told me labradoodles are one of the dumbest dog ever. Training each at 6 months old the labradoodles are about 2 months of training that the German shepherd is at 2 weeks.
@rolltide9547 they aren't dumb. They are obstinate and get bored easily. You can not train them at your pace. You have to move at theirs, or you won't get anywhere. They get that from the poodle, which is widely regarded as the second smartest breed.
Just adopted one to be my bird dog buddy. He just went from a crate to 8 acres to run on and a covered screened porch with his own bed. Great dog so far
This video should not be taken seriously. Every one of these reasons can be made for all breeds especially working dogs, pure bred or mixed. All breeds have genetic predispositions to disease. Behavioral issues are not the dogs problem but the owners in 99.99% of cases. Any dog can be an amazing companion if socialized well and trained consistently. If you want a pet get a gold fish if you want a campion get a dog.
My son has 2 Labradoodle's. Best dogs ever !!! Period. They are both perfectly happy to spend the day snoozing in the office with the minimum of exercise. Come the weekend they love a good 2 hour hike whatever the weather. Very easy going dogs. Just raise them properly..
I was minding my sons labradoodle for the weekend , For Sunday dinner I cooked a ribeye roast 2 kg…sliced it put it in the gravy, went to the toilet came back down I thought the wife moved it into microwave or something, well you guessed it the big fooker ate the lot off the worktop..nothing wrong with its stomach.PS it wasn’t the last either.
My labradoodle has never had a stomach problem in the 4 years we’ve had him since a puppy. He’s on raw, decided he only wanted one meal a day. I’m strict on washing his bowl after his meal (some people don’t, or leave the food left for next day which is a no when on raw). He’s a loving dog and mainly well behaved except when a bitch on heat in the village, then he pulls on the lead. We can leave him at home for up to 3 house. Not often but he’s happy with Classic fm on the radio for company. He’s the best boy we’ve ever had. I now groom him myself as his groomer retired and taught me how to do it, bless her. Love my dog.
We just rescued one a months ago from a lady that saved him from being left abandoned at a dog park. He was a mess and we didn’t even know what kind of dog he was til we saw a comment from the post about him. They said he looks like a doodle. I had to look that up because I don’t know much about dog breeds or mixes. I have 2 cats and we also have a yorkie that is almost 11 years old. We went to meet the lady that had him and decided to bring him home with us to clean them up and decide if you wanted to keep him as ours. We shaved him gave him a shower he slept on the floor next to our bed that same night. We decided to keep him the next day and my son named him ,Smokey. Me to come to the vet in the next week and found out he is only about 16 months old .We then made the appointment to get him neutered and his shots taken care of. He has been the most sweetest fun loving dog and we couldn’t e happier. He gets along with our other pets and plays with them. ❤ I’m so happy my husband responded to that post that morning.
Okay, so I have a labradoodle and she is adorable and fluffy as heck also, I know that other people have their opinions and stuffs but you can’t control others to not get a labradoodle, everyone is different and they have their own choices.
If you get a Labradoodle, you’ll be so busy cuddling it you won’t get anything else done. At least that’s what my boyfriend says I’d do if I got a dog 😂
if you don't have a fenced yard, don't get a dog. do not buy a crate. dogs do not belong in jails.do not put your dog on a chain outside. dont use neck collars for walks, use a chest collar. be prepared to hug and kiss your labradoodle frequently during the day. if your dog can't have access to your whole house, don't get a dog. dont feed on a schedule. put out several days worth of food in a big bowl with plenty of water for your dog to decide when to eat and how much. let your dog outside to run inside your fence once every hour or two. go out there yourself at least some of the times to sit and enjoy or play. make sure you have toys to prevent chewing of valuables, i.e. shoes, electric cords, any small objects.
I have had my labdood for 3 years now. The only thing I can confirm here is....... they need to run at least 3 times a week. And I mean straight line sprinting. You have to walk them or give them freedom to run. Awesome animals though. Mine loves people and other pets. Oh and I have to admit to grooming.... you can't skip it. I though when getting a labradoodle that didn't shed, I'd have it made, but there is maintenance with the light speed hair growth. Must be groomed otherwise you have tangles. Think you can cut it yourself? I did. But it's such a process and mess to do, it's a pleasure to throw a Hundo plus tip every 6-8 weeks for a groom so I don't have to.
So true my labordoodle has to be brushed and walked like 2 times a day one walk walk and one bike walk. With my labordoodle he needs attention like every 4 mins otherwise he gets sad. Plus I have to hand Feed him BUT I Love him with all my Heart 😀
love that this video isn't like dont get one labradoodles are bad, but its more of a this might not be right for you if you are older, but if you can do this this might be a the perfect dog for you. good video
I have a labradoodle and this doesn’t describe him at all. I got him at 8 weeks old and the only thing that is correct,is the grooming. Everything else applies to all other dogs.
I am petsitting for my neighbor 's labradoodle, Snoopy, and the only issue I'm having is the strength he has when I'm trying to leash walk him. I've had to drop the leash several times to avoid injury. He is extremely strong. He's 18 months old, and has come from two bad homes, so needless to say, he has had no training. I am older, and have problems with my feet, due to former surgeries l, and a broken fibula. I feel bad, because he is a delightful dog, and I'd like to continue caring for him, but don't want to risk another injury.
So I have a 50lb female Labradoodle. Some of the things on this list are a given. Socializing for example… all dogs need to be socialized from early or you’ll get a dog that’s mean. Common sense but I can tell you that my dog has a sensitive stomach. It’s actually what landed me here. She’s on the best foods possible. Kibble, raw, freeze dried raw, wet, cooked and lightly cooked. Every time she catches a bug she refuses to eat the food she was on when sick. So this is true. I have a dog Walker because she loves me so much and is effected negatively when I work. They are so fiercely loyal and loving that when you’re not there they don’t like it. If you work a lot and have to be gone regularly this isn’t the dog for you. Upkeep for their coats is a lot. I groom her every 4 months and I trim in between visits. I wash and brush her myself and it takes two hours. I take pride in my dogs apparent and her well being. They must be brushed regularly especially behind ears, paws and armpits. If you have trouble with this type of work this isn’t the dog for you. They need a strong leader because they are so intelligent. If u aren’t a boss, they’ll walk all over u lol. My dog is my best friend. She’s the best thing to happen to me. She never goes to the washroom in our home unless she’s been sick and couldn’t help it and she knows it’s wrong and I have to smoothed her with love afterwards because she feels bad and embarrassed. These dogs are fantastic dogs but do need a lot of activities and walks so be prepared
I got one as a puppy and a month and half after we brought him home he contracted parvo we freeked well it cost us 2 grand but i stayed at his side giveing all his iv meds when he needed and what i think was so inportant was i made shur he knew we loved him and wanted him to pull through and was told by the vet later was that he thought he never had a chance he only sold us the meds needed was so we could feel we tryed all we could for him
Since a labradoodle is a mix of two breeds you can't say how they are gonna be because you have no idea what traits they will get from each breed 🤷🏼♀️ I have 2 labradoodles. Both have been dna tested and ones 91% poodle and the other is 89% however One is 45lbs poodle shaped, soft curly hair, no shedding, companion dog other is 55lbs shaped like a lab, coarse wavy/curly hair, very light shedding, independent dog. They share the same mom and both had standard poodle dads. Both are very well behaved you can find them laying in the floor asleep most days and they are 2yrs old and 11months. Best dogs I ever had!
I have a 7 month old labradoodle and he is an absolute joy and hasnt so much as chewed a single thing he shouldnt have, all these things exept maybe grooming apply to all dogs. And no sensitive stomach!!
1. Gut training is real. I'd say my labradoodle has a slightly more sensitive stomach than his lab sire. He handles any dog food & most human food just fine. 2. Duh. They eat a lot too. 3. Exercise requirements are similar to labs. Mine was mixed with an English lab vs field lab, which resulted in a relatively even temperament but still has enough energy to be an effective hunter. I have 4 homeschooling kids, so if I skip a day on the walks, it's noticeable but not the end of the world. 4. Don't buy a dog at all if they can't be around kids & dogs sometimes. 5. I got mine for $800. I trim, brush & bathe him myself. By the time puppy vet stuff was done & I had the crate, bowl etc, I was probably a little over $2k. 6. Yes. The labradoodle greeting is epic. No dog should be crated all day. Mine spends several hours crated on Mondays & sticks close to me the rest of the evening. 7. FACTS. They'll love you for being the boss. This is my first dog as an adult. If you're a strong leader, it's not that hard. Consistency, assertiveness & patience are key. So much more to say on that, but no time.
The stomach sensitivity is easily avoidable. Find a decent dog food brand that they can tolerate, find treats they can stomach, and don’t give table scraps.
My dog is 13 years old so healty and we feed him witj organic (real food la carne fruta etc) and also i try to develop his cognitive function to make a better relation. And he is so healty and cute till now
Labradoodles can have high vet costs, especially in the later years of life. They are prone to intervertibral disk disease, and I think hip dysplasia. I read they can have some eye problems too. My labradoodle had IVDD. She was great, but you have to set money aside for them.
It depends....I have concluded there are three outcomes to the cross.....either they look like a Standard Poodle but are uncontrolably hyper.....or they look like short fur covered barrels....or they look like just another Stnadard....which is part of the reasn I have Standard poodles instead. (Standards are also large breed active dogs)
You are wrong labradors are sweet, kind like mine and I would never want one of these videos here if you make fun of my dog, I’ll make sure my XL get onto you close she don’t play about her sister make fun of a Labradoodle again we have some problems🤬Bic##
I don’t get why you would mix a Labrador retriever with a poodle instead of a Labrador and a poodle or a golden retriever and a poodle. It seems that a labradoodle isn’t well defined. Like is it a Labrador and a poodle or a Labrador retriever and a poodle ?
Don't Listen to this! I have two Labradoodle and they are the best! Such a kind, sweet and athletic dog breed. They are very good with little kids and love being around people! ❤🐾
We have two, one's 11 and the other 1.5 years old - they're really good family dogs, but they vary in character. They look gorgeous and are great company ❤
Labrodoodles are protective dont worry they are super nice and they will love you forever and sensitive stomachs thats not true they dont have those problems cause i have never throws up and they may be big but they are kind and kids love energetic and exercise they dont need to socialize alot they cost nahh not true separation anxiety true but you should be with your dog than working or shopping or hanging with friends and 7th they are strong cause they are protective.
My daughters labradoodle both hind legs the crucial ligament went, expensive operation and insurance company’s will only insure 1 leg you have to pay to get second leg done
we have sibling brother sister doodles, they are incredibly loving and smart, but god damn do they grow big! Ours are fine and dont have gut issues once we found a brand of food that agreed with them.
'Don't shed' yep they do big time.. Everyday I brush my doodles after their walks but we still get tumble weeds, as we call it all over the house.. This idea is rubbish..
Red flag immediately on number one: "When you forget to feed"... Don't own a dog, get a cat. It's like saying: OMG, my dog shit on the floor when I forgot this morning... Big surprise... And all the reasons beyond in this video are just: Don't get this dog if you don't wanna take care of it...
2 to 4 thousand dollars? I got my labradadoodle from our local animal shelter! $120
Best money spet

I'm adopting a 1 year old Labradoodle on Thursday. I met her and she seems really sweet and calm. I'm ready to give her all the love.
1) Don’t forget to feed them
2) Strong active dogs make great companions
3) They will force you to be active, which is a good thing
4) All creatures need socialization
5) The upfront cost in this video is high, the grooming is well worth the companionship
6) no dogs like to be alone
7) it’s not hard to own a dog
life is all about perception!
Sensitive stomachs? MY LABRADOODLE ATE A STICK OF BUTTER AND HE WAS FINE
🤣🤣🤣🤣
BUTTER
Thats right my labradoodle ate a whole pack of noodles from a counter and he is fine that was when he was 9 months old and now he is two years old
He also recently some how got to chocolate and was fine
Literally me too
To Mik B. Check out Canadoodles.
I have a 7 month old labrododel and he is so calm
I have a labradoodle and she's an absolutely amazing dog. Listens really well and picks up on stuff fast. I haven't had any problems with her but if all labradoodles are half as good as mine I highly recommend a labradoodle.
Mine has been a pain in the ass
90% of people hate the breed after 18 months.
@TeyoniaaB sounds like your not giving it enough of your time.
It's a joke of a video. All the reasons stated are why people should not own any dog. Get a cat instead...
My son has 2 Labradoodle's. Best dogs ever !!! Period. They are both perfectly happy to spend the day snoozing in the office with the minimum of exercise. Come the weekend they love a good 2 hour hike whatever the weather. Very easy going dogs. Just raise them properly..
I have a Labradoodle- They are kind and sweet 💗
Yes they are
Same. I love my labradoodle.
They are amazing
I have a 2 year old labradoodle and all these points are 100% accurate in my experience. Good job
then u didnt train her well 💀
i have a labradoodle and he’s 6. i am getting another one soon! they are so cute!
We have one and she is by far the BEST DOG. They are patient, loving, well behaved, loyal, great personality, smart and your BEST FRIEND.
I’m picking my baby Friday! The comments are very encouraging I’m excited
I have 2 Doodles, theyre amazing if you have time because theyre extremely intelligent and emotionally complex
I’m getting a MINI labradoodle that why they make them if labradoodles are too big and you can find the one you want for size too
if you don't have a fenced yard, don't get a dog. do not buy a crate. dogs do not belong in jails.do not put your dog on a chain outside. dont use neck collars for walks, use a chest collar. be prepared to hug and kiss your labradoodle frequently during the day. if your dog can't have access to your whole house, don't get a dog. dont feed on a schedule. put out several days worth of food in a big bowl with plenty of water for your dog to decide when to eat and how much. let your dog outside to run inside your fence once every hour or two. go out there yourself at least some of the times to sit and enjoy or play. make sure you have toys to prevent chewing of valuables, i.e. shoes, electric cords, any small objects.
We love Skittles, crazy happy, loony 🤪
I have two labradoodles and they’re amazing dogs. Can’t imagine my life without them. 😊
Plus I have to hand Feed him BUT I Love him with all my Heart 😀
love that this video isn't like dont get one labradoodles are bad,
but its more of a this might not be right for you if you are older, but if you can do this this might be a the perfect dog for you.
good video
Thank you!
@@DogsNowChannel no problem! you earned yourself a new subscriber! keep up the good videos!
We have a doodle and she is the most amazing dog. Loving, smart and funny. We feed her only the best. No junk. Get a doodle
Idk why I got this video in my recommended since I already have a labradoodle 😵
I have a medium labradoodle and It’s the best dog I ever had❤
thats great!
I’m rescuing one, and he’s is such a sweet heart
I got one as a puppy and a month and half after we brought him home he contracted parvo we freeked well it cost us 2 grand but i stayed at his side giveing all his iv meds when he needed and what i think was so inportant was i made shur he knew we loved him and wanted him to pull through and was told by the vet later was that he thought he never had a chance he only sold us the meds needed was so we could feel we tryed all we could for him
I love my labradoodle. She’s perfect in every way. And she’s a medium sized dog with a strong stomach.
Best dog I've ever had!
The only table scraps mine gets is fruits/veggies uncooked
She will follow you around for broccoli or apples
You are wrong labradors are sweet, kind like mine and I would never want one of these videos here if you make fun of my dog, I’ll make sure my
XL get onto you close she don’t play about her sister make fun of a Labradoodle again we have some problems🤬Bic##
I’m picking mine up Sunday!
I have boxer 😂
I think I can handle energy 😊
Have fun!
Labradoodles are awesome ❤
Good thing they're good for autistic people like me!
Best decision I ever made was getting my WALLY! ❤ Love overpowers all!
I love my labradoodle
Mine sheds like crazy. I love her to pieces.
my labradoodle is the sweetest most kind dog i’ve ever met!! don’t let this video scare you, get a labradoodle ❤
If your worried about any size of dog that’s a mix, look for a mini. I have a mini labradoodle and she’s small and only weighs 10 pounds
That’s a good size
They all looked nasty and upkept.
My girl had a couple of poor stomach issues as a puppy but most dogs do.
there's a labradoodle next door to me and it is as loud as fuck!
Bro yesterday a huge labradoodle ran at me luckily it was dark so the dog couldn't see me when i ran somewhere dark
I don’t know about the socialize one even though I do agree on it I think I over socialized my dogs because now they just run away TO socialize
I have a labradoodle and he is not bad, mean, and he hardly never throws up. Don’t judge dogs.
I have mine groomed every 12 weeks. i like going from the puppy cut to the shaggy
Personally I disagree I have a pay labrodoodle and she doesn’t do any of this but anyway just my opinion not gonna stop you :)
I've got a five yr old and he's chill
edit: also he has a good stomach
I wanted to check on my channel because I have five Labradoodles and no one have any problem’s so I don’t know what you’re saying
LOL labradoodles don't shed my ass. Mine sheds like crazy.🤪
Basically if ur planning on being a dog abuser this dog is not for u...literally all these reasons are y I want a Labradoodle
My f1b labradoodle is one of the best dogs I've ever owned.. sooo
What crap…the doodle we have is the best dog we’ve ever had.
Sorry, i already got one and love her to pieces!
Best dog in the world!
I love you dooodle dooooodle dooooosssss ugh so cute
Some shed, some do not
I love labradoodles 😡
'Don't shed' yep they do big time.. Everyday I brush my doodles after their walks but we still get tumble weeds, as we call it all over the house.. This idea is rubbish..
This dude plainly hasn’t had a doodle
You can put your dog on a treadmill to help them too.
Everything he said was all true with labradoodles and getting goldendoodles.
It’s really how you treat your dog. This seems more like your personal opinion.
Red flag immediately on number one: "When you forget to feed"... Don't own a dog, get a cat.
It's like saying: OMG, my dog shit on the floor when I forgot this morning... Big surprise...
And all the reasons beyond in this video are just: Don't get this dog if you don't wanna take care of it...
i thought this video would be about how unethical their breeding is and how wally conron says it’s his biggest regret
I have a labradoodle and she’s the bestest dog ever 😍❤️
Crazy price! Get one from the pound, animal control or rescue
Laberdoole behavior is awesome my raven is well behave love her. No high quality food necessary less vaccine and more love..
