It sounds like the melodies off "Daybreaker" mixed with the production/song writing from "FTTWTE". So an evolution of the bands sound and song writing. The last song with a solo/lead break was "Dead butterflies" btw. Similar post rocky vibey solo too.
I've never really been an Architects fan, but this is the coolest thing I've heard from them. Gives me cinematic proggy post-hardcore vibes like Time, The Valuator. Hope they do more proggy stuff.
@@S0cialCrisis as a person who got into architects through FTTWTE (they’re my fave band now, I’m 17 so I wouldn’t have been able to explore them at the time when their earlier records came out) I actually like a few songs on The Here and Now. Yes it’s not a great album but Year In Year Out/Up And Away is a song I enjoy. Sure it’s not a musical masterpiece but it still slaps imo.
I mean it fits the song but I would hardly call it a proper "solo", just some slight lead work. Which is more than what they usually do I would like to see them actually exploring this direction more
I am glad people are disagreeing. Life would be boring if we all shared the same opinions all the time. Anyone feel free to introduce me to a new song/band with better solos. I am open to new experiences. 🤘
Glad you enjoyed it this album is definitely going to be a fun one. You reacted to "black blood" and "even if you win your still a rat" before there last album released. Now please react to "alpha Omega" from the same album before this one drops!
This is the most fun Architects song ever! I expected a BOM BOM BOM, but the solo fit the song! Not all songs needs to be heavy. Love this video Nik! \m/,
I think everyone likes this a lot more because of the harsh vocals. I’m not sure if anyone really cares how heavy the instrumental is, I think the vocals make the song.
Nah. It's more emotional, it's more catchy, it's not pure cringe (looking at you, Tear Gas), and the solo is just absolute chef's kiss Also, it's not butt rock-y, like When We Were Young. This feels like it could easily be on FTTWTE which, hey, was still a very enjoyable album

Its not that theyre bad, its just for a band that re defined a genre they seem to be putting out safe music that's meant to be plug n play on "octane".
