Join us today as we visit the Pixar Place Hotel to see some of the new things that they have added! We really hope the next time we visit we can show you a tour of the rooms but today we though we would just stop by and see Joe and Bing Bong. We also take you to Downtown Disney to look at merch and dine at Downtown Disney in this Magic Journeys Vlog!

The prime rib looked...okay. You two should go to The Tam O' Shanter! Classic old-school restaurant with awesome prime rib. It was a favorite of Walt Disney, he used to eat there all of the time. See if you can snag Table 31!

Remember when they had that awesome ice skating rink and little village area there where the stage was in Downtown Disney? Maybe they will put that back up now that they have all that space where the stage used to be. That would be cool. I loved that area!

Hot Take: I kinda wish the hotel design didn’t lean so hard into modernism. I LOVE the stained glass installation though! It would have been great to have more designs like that in the hotel. It could do with a bit more whimsy and detailing imo. And more color, and not in the lazy colored lights reflected against a white wall way… like, dang, every 19 year old Twitch streamer beat Disney to THAT idea! 😂
(More seriously, I think it’s a trend that’s going to look super dated in like… less than 10 years. It’s the Gen Z equivalent of the Millennial “fairy lights everywhere” trend.)
I have strong opinions about architecture and interior design though, so I probably feel more dramatically about it than most people. 😅

I'm so excited Janelle is getting into photography! Remember It's all about the light! If it is super sunny find a shady spot and stand in the shade for a nice soft picture. If there is a window make sure you are facing the window for the best light. If you need any tips I'm happy to help!😊

I was there in September for a week and the 2nd day I ate at Earl tavern and it became my home…lol…I would go in the morning for a couple bloody Mary’s and back at dinner…I was feeling like Norm from cheers…workers knew my name. Be there last week of February, hopefully they will still be open before the destruction

I saw on a vlog post from WDWNT that the rooms have a real working Luxo Jr. Lamp in each room! Disney is hugely missing out by not selling these in the store! (FYI : Luxo is a decades-old real brand of high-end quality lamps, so Disney needs to partner with them!)

For the Bsweets, The Ube Cake and Cheesecake were my favorites. Strangely enough, the pineapple whip cheesecake was my least favorite one and I thought I’d like it the most.

So, going back to the Pixar Hotel… I would love some information on how you get from the hotel to Downtown Disney/Disneyland and vice versa. ???? You mentioned the parking being expensive, but does the tram or monorail go to the hotel? Or shuttle? Or is the only option to walk and is it convenient? Thank you!!
