That would have been fantastic! I got to see him once. He played at the Riverboat Tall Stacks Festival on the Ohio River. He was something else! A great thing about it was I saw 4 days of music for about $7.50 total. That year I saw Ricky, Ralph Stanley, Roseanna Cash, Blind Boys of Ala, John Mayall, Keb Mo & Dr. John. (+ more) For a total of less than $10.They don't have the Festival anymore. Should have charged more! I miss it. John Hartford used to visit.Your comment makes nice memories! Thx.
Clutching Evolved I'm just over across the river. Darned good. (Got a quarter jar for grandkids). Thx 4 listening, Moppet Ck out my Bluegrass & Fast Fiddle Playlists if you ever have the time. Bet you'd like much of it. :)
Thank you for your info. I will ck and add. It wasn't on my cover. If you click on Show More, I list the band but Marc wasn't listed.Thanks. I will research and add. My best, Moppet
@jaquenuno all right! I love it and also love that I can find the Celtic beginnings of it. Some of the chords are exactly the same, but with different instruments and timing. Guess you didn't need an introduction speech. I am sorry for that! Hope all is well. My best to you, Barbara
Pretty nice, huh? If you like fast bluegrass you can type that in on my page in Search Channel area. If you like Bluegrass, fiddle, Ricky Skaggs, Blues, Celtic, any group, cd, song, instrument, mountain music (lots of Tim O'Brien), Civil War, Appalachian, Native American. I tag everything I can think of. I do usually put fast bluegrass in my tags if you like that. It will show the vids for each time you type in something. Have fun with the music if you try it. Appreciate you commenting, Moppet
@rocmaven I bet you are in for a show and a half...plus a great time! I'd love to hear how it goes. I'm jealous! I'd love to hear them do 'Get Up John' in person. Great, great musicians! Let me know how it goes, if you have time. My best, Barbara
Hey, the music is here for everyone. So glad you enjoyed this. If you like bluegrass (or any type music; mountain, old timey, Celtic, Native American, Blues, artist, cd, song) type it in "Search Channel" on my Page. You will get to see what I have online. If you like fast bluegrass, you can type that in. I tag everything I can think of! Have fun if you play around with the music. My best, Moppet
bigroy38 I want to thank you for listening and taking the time to comment. I do have to say that I believe you've left one of the most original comments I've had. Thanks so much. My best to you, Moppet
@HillbillyProduction1 ain't it though? As they would say in Carolina, "This song is a mess!" of course meaning that as a compliment. Somebody pulling the strings at 3:38 is a nice touch I'm not familiar with. This goes up against any great rock solo as far as I'm concerned and I love rock!. I just like good music. Come back anytime. Moppet (Barbara)
I used to jam out to this in my car, one of the few places where I could crank up the volume. Every player on this is a virtuoso
I'm a life long rocker and metal head. First time I heard this... DAMN!! My jaw hit the ground. My my that little country boy can play!
This jam has carried me home thru rush hour traffic many a day!
chobeeboy44

Ricky Skaggs raised on his music. My dad plays mandolin. Me banjo. Ricky is the king of mandolin imo
