Latocha had said herself why the album didn’t come out on unsung. Jermaine ended up leaving Sony or the label and her album ended up getting shelved. I am sick of her continuing to blame kandi for everything!!!!

What was clear is he said Kandi had no parts in her album coming out. Tocha will hear this, and still keep up the foolishness because she’s kept up with this lie for decades and will hurt her pride to say she was wrong.

Kandi said Tocha is trying to rewrite history. She wants to see herself as the hero of her story which Kandi is the villain in her story. But everyone knows Tocha is the villain and she doesn’t want to admit that she is a toxic person who doesn’t acknowledge others feelings about her and how she treats people….she is a true narcissistic person

Albums being shelved is extremely common for recording artists if you watch Unsung and behind the music. Record labels revamp, producers move on and the artists that they were working with are left by the way side.
He absolutely remember. Men tend to act different when they're romantically involved with the artist.
Tocha was paranoid about Kandi orchestrating the album's shelving because Tocha knew how she'd treated Kandi all of those years during Xscape's heyday. That was her own guilt making her imagination run wild. I'm sure her honest, upstanding husband, Rocky, probably made her think that as well. That was over two decades ago. Therefore, if Tocha were destined for solo stardom, it would have happened by now with or without Kandi's input.
Many artists are signed and end up on the shelf. It's a lot more common than people think. I believe Jermaine signed Tocha to undermine the group itself and their ability to leverage the success of their first 2 albums for better terms, more money and points.

Also when he mentioned the SoSo def anniversary show, he said only Tocha and Tamika showed up and the other 2 didn't. He said a mouthful with that response.
People are stuck where they want to be stuck. If they hate Kandi, anything negative they will latch on to in order to prove their rational. It is what it is. A good example is when Kandi and Tiny didn't show up to the anniversary show. They caught COVID. Of course they wouldn't be able to make that show. In fact, Kandi said they were on the way to go to that show but their COVID test results came back positive. Kandi did however say that they had to make up the shows that they missed because they got paid for those shows. Somehow people selectively don't hear a lot of things. I'm sure Kandi has gotten immune to the hate but I can imagine it is still hurtful, as well.

It makes sense that he may not remember, he works with tons of other artists and also had his own solo career at that time, not to mention the album being shelved happened close to 25 years ago
He probably don’t remember but I’m going guess it got shelved for the same reason people are side eyeing Tocha now her old nasty attitude and crooked husband of hers. Kandi didn’t have the power that she has now to get her album shelved.

In Xscapes Unsung Latocha herself said her album was shelved when the label was transitioning. It fell through the cracks like many albums. Kandi was signed to a different record label.

This!! Her solo work would not have been comparable to the female artists that were out at the time she finished her album. The embarrassment of that album potentially selling nothing would've been another thing she would've blamed on someone else instead of using her knowledge of the industry to see what she was up against.

I’ve always thought xscape was a very mediocre group that got lucky. They couldn’t handle SWV, En Vogue, & Destiny’s Child vocally and damn sure couldn’t handle Spice Girls, TLC, & Destiny’s Child commercially.
