    for 3 decades PAUL RISER was Motown's TOP Music Arranger. 1960's, 70's. up until the early 80's when he left.

    I remember being around 16 or 17 with my dad ( Engineer Barney Perkins) in the studio at Motown, and McKinley walks in and the banter begins... "Hey Barney, man how you doin'?" Dad, "Man, ain't nothin' going on but the rent!" Mr. McKinley, "Shirley (Jones of the Jones Girls) is having something at the house, you, Charlie and the kids are welcome." Dad: "Alright, we'll come." .....
