My favorite band, underrated and still making music.

Always loved this song. Bought the CD when it came out. I even had the T-Shirt! Good stuff.

Great post Familycat. Been a fan since way back, but I don't remember their videos being shown much here in Scotland. Beautiful song, and a nice vid.

I love 90s music too but there is actually some pretty great stuff out right now. th-cam.com/video/s7tnTucP1UM/w-d-xo.html Snail Mail actually reminds me of Madder Rose
Also the intro in this song by Better Oblivion Community Center gives me The Cure vibes

I think its more than just the music from the early and mid 90s, it was the whole "feel" of the times. And music like this, Lush, Ride, and for me - The Ocean Blue, Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Sundays and Lots of others made such gorgeous songs that captured the simplicity and beauty of the times... times that won't ever exist again regardless of modern good music. There are def some good bands out there today... but it just ain't the 90s anymore... such is life... 😔

Two comments mention the Sunday’s. 🥰 Madder Rose was up there for me. This time was amazing for music. I know people think the 60s were amazing but the diversity in style, songwriting, and skill (yes!) we’re far broader. Perhaps the broadest ever.
