I love this voice. It has something special, something unique, velvet colour and exciting vibrato making it so different from other sopranos. When I discovered Joyce El-Khoury singing in duos with Michael Spyres on his CD I have fallen in love. With this dark, musky voice. It was so mad to fly through entire Europe to Llandudno to see and hear her live in Roberto Devereux just when first COVID started. But it was worthy of that so much. Thanks for this and please, keep singing in Europe to make it easier to reach your performances around!
OMG! This brings tears to my eyes. This soprano is one of a kind! One of those I thought I would never find again. I will search more of her work and follow her. The rest of the ensemble, including Maestro Muti, is just absolutely magnificent as well. I wish I could buy this Requiem in high resolution and take it all in. Since it's hard to see this quality of musicians live, where I live. Thank you!

These masterpieces are not definitely designed for any voice ….. it has to be fit for purpose and I am completely sure this soprano perfectly fits for the song , which is a praying
Gorgeous singing and playing all around. I assume the chorus was in boxes because of the pandemic. Although visually interesting, they needed more instruction to follow the conductor’s beat because the slight delay they were hearing due to the distance created a few points of errant coordination with the orchestra and soprano. It unfortunately marred an otherwise outstanding performance.
