I still don't get how Patrick Mahomes with the better defense in the game is the underdog in the super bowl. Not to mention the Chiefs have a clutch veteran kicker compared to a rookie that has missed kicks in both games for the niners. It's just crazy. The best QB in the league by far with the best defense standing should be favored.

100 percent! They dominated even though the score doesn’t show it. Nick is correct about the game managing. If you’ve watched the chiefs you’d see they’ve been doing that for a while. Go crazy offensively in the first half and then manage the game and pull the win out with the defense. It’s been working.

100% agree with this. Mahomes and Kelce play for the wins and the team. Their records are just gravy. Mahomes matured so much this season…he really learned he doesn’t have to be the playmaker. They started winning when they let the offensive producers build enough lead while the defense snuffed out their opponents. Maestros of their craft.
Brady did the same thing. If the Patriots had a 10 point lead or more he would not take a chance throwing the football with a defender near but played super conservative and trust the defense. Mahomes was not shut down in the 2nd half. Comical
And that’s what Josh Allen needs to learn in order to get there. He’s amazing and even as a Chiefs fan myself I love Allen. But he has to learn that to get past the Chiefs.

I think the narrative is going to be Purdy is quite mediocre compared to Mahomes, which is true. That doesn't take away from the fact that he is doing really well for where he was drafted.
I am a HUGE Chiefs fan, and I can even see that Purdy is a MUCH MUCH BETTER Quarterback than both Colin and Nick give him credit for.
Am I still rooting for my Chiefs, ABSOLUTELY!
However, I will not be mad if the 49ers win the Super Bowl, because if they win, they obviously have earned it, and I have a huge amount of love and respect for the 49ers, with the legacy they have.

Purdy is not small. He's 6'-1" and weighs 220. He's gained ten pounds of muscle since college. And not only that, he's fast. He ran a 1.55 in the ten yard dash at the NFL combine. By comparison, Brandon Aiyuk ran a 1.52. Purdy ran only a 4.84 in the 40 and Aiyuk ran a 4.4, but when you are scrambling that initial burst is what gets you out in the open.
A lot of people don't like Purdy because he's white and a devout Christian. They are treating him the same way they used to treat Tim Tebow for the same reasons. But he is a lot better quarterback that Tebow was. He's ranked number 1 in average yards per completion. And he has a strong accurate arm but can throw with touch like Mahomes.

I like Purdy I think he is great and he may become elite. @@WizzRacing I don't have any issue with him picking Kansas for winning the AFC, my point above is showing their contradictions to avoid saying Purdy looks to be a good QB. So I used the example of Dallas, allegedly for Nick both Dallas and Dak were way better than 49ers and Purdy, and they did nothing so Purdy deserves a lot of credit for what is doing, he is operating at a high level.
Another example, they are talking about the "lucky" throw that Purdy did that required a one-hand catch from his receiver, for them that was a bad play, however mahomes hours earlier did the same throw that required Kelce to fully stretch to catch it, but that play was brilliant.
So, they are continuesly changing the criteria to give Purdy credit, coming from behind ✔️, bad weather ✔️, missing a key player ✔️, double digits deficit ✔️, and now it's not enough, even if they win the SB would be because he was handed a Mercedes but if they lose it would be because of him.
So my point was that.

Thanks for sharing. Purdy is why 9ers will win the Super Bowl. This kid's football IQ is off the charts. Specifically, his decision-making process. Sure, it takes him a half to get it. But second half of any ball game is his. And the Chiefs will not be ahead far enough for KC to win and endure the 2nd half of Purdy pounding. Plus, the 9ers team is far superior to the chiefs this year. 9ers are more complete, rounded, and balanced. I like Mahomes, but Mahomes magic is going to run out. This Super Bowl, 9ers are going to win. By 10+. Purdy is potentially the next Brady. Only way Chiefs win is if Purdy gets hurt, if Purdy goes down. Purdy's unlike any other qback today. He makes correct in-play decisions, doesn't panic, doesn't make catastrophic mistakes. He may fall, but he doesn't lose his confidence in himself and his team. But most importantly doesn't lose it in himself. The best thing about Purdy is he doesn't have an ego or a chip on his shoulder. He doesn't feel he has anything to lose or prove because he's Mr. Irrelevant. That doesn't matter to him. He just goes out and plays. He just bees himself. And he knows his ability and IQ like no one else does. And that's all that matters to him, because that's all that does matter. His team knows him and knows who he is and what he can do. All this is why he's dangerous. I feel for Reid and the Chiefs. It is impossible to prep for a qback mind like Purdy's because he makes the right decisions during the play. Reid the and the Chiefs defense could have the right and perfect D called, but Purdy will masterfully dissect it like he did the Lions. And the Lions D was no slouch. That's what makes Purdy and the Niners dangerous. Plus, the Niners individual skill talent is exception and better than the Chiefs and key positions. The only thing the Chiefs can do to survive and compete is have and execute an exceptional offensive game plan and limit number of touches Purdy has. Otherwise, Chiefs are in trouble. Chiefs can't make any mistakes. Niners can cause they'll have the ability to recover. Forgot one thing. Purdy's got wicked confidence because he's insanely accurate with his passes when and where he decides to throw. He's the epitome of throwing guys open, a great timing passer. His anticipation is off the charts because of the team's chemistry. This will be the Niners 1st Super Bowl win since Young. It's gonna be great.

I agree with Nick. Chiefs were playing the long game, taking time off the clock, long drives etc. I mean how many punts did Richie James field within their own 10. Once Chiefs got the lead, Baltimore panicked.
Late take but, I think Mahomes can easily be the greatest and potentially get to 7 rings in a shorter span. My only thing is I don’t want to crown him the goat yet. People didn’t crown Brady till he got to 5 and people still had questions until he won in Tampa. Not saying we have to subject Patrick to the same, but I think we should wait till he gets a little further in his career.

Patrick is playing like people think Brock plays.
And his supposedly brilliant 2nd half was full of a lot - and I mean a LOT - of 3 and outs. The Ravens just couldn't capitalize. The Ravens D did their job. The MVP of the league should be able to put up at least 18 points in the biggest game of his life.
