    Really interesting. I studied music at a school in Western MA as well and played a lot of high-energy stuff. That was just kinda the vibe. Nowadays I'm fluttering between listening to extremely fast music and various types of intonation in slower music - hence Kali Malone! It is a shift in energy.

    SIMP COMMENT ALERT: The guitar player in a ~grindcore band i’m in was friends with her in college in denver. he said they played music together and kissed once 😮 i was so blown away when he told me that after knowing him for 2 years
    (this same guitarist kissed me once sooo…)

    SHE straight up STOLE Ellen Arkbro’s style. She was not inspired by it. She straight up stole it. Compositional style, instrumentation. Everything. Imagine helping someone arise as they straight up highjack your style and sell it as theirs presenting themselves as the ones who came up w it.
