I remember these episodes, so exciting! This was when PD & Med were still great! Jay here working perfectly with Voight, yet around season 7 they changed it and made them fight - this makes no sense! I will always hate how they ended Jay's arc, and how they decided to go by the conflict route in his relationship with Voight in later seasons, which again, made no sense! Jay & Voight were on the path to becoming closer, and they worked perfectly together for the longest time, then the nonsense season 7 happened! Jay deserved so much better from these writers, and Jesse who played Jay so amazingly well all those years, deserved better too! Despite the stupid ending of his storyline and stupid last three seasons, Jay will always be my fav!

Because they know him and don't suspect him, sending an undercover would take a lot of time to establish a relationship.
