Great list and breakdown Dan. We've always had similar opinions on these lists.
I COMPLETELY agree with everything you said - from 6th place and higher - but only because I didn't pickup a lot of your lower rankings. Maggot deserved some spot light, he was a great deep-cut and they definitely put the effort into his design/execution. Unfortunately your #1 of 2022 still has not hit us Yankees in 2023 so I'll have to take your word for it but I'm pretty sure you're right on the money. Voice sounds great btw!

Great list Dan! What an amazing 20th anniversary for Legends. To see marquee heros like Spidey, Captain America, Black Panther and Daredevil get some of their best versions yet is hard to believe in the same year. The new Vulcan and Shriek bucks are launching Legends to new heights! This year is going to be a treat for X-Men and others Legends!

Great list. You definitely explained why you placed them the way you did and your criteria for making the list is perfect. I would probably have mine as similar except for two figures that I have less than zero interest in. Unibrow Thor will never make it into my collection. Never. I hate the concept of an Asgardian God being a herold. And Maggot. I bought him for the baf part and sold him afterwards without ever taking him out of the package.
Spiral is definitely the best of the year. So glad I have her.

The only Marvel Legends figure I bought this year is Model 70 Iron Man so he has to be my number 1.
I think out of all that's been revealed for 2023, so far Spiral would be my Top ML of the year for this year, since we weren't lucky enough to get her yet in the States. As for 2022, my Top 10 in no particular order Mojo, Capt. America 20th Anniversary, Spider-Man RYV, Thor Herald of Galactus, Maggott, Ben Reilly Spider-Man, Rictor, Toad, Lizard, and Quake/Maria Hill. Had to go with ones that didn't have a lot of re-use, unique characters, and accessories. I had to bump Daredevil for Spider-Man RYV because Spidey obviously has more detail.
Glad you didn't include the VHS line 'cus it wouldn't be fair to Jubilee to top another Top 10 list! 🤣

I like how you said what are you waiting for and told us to get the lizard but sadly for me in the us walmart sucks and i can't get it buy I will be able to get him from bigbangcomics with that sweet international shipping
Pretty fair list. Only one I’d personally change is knull. He’s huge, he’s pinless, he’s all uniquely sculpted, he has excellent paint work with unnecessary details like wash in his hair, and he comes with two heads and an awesome sword. I’d definitely have him in the top 10 but at least he made runner up.
I missed out on the lizard, every day I check to see if it's back and affordable, and unfortunately it never is. My single greatest regret of a figure that I didn't get this year (the next closest is the Venom from the three pack, but I have no care whatsoever for symbiotes other than Venom so it's just not worth it for me)
Don't give up. I found one that had been returned to Walmart about two weeks ago now.
Maggot?? No Morph, Speedball, Quasar or Firelord.....
Speedball is one of the worst releases of the year.
Morph is VHS so is excluded and yes Maggot for me is a better figure and representation of that character then the others you listed, for me personally not saying anyone else can feel different just abit of fun 🙏🏻

Idk that id call anything that Marvel Legens does “innovative.” Even amongst the other Hasbro 6 inch lines, it’s on the lower end of innovation in terms of paint, articulation, and accessories.

Wait…hold on…isn’t Spiral technically a 2023 release? Don’t get me wrong, I think she’s the best in your list, but I thought her release date was Jan 2023…I know Europe gets figures before the U.S., but I still thought Hasbro street dates are what we base the release year on…yes, no?
I comfirmed with the Marvel team the X-Men retro wave was 100% intended as the last wave of 2022. Unfortunately there has been delays but that whole wave is definitely considered as 2022 figures as per Hasbro/Marvel calendar 🙏🏻
