Very nice training video. You went through the full exercise and recorded everything. It's not usual to see a full design from beginning to end including even optimization and all setups. Yes, of course it will work but you need to take care while using ADS Smith Chart tool and enter complex conjugate of Zs while doing so as that is what it expects and you can notice * sign with Zs. My style is to use Zs=50Ohm and then simply rotate the O/P matching network but it will work the way you want...😊
I have done the simulation using this same technique but I wanted to calculate also S12 and S21 whereas we can only get S11 and S22 by this method. how can I calculate S12 and S21 in this same impedance matching technique? kindly consider this.
The way I have shown here, it doesn't show the transmission response. If you want to see that then I would recommend to use S2P file instead of Z2P_Eqn block then you would be able to see all 4 S-Parameter terms
If you replace the Z2P with the real transistor, is there going to be any change in the process, for example placing it's layout during total schematic simulation
Not sure what do you intend to ask in your question. You can simply define the required complex impedance by specifying needed in Z e.g., Z=20+j*10 etc
@@jeanjean8658 AHAHA, finally i found it!! The component palette is displayed by default. If you close the component palette in the Smith Chart Utility window, right-click on the toolbar and select Palette to display it again.
