I have played and sung this song probably a thousand times. But I’ve never captured the true feel of it like this lead player did. And the people who give this a thumbs down are just lonely, miserable people who can’t even tune a low E string. Sad.
Appreciate your honesty and giving credit to the lead player as I know for a fact that thumbs down are usually from envious musicians who think they could do better.
Are you referring to the bass player or the leade guitar player. Because from where i sit, the bass player is flowing w emotion than the lead in this case. Whoaa!
As a college educated musician of about 30 years of playing...I gotta say..these guys are really impressive.. difficult songs and these guys nail them...you'd be hard pressed to distinguish the original from the cover... extremely impressive guys.
You'll probably see more of these talents popping up all over the place because of the instruments and equipment getting cheaper and accessible, especially the Chinese made ones.
I'm blown away at the talent of these guys, particularly the guy singing and playing the lead. How he was able to simultaneously play and sing those parts so perfectly is insane. And oh yeah he's usually on keyboard, check out the incredible job he does on A Day In The Life, and Strawberry Fields. So incredible.

I was a drummer in a band in the 60's(thanks John,George,Paul and Ringo) 1st thing we agreed on NEVER DO A BEATLES SONG! We knew we could NOT do them Justice. These gentleman DO THEM JUSTICE and then some!!
It's not so easy to capture the aura of the beetles but for gods sake to be able to induce goosebumps like the original songs is another level. I hope you all know what I mean. George Harrison is looking down listening to the guitar weep. And I'm sure smiling

I’m sure many of you know this, but for those that don’t, these guys have a remarkable ability to record live. This would’ve had to’ve been done in several takes in a studio in order to sound this polished. In addition to their raw musical talent, they’re spectacular studio musicians.
Beyond impressive performance. As a musician, I'm in awe of their output. If you're not, you don't understand how difficult it is to produce something like this. Well done, lads!

Reno is doing a very difficult job by playing Ringos parts and playing them to perfection … as a drummer I should know! .. the four of them are perfect as a unit … I think it's their youngest brother who joins them now and then for extra keyboard work … he doesn't seem to join them live though … not sure of his name or age but he's also a talented young guy x

Best cover of this song I've ever heard. Having worked for WEA (Warner-Elektra-Atlantic) a part of WMG for quite a few years, I've heard a lot of covers being submitted and this is without a doubt in my mind, one of the best. I hope these guys have a good manager that will really push and promote them.
These fellows are indeed very talented & sound great but come on, one of the best? I'm not beating these guys up. They cover a wide range of music genres & always pull it off. It's just that in the larger scheme of things where reality exists, the Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff lynne ensemble performed the end-all-be-all version of this song. Especially Prince's mind numbing solo for the ages. It was almost a spiritual experience. Thumbs up for this video & your comment though.

A Filipino who grew up with the Beatles' songs from the 60s-70s. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is definitely one of my favorites. I asked my grandson to load one version of the song without telling me whose, then listened to it with eyes closed. Did the same with the other one. Must admit my hearing is not as sharp as way back then, but felt confident it's good enough to tell the copy from the real McCoy. I was wrong by a mile! "Pretty close" was the best I could come up. Whichever the REO (cover) version is, the instrumental rendition especially the lead guitar and the vocals are quite impressive. Couldn't even detect a slight accent of Taglish. Great job, boys! I just love how they sing and play so effortlessly. I'm an old man and I don't know about you guys but I think the reason why listening and watching these Classic Rock cover artists is such a joy for me is because most of the original bands have either retired or passed on to Rock 'N Roll heaven and this is one way of sort of rediscovering their music once more especially by such talented guys like the REO brothers. LUID! By the way, I think they get a few thumbs down because some people are such stickler for originality that they refuse to recognize music however good it is if it's not performed by the artists who wrote and or originally performed and popularized the songs.

An absolute gem. The rhythm and tone were pure Beatles. Many covers miss the mark. This song has special a meaning if you can feel the words.

A Filipino who grew up with the Beatles' songs from the 60s-70s. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is definitely one of my favorites.
I asked my grandson to load one version of the song without telling me whose, then listened to it with eyes closed. Did the same with the other one. Must admit my hearing is not as sharp as way back then, but felt confident it's good enough to tell the copy from the real McCoy. I was wrong by a mile! "Pretty close" was the best I could come up. Whichever the REO (cover) version is, the instrumental rendition especially the lead guitar and the vocals are quite impressive. Couldn't even detect a slight accent of Taglish. Great job, boys! I can't believe how great these brothers are. I grew up listening to the Beatles and The REO brothers sound exactly like them. I grew up in Hawaii and a 3rd generation Filipino who does not speak Tagalog, Ilocano or Visayan and I hardly can speak english!! lol But I am a proud Hawaiian Filipino!!! I'm an old man and I don't know about you guys but I think the reason why listening and watching these Classic Rock cover artists is such a joy for me is because most of the original bands have either retired or passed on to Rock 'N Roll heaven and this is one way of sort of rediscovering their music once more especially by such talented guys like the REO brothers.
