I can relate to Arlin’s anger. On my first Hollow Knight play through, Traitor Lord was my dragon. Incredibly difficult, has a practically unavoidable move that covers the stage, and you get sent back such a long ways away when you die. I don’t know if Traitor Lord is considered hard anymore, but personally, he’s the bane of my existence.
The thing is, with this boss, you're supposed to hide behind those pillars when he does the unavoidable chin move. *edit* correction, you're supposed to attack the pillar so that it lands on the Dragon's head. I misremembered how it went.
By the way, the "unavoidable chin move" is actually quite avoidable. You just boost forward when you get past the enemies so the dragon doesn't have time to attack. Also I beat this game 100% twice when I was like twelve.

He rejects the shield because he doesn't want to use it, and would rather yell and rant and rave and blame the game rather than eat crow and just use the damned shield. When you put him behind the wheel of a game where he likes all the core mechanics, like Shovel Knight, he proves himself a pretty solid gamer.
I know Arin lost his shit with Battle Kid, but THIS is just like Dan said "black hatred" You cannot watch this without feeling that pure hatred and that is pure hilarity
