I like the live action route for Minecraft specifically because it tries to go for something that could be realistic. As long as they make it sort of medieval themed then it’s good. I always think about how we know what a skeleton would look like un-blockified but not a creeper, blaze, or shulker. If the movie went with no blocks then it would probably be good but from those set pictures things aren’t looking great…
I have a good story for the Minecraft movie, but kept as a story mode adaptation since many people haven’t played the original games. But hear me out. A player who has a copy of Minecraft Story Mode starts playing the game until suddenly, the person gets sucked into the screen (like in an obscure show Captain N The Game Master) and then comes out of a portal (similar to the rings from the sonic movies) and lands in some water (like in Sonic X) near Jesses Treehouse where Jesse and Jessica hangs out with their friends (Olivia and Axel) and their pet pig. Upon hearing the splash, Jesse climbs down and spots the player in the water and fetches it out with a fishing rod and then explains to the person that it is now in the MCSM world and introduces himself and then takes it back up and everyone else introduces themselves. Later on, they meet Petra and Lukas at the building competition. Skipping to the end, after Jesse,Jessica and their friends are now the new order of the stone, the player, now back in the real world, watches them and the new order winks at the player (referencing the cancelled sonic movie, wonders of the world (which sonic winks at josh)) and the player winks back. The beginning and ending is in live-action, but the rest is in CGI Animation

I actually think Minecraft live 2024 will give more stuff on the movie because the film is coming in 2025
If they don't do it this year, they HAVE to next year
