What a great video! It makes me think of that sort of "memory inspection device" where you could explore old memories from all angles on Cyberpunk 2077
I'm really excited for quality volumetric video to reach the consumer level. One interesting app I have is Record3D for iPhone 12 Pro. Because of the Lidar sensor, it can record point-cloud data in real time, and let you shift perspective as you play it back. However, because it only has one angle, the data is quite messy as soon as you change perspective. Still, you can see what is close to the camera and what is further way, so depth data is well represented, even if additional textures and hidden details are missing. That's why I think we need an array. I'd like to see this app add a feature that lets you pair up with other iPhones, and syncing the data into one volumetric video. By having additional viewpoints, it could significantly increase the amount of detail seen when a viewer moves through the scene. I think we're a ways off from this becoming a reality, but I'm glad it's developing a lot in the professional sphere as well. I'd love to see a blockbuster movie released in VR one day. That Google Lightfield video seems extremely promising on that front.
Thanks for your quality input and informative, yet an engaging video on volumetric capture technology. I'm actually working on a short video about Neil's Demonic and needed to understand it before representing. I'll be sure to link your video in the description of my shorts. I'm not a big TH-camr but I believe it's the least I can do for your efforts.
Interesting, i assume if we could integrate this technology with a smoke bomb we could technically see AND disable our enemies vision. Hmmm, hmmm. Keep up the good work my A.I. friend
This is up-to-date and current on this topic/subject matter.
Thank you and have a good one.

Cool Video. Thanks. How do you describe Volumetric Video in one sentence.
The ability to record a video, and then use that as a 3D model.
@@Kooboto To be able to move freely within a moving video, and to see that video from whatever perspective you move to.
