For the smokers who feel attacked about the comment at 0:54 on joints making you lazy - This message is intended for those who smoke joints but aren't aware of the emotional underpinnings of why they do it. There are plenty of smokers who smoke the green which can perpetuate their laziness - without admitting it or realising it. There are also plenty of smokers who are aware and simply enjoy it. Cannabis is neither good or bad. It simply is. There may have been a better way to communicate this in the video, so thank you for your understanding! -Brandon

Just stopped by (having been suggested this video) to let you know there is no such thing as a law of human nature. Apart from conscience, we are programmable meat bags. We generally base our opinions/beliefs/ways of life on what we see other people do. Perceptions you resonate with become part of you. Having said that, you can quite easily break out of that trap and become your own person. Still being swayed by outside influences, but carefully chosen influences. Eclectic knowledge results in freedom of thought.
Cannabis is actually the companion plant to the human being. Saying it's neither good or bad shows your ignorance.
If you can't squeeze a shitty explanation into a video you should maybe reconsider making them.
Ps. I realise your pot smoking backtrack was just that based on responses to your shitty opinion piece

      That's just the problem, though.
'Fun', by default, is not only easy... it takes no education in order to exhibit and experience it.
Being 'realistic' and doing the WORK which can (possibly/plausibly) lead to opportunities to have fun... that takes Reflection, deduction, imagination, self-assessment, etc.
Narcissists lack precisely all of those skills. They cannot see anything beyond 'a day to day' scale, and constantly push for OTHERS to do the work *for* them.
LOL.. after all... that's how (and why) 'corporations' were created. 😕

@@Novastar.SaberCombat yeah no. Narcissists are manipulative and cunning to get their way. That takes self reflection for things around them so deducing narcissistic behavior as if it is for the ignorant is ignorance itself.
Intelligence isn’t based on behavior but knowledge and knowledge is gained in many different ways.
Just because narcissism is a negative quality doesn’t mean it has a negative affect on intelligence. That’s a very silly assumption.
There are ignorant people on the good and bad qualities of human characteristics.
How they go about things shows their intelligence and what they are capable of.
A character trait just shows their aim towards the means of a set goal

@@tonyelectionfraud669 No that's my reality. I was homeschooled through middle and high school. I chose not to go to college and am currently not going. I didn't have any social outlet to substitute for what I missed out on. At that younger age of being a teen(I'm 23 now) I was more introverted and didn't even think about the fact I was missing social interaction and would never get my time back. It's only the past 2-3 years I've realized I regret how things turned out but it's gone now. Now I just work my job and focus on my interests after work, and it's not like I've met many people to befriend at my job. I mean pretty much a good chunk of them are full blown adults 10+ years older than me. A lot of the ones my age I don't relate to well and don't care to befriend them. I try befriending some people, offering some way to hangout, trying to start conversations, say hi always, but it doesn't mean I'm going to get a friendship from that especially a meaningful friend I really like. Plus there's this covid bullshit. I am alone pretty much all the time outside of work and that's just how things are right now.

Our enemies bring out the best in us our friends the worst, our emotions can betray us its important to understand what we feel now in understanding that as apart of what the status quo is being maintained by now. People make more decisions based on emotion then reason, so empathy is a life skill in defining the role peoples emotional state is playing.

Im 17. I was a casual smoker before quarantine. It got to the point where I was smoking everyday. But to be fair, there isn't much else to do, which is why its so hard to stop currently. Im only 4 or 5 days sober but, I'm experiencing withdrawl (which yes, weed DOES have withdrawal systems after HEAVY usage). I barely eat due to the fact I always smoked before I ate, increasing my appetite. Its hard to sleep, due to weed making it very easy to go to sleep whenever I felt like giving into the tiredness. And due to the lack of education during quarantine, I've forgotten a LOT of knowledge and its now very hard to think straight. I used to smoke only to vibe to music and chill w friends in a more peaceful and deep-understanding sense. But during quarantine, i broke my morals and self rules to not smoke as a way of coping with pain. It THEN became an addiction. If I got upset from my constantly loud apt in which I have no room in (with 2 man child adults, father (63) and older brother (32). But I was also still smoking for music and when I chill w friends. This is not my first attempt during quarantine to go sober, as you can see, I recognize the issues within my smoking habits and the effects it causes. I keep trying to be sober because I recognize them. Its just been a very rough quarantine, I'm always alone, most of my friends dont even hmu despite me being the one person that always tries to keep the peace and hold the group together, and even the one who makes plans. My household is very loud 24/7 despite it only being 2 other people, and they are adults. I cannot tell them about their behavior because they will just brush it off and call me a "child" and to stay on my place (obviously ive tried before). Its been hard to even be myself. I dont speak to them much, I get irritated at just about anything they do because I can hear EVERYTHING in the entire apt suite from the living room which is where Im forced to live. This has caused many sleepless nights, many days of 2-3 hrs of sleep, and just overall constant stress and irritation. That is the main reason I've been smoking daily in quarantine. I put on my very loud gaming headphones after smoking, and I FEEL the music flow through my body. Music has always been my escape. Weed has always made music better to me, it helped me FEEL it rather than listen to it (also the headphones lol). This is not me complaining, im trying to deal with my situation as best as I can. I'm simply writing this to enlighting non-smokers, and even smokers who do not know about cannabis withdrawl, the reasons people do it, and the affect QUARANTINE has had on my consumption. If you read this whole thing, thank you and I hope it helps you in some way. Before I end this, I do want to say I am a very peaceful person, I am a pacifist (Due to growing up with my abusive mother and then moving into the violent ciry of Chicago) and I believe anybody can pull themselves out of a deep depression if they take the time to step back and look at the world outside of their own perspective. This planet is beautiful. Many humans are not, they can be cruel. But they can also be kind. Pursue love, pursue intimacy, help EACH OTHER, be open minded and stop being so judgmental. People are who they are, their differences are what make them unique. And lastly, have dignity, respect, and do the right thing when you see something bad happening to someone.

Hey man I’m in your same situation with the weed. Moved out of my parents back in March of 2019, then covid hit. Started smoking at the beginning of quarantine and here I am today still ripping away. Nothing to do, nobody to talk to but my gf, and a whole lotta weed. There ain’t much to do, all my friends moved away for different colleges, and most of the days are very quiet. You’re not entirely alone in terms of your situation tho brotha. If life gets hard, just light up your green, put on some 60’s psychedelic rock or some Jimi Hendrix, take a walk at sunset during good weather, think about how you’re gonna go about making improvements to your life, and try to look forward to the next day. You’ll feel a bit netter man, trust me. Your life isn’t even close to being all it is yet...when you hit age 20 and look back at you being 17, you’ll realize “man, that was 3 YEARS ago. Holy shit.” You’ll realize how much time you have to make your life better. Seems like you’ve started early...hell yeah.

    *How Human Nature Works*
Human nature is the desire to receive, also called “desire to enjoy,” and it functions by receiving what is beneficial to itself and rejecting what is harmful. Everything in our lives is built upon this calculation where we first try to distance ourselves from harm, and then seek how to draw ourselves closer to what is beneficial.
Human nature also includes a multilayering of systems that work simultaneously on still, vegetative, animate and human levels. One of those systems is our bodily one, which operates involuntarily. If our bodies are healthy, then they know what is good for them and draw that goodness to themselves. After the bodily system, there is the emotional system, which also functions relatively according to instinct. From the emotional system, we move to the mind, and from the mind to the intellect, and so on. That is, we have systems over systems that concurrently work on receiving what is beneficial and rejecting what is harmful.
Such is human nature and the essence of our lives. Our every desire, thought and action operates according to the calculation, “How can we receive what is most beneficial to us and reject what is harmful?”
