- Even if the punchline was super obvious, I'm surprised how hard they went on the horror aspect. Hope they go super hard on genres more in the future.
Anyway this might be my least favourite stage so far. The Nintendo representation is the usual stuff (even if some of the choices are a bit confusing) but the gameplay on average has to be the worst so far.
I'm noticing an unusual amount of microgames in this game in general that require stupid reactions. The Animal Crossing one feels like it'd be really stupid in All Mixed Up where the form memo strat doesn't really work. There's others in other stages I'll talk about when I get to them.
Fire Emblem one is kinda funny because it more than made up for how laughably easy their last microgame was. Now it swaps out Hand Model's usual jank for absurdly tight reactions and precision. It's super overtuned for some reason.
Some janky ones around like the DK one and Yoshi one. Guess it's not as egregious as some other stages though so I'll give it that. The SMB3 one feels really awkward more in gameplay though. I just see the form and move early to avoid the whole thing, though there is also that pattern with Bullet Bills at the top to start so you have to react a little later. I'll have to learn it proper sooner or later though...
Bummed to see another "stay still" microgame lol I'm really bad at those. There's quite a few microgames about being steady which I guess makes sense. I think my sense of balance in general is abnormally bad, especially for a WarioWare fan.
Boss stage seems like a really confusing choice. I'm a defender of Mario 64 DS but... idk really that's the best they could come up with? Using the three slide courses as difficulty levels is clever but it means there's nothing fresh here except for the controls. Kinda a letdown.
Also it gets too fast for me lol I'm just gonna admit without more practice and knowledge on strats to survive some parts I'm just not gonna be able to pull it off on max speed often. That's not a criticism though.
Does someone on the WarioWare staff really have it out for Pinball because it keeps showing up and it's always terrible. Please stop doing these, they never feel intuitive or fun or like you even have much say in where you fire them. I'd say this is the only microgame so far in the game I'd call flat out terrible and tbh it does really bring the stage down a lot and I didn't even like it to begin with.
Yeah I don't really see myself coming back to this stage much unless there happens to be some logic to the pinball one (and if I get good at the boss stage kek). Was a bit disappointed this time around but I'm sure others see it differently, not every stage can be a hit.
Yeah this is weirdly one of the more disappointing stages imo. Compared to previous Wariowares there aren't too many memorable microgames here (except for the Cucco one, that one is peak). Also, it kinda sucks that because of the conceit of this level, we don't really get to see any of 18 volt or 5 volt in Move It. I know Gold went a bit overkill with 3 Nintendo Levels, but man do I miss hearing 5 volt say "You're a star"
For me they just put too many Mario microgames in this stage. Hot take I know.
My disappointment was that there was only one microgame centered on non-game products. Granted, that one features MULTIPLE but it’s still disappointing
I think the slide was genius but I think “bump it” could have been replaced with like another pikmin game or a kid Icarus game
also i dont think there were a lot of toy microgames, only one
It might (when compared to the others) be kinda lackluster, but it's still one of my favorites
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but 9-volt might have my least favorite jingles in the game.
Yeah, there's that too. Horror stings don't really lend themselves very well to being pitch-shifted lol
Agreed. It's especially noticeable because jingles like Jimmy's, Orbulon's, and both Remix stages sound amazing (Jimmy's especially)
My favorites are Dribble Spitz, Wario and Cricket
Do they forget that Volcano Wario's are the same?
For me, the order would be:
Volcano Wario: 11th (Less favourite)
Mona: 10th
9-Volt: 9th
Kat & Ana: 8th
Ashley: 7th
Young Cricket: 6th
Wario: 5th
Jimmy T.: 4th
Dr. Crygor: 3rd
Dribble & Spitz: 2nd
Orbulon: 1st (Personal favourite)
I feel 9 volt's biggest crime was to instead of a don't move microgame with warioware references, they should have made a Smooth Moves call back microgame and return some of the Orbulon nunchuck microgames I think it would have been great and they should have just picked the form that applied the best like sky stretch for the one where you have to wave at a boat. Could have been better but it could have gone worse (I really don't like his stage in touched!)
This stage had a bit too much Mario and a bit too much switch games, like the fire emblem one or the ring fit one
Game: turn the gangster
Player: do nothing
Game: super sharpshooter!

Was thinking an alternative to this boss microgame would be the Tightrope Walk minigame in Wii Fit, using the Scales form. Leaning forward to step along the tightrope and then jumping to avoid the obstacles. Although we already have a Mii microgame, it would balance out the 5-6 Mario microgames fitted in lol.
I was thinking of giving rep to some more recent Nintendo IP that hasn't been done much in his stages like Splatoon or ARMS or something, something that represents the recent generation somewhat.
It does suck that the only recent games are either Ring Fit Trainer or Metroid Prime, and Ring Fit Trainer isn’t even emulating an action done in the game itself.
@@iantaakalla8180 there's also Paper Mario represented
@@flo4130wow another mario microgame, how unique.
@@unovi8141We already have a Splatoon microgame.
This is an extremely large (seemingly abandoned) game store, huh?
It's not a store, that's already a shopping center.
Its not abandoned you just gotta head to the back room at the 1000 meter mark to play some games (im late arent i)
@@Bingchill121 That's a lot of walking to do tho (also you're not late lol)
The way Mario saying “Here we go!” doesn't sound exactly what I expected from the end of the boss stage.
That's because he has a new voice actor now. We still respect the OG though.
@@destinygearsx1841, was it Kevin Afghani who was doing the “Here we go!” quote?
Yes.@@rougethebatlover9952
Yeah, recasting Mario for *ONLY A MICROGAME* that's based on Super Mario 64 feels a bit redundant, as they could've gone with archived recordings of Charles Martinet's voice in Mario 64 and called it a day. Why'd they have to create more work for Kevin in that way when he's already voicing Wario?
@@InfiniteFury2K, Nintendo is trying to erase Charles Martinet from history.
Since this is essentially Smooth Moves 2, I'll being tracking each fail as per usual. Speaking of:
Mario Pinball Land: 3
WarioWare Series: 2
Hogan's Alley: 1
Punch-Out!!: 1
Fire Emblem Engage: 1
Super Mario 64 DS: 1
Nintendo really went all out this time, and it shows
Wow only once to Fire Emblem? Must've gotten lucky lol
Can you timestamp them?
Game: Game Number (Bold Ended Run)
Hogan's Alley: 20
Mario Pinball Land: 21, 67, *114*
Punch Out!!!: 55
WW Series: 81, 110
FEE: 95
SM64DS: 105
Somehow I knew the game to take your last life would be Mario Pinball.
Yeah, it took mine too on my high score run
Mario pinball is one of the easiest thing ones you dont even really have to be prescise if you spam then you will easily win
I've got to say how terrifying it feels when going to the next level at 3:35 . It actually made me a little tol nervous and i game overed after 3 breaks or somewhere around 55 rounds.
Even the game over is terrifyingly horror like what was Nintendo thinking 😅
꿀팁 하나 알려드릴까요? 올려놓기(gift giver) 나오면 내려놓기(pounce) 자세를 취하세요 (올려놓기 자세 게임에는 움직이지 말라는 것 밖에 없어요ㅋㅋ)
Please makeing a 9-volt sandwich!
Ingredients:
Butter
Chocolate
Salt
Tomato sauce!
At least they made an attempt to make a horror Stage.
Не знаю, как вам, а мне что-то подсказывает, что выхода из этого места нет.
0:38 9-Volt: WHAT
1:44 Wait A Game
1:46 Increased Speed
2:30 Boss Time
This is the only stage in the game i actually dislike. Here’s why:
First of all, i don’t like how they use older games since they don’t fit in with the modern vibe of this game. You can’t overrely on nostalgia in your game, i mean it’s ok if you want to make a game that looks like it came out in the 2000’s but all of the different styles still need to feel like they’re from the same period.
I also don’t like how the transitions between microgames is just 9-Volt walking and then checking either the window or a cabinet, especially because the voicelines don’t fit at all with his mood, it should’ve just been him fighting monsters that are apart of his hallucination.
Also there should’ve been at least one or two horror microgames in here just saying.
at the very least it included like 4 switch games
Are you thinking of doing co-op again like in Get It Together?
Possibly, though I'm still not sure how it'll even work in this game so I'll check it out at some point at least
@@unovi8141It is essentially you and the other player alternate microgames and then occasionally you play a microgame that is designed for two players.
I’m glad they brought paper Mario the origami King in WarioWare move it
Is it just me or am I getting some serious insidious vibes here?
8:49 Increase Speed
4:35 and 4:47: Be careful!
21:21 and 21:22: That was a scary end!
9 volt’s biggest sin was making a minigame where you have to not move in a game thats supposed to make you move your body. Also why is link trying to catch the cucco it will call in his friends if he gets caught. Or is that only if it gets attacked? I never played zelda lol
1:01 Hey i have the blue and yellow controller too
