"Panum nostrum da nobis hodie". For most of my life I have usually prayed that this goes both ways. We are asking Our Lord to provide for our temporal needs AND ESPECIALLY to provide us with His Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity every day. (Now that I'm retired I really have to make the effort to receive as often as is offered at this parish. Almost daily.)

That was a great explanation of the sacred prayer. I always thought give us this day our daily bread, the bread meant nourishment for our soul.

My thoughts exactly. I always thought it meant that we are asking the Lord to not let us go hungry, or not be with out food. Wow, I learn something new every day. Thank you, Lord. Many blessings, everyone.

Pope Francis has included Joseph in addition to Jesus and Mary. ❤
