And as most suspect, he's probably most likely an alcoholic, as well - I don't think it's much of a stretch to assume that if you just observe the guy's behaviors a lot of times while on camera. What they describe here about Carl is most likely a guy who is abusing alcohol, most likely doing so to cover up other problems he's dealing with in his life. We don't know him personally, but it's pretty apparent the dude is going through something and needs help.
As someone who has had multiple alcoholics in his family, based on his appearance on shows & in videos, Carl is absolutely an alcoholic. Every dozen episode he’s piss drunk, and it seems like they’re recorded mid-day for east coast people, so it’s even earlier in Arizona.
I've had to quit and part ways with people in my life who I perceived as unhinged and unstable where it became a serious quality of life matter and based on the account of these guys-- an unsustainable occupational hazard. Props for sharing even though this is clearly a private and in-house matter. Until it continues to fester on an exposed level.
I definitely picked up on that that there was tension last year, and I’m glad they finally addressed it to best they could. The fact that this has been happening for a long time makes it seem like the Chicago issues weren’t taken as serious as they should have been from the higher ups than other company conflicts (ex: Rico in NY).. With Big Cat coming back to Chicago, I hope more things can be addressed because that’s just not acceptable behavior to not be reprimanded or asked to go on some mental health break.

I saw and met Carl last year outside a bar in Omaha at the College World Series. He was stoned and drunk out of his mind (not to be judgemental, I was drinking/smoking the entire weekend as well) but he seemed almost lost out on the street a few miles from the stadium. I don’t think he’s a bad guy and he was nice to me for the most part (we only spoke to him for a minute or two) but something seemed off with him, not that I know him personally outside of the content I see. I hope he can figure his shit out, like we’ve all had to do throughout our lives but the whole situation makes me sad. I hope he can get the help he needs and can open his mind to help.

Sadly, our younger cousin, Thomas, has some severe mental handicaps. He was not making a Nazi salute, and he did not deserve to be attacked. Nor did our mother, who was sitting with Thomas and Carl when it happened. It has been a pretty horrible experience for our family, but thanks for bringing it up unnecessarily. Thomas has been a fixture at Cubs games for years and is a wonderful kid. The person who attacked him was arrested, charged with misdemeanor battery, and ultimately received probation. I try to stay out of the muck when it comes to my brother and his colleagues, but for this one, I will happily chime in and tell you to pound sand.
